What happens with computer jobs, is that the person is only allowed one or two sites, that specifically are for the position. Everything else is locked out.

This is common in call center jobs, or home bound jobs now, the company can provide a computer, that only allows the sites for the job duties.
I'm assuming he will always work for his dad, a family member, or a church member. I'm not seeing him getting any other job, at least not one that could support his large family.

I agree. He apparently doesn’t know what it means to have to work hard for his money. He is really pathetic. When I see men doing roofing work or road work in this hot weather I really feel bad for them and don’t know how they do it. He has 6 kids and 1 on the way and does little to bring in a steady income.

People who are on "sex crimes" lists get jobs. Truck driving, baking, sales, manufacturing, doing taxes, construction, stocking, customer service, on the phone...depending on their skills, there are jobs available. And people who are released, on probation do get jobs. But Josh Duggar doesn't seem to have a great skill set, as far as I know. He is definitely employable, the problem is that INMO, he doesn't seem to be overly motivated.

Yes.

Years ago when I worked for the state, the other half of our building was Probation & Parole.

The parole officers said that they could tell which parolees would stay out of prison by the parolee's job search. At that time, a parolee had 30 days -- that's all, no extensions, no excuses -- to find a job or return to the Department of Corrections.

Parolee's who valued their freedom might wash dishes for a few months, or clean cattle barns, or mop floors & clean toilets, or something else they wouldn't have considered before, just to stay in the community.

Josh would have options.

Since he's not working, maybe he qualifies for unemployment benefits? That, along with the stimulus checks and the child tax credits, should keep food on the table during his "trying" times.

If there are entities/properties that are in his name (or wife’s name), they probably have to be prudent about (mis)representing their finances in areas like public assistance. And as a total aside, the pandemic benefits do not go to a household with over 150k income. I don’t know their finances and don’t watch their show. MOO.

I really don't remember anymore when this family became famous. I know someone spotted them when there were, I think, 14 kids and they were all lined up going someplace, dressed the way they used to dress in their humbler and poorer days, and thought they'd make good TV. I would think that back then, Josh was just the oldest of the bunch and had responsibilities, even though I know it's the girls that did all the mothering.

I'm wondering if his life was actually difficult in those days, in a little house with 13 younger siblings. However, if he molested his sisters when he was only 14 or 15, then he wasn't yet famous. So JB and M were coddling and protecting him even before they had a TV reputation to uphold? And the money it made for JB?

IIRC their family tv show was part of the much-larger "reality shows" of the first decade of the 2000's.

Problem is this: by the time that show aired in what, 2008, we had already cut that cable tv cord. Only time I ever heard about the Duggars was on the Internet in articles and such.

Is the tax credit, actual cash though, or a discount on the tax you would pay?

AFAIK, if he's been filing tax returns and reporting income, he could be eligible.

How can I calculate my base period?

Your benefit amount is determined by how much you worked and earned during the 12-month period of time called the “Base Period.” A Base Period is defined as the first 4 of the last 5 completed calendar quarters. There are 4 quarters in a calendar year:

The 1st quarter is January, February and March
The 2nd quarter is April, May and June
The 3rd quarter is July, August and September
The 4th quarter is October, November and December

Wonder if Josh worked for wages in the previous 12 months...and if he worked for JB, were taxes withheld and all applicable employment regulations met?

There must be a dollar value for the living quarters, too.

IMO I'd rather Josh never gets a job for the next 18 1/2 years, until his unborn child is eighteen. Until then, I'd much prefer he's found guilty and is imprisoned for that length of time. He can do whatever prison job he has to do, and JB should take all his TV money and use it to support Anna and the kids.

I know Anna is sticking up for Josh, but her kids need her, so I want JB to take care of all of Josh's family. And pay for Anna to have a nanny or someone to help, for the sake of the kids' well-being.

Thank You for posting this. I agree he could get a job doing something. He owes it to his children to lead by example and instill in them the value of a good work ethic.

There is a village in Florida where sex offenders live. Several articles over the years exploring the challenges in meeting probation requirements (not living within a certain radius of schools, for starters). I’ll link one below from Time - Vice & I think Buzzfeed also had some in-depth pieces.

Yep. He’ll continue working with those who will coddle and enable him, like they’ve done since he was a 14-15 year old child molester. If he had to get a job outside of the family or their connections, he might have to do some actual work. He probably spends most of his time now trying to come up with a work-around so he can get back to his 🤬🤬🤬🤬 viewing.

IF (Josh or) any one goes to trial for a crime, is found guilty, sentenced to 5 years or more, can the children receive SS monies, as if the convict was deceased, to help provide with the care of the children. Or will (Anna or) the spouse or care giver solely be relying on (her)in laws or ( her) own parents for money support? With 6-7 kids, many needing daycare as they are so little, (her) the spouses working wages would be eaten up in day care costs and nothing left for everyday expenses. I am just wondering what the law is, Federal Law I would think applies here.
Thanks

Just going back to the root of this story.
My take. Man of many children arrested for child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on his computer.
If my husband had child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on his computer, I would consider him a sick, twisted evil man.
There is nothing he could say or do to change my mind.
Child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 = equals very sick evil person. Imo.

Anna said Josh is innocent. She has taken children to see him.

Innocent of accessing the worst child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 or she thinks there is nothing wrong with that, because he is not doing it, just watching it?

My guess is she doesn’t believe the evidence authorities have against him or she thinks he was framed by President Biden. Jmo
