I am honestly not sure if he will take a plea. He's SO smug and I think he really thinks he can weasel his way out of this and will try, even when it will be to his detriment. Now, whether or not he'll take a plea under legal advisement...he might. I'm not sure. I just want him to get the harshest possible punishment.

I think there will be a divide in the Duggar family over who stands by him and who doesn't, at least openly. I doubt any of them will publicly go against him or be very overt about their thoughts, but will be in private. I can't imagine his sister Jill (one of his known victims), who was been semi-estranged from the family, will stand by him...

Wow, it looks like Anna is proud of her man. Very strange reaction to the charges her husband faces. Also given his history, how can she possibly think he’s completely innocent in this?

I'm just tossing this out to see what other opinions are.

If Josh takes a plea and is sentenced to jail (of course), I have a feeling he will write a book, Anna will write a book or 1 or more of his supporters will do a podcast proclaiming his innocence. After all, Anna stated that President Biden is responsible for the indictment. There are no civil suits preventing such actions at this point that I am aware of.

Or will they just say nothing?

I think that this will fizzle out, Josh is going to jail. Anna is going to be a church welfare case, with her seven children, JB Duggar will not want any books written, because he wants this whole mess to dissappear. Josh Duggar brought down two of the family's money making shows. I think JB Duggar is desperately trying to figure out a new spin on the family franchise.

Do you think Anna would continue to live the next 20 some years on Duggar property in a building with no windows, under the thumb of JimBob? I San see many issues and problems arising. JimBob would want a 100% say in the way the kids were raised and money was spent, what any of them did or did not do.

I wonder if Anna would go back to her where her family lives…..and yes, be on welfare and any church monies.

Josh would be sent to any prison, maybe not close by either so staying with Duggars would not always give her the opportunity to visit.

Not only will the trial or plea deal be interesting so will the after math. Feel bad for the children! night all

The Federal Bureau of Prisons normally will place inmates within a 500 mile radius of their homes. There is a Federal prison in Forrest City Arkansas that is 288 miles away from the Duggar home. I think this is where Josh will end up when he is likely convicted or accepts a plea deal.

There are 3 secure levels in the Forrest City prison system. Minimum Security, Low Security and Medium Security. First time non-violent white collar inmates are often placed in the Minimum Security Camp where Josh might go. However, he might get the higher classification of Low Security and end up in a more standard prison. I doubt he will be classified as Medium Security.

Anna and Josh could make alot of money by writing a tell-all book but at the cost
of losing JB's support. The only book JB would approve would be the whitewashed version.

Note that Jill is estranged from him because of going her own way so imagine the family rift that a tell-all book would cause. Yikes!

If Josh is convicted I do not see supporters doing Podcasts proclaiming his innocence. There would be too much evidence against him to be able to defend him and it would make the host of the Podcast look bad. To be blunt, like they are supporting child abuse.

I'm going to self-report this post, but I'm wondering if we could change the title of the thread to "Charged with....Child Sexual Abuse Material" rather than "Child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬".

Yeah that would not be cool at all.

Jim Bob already dictates what members of the family can and cannot do, even adult children have to follow his rules. I don't think Josh being out of the picture is going to change things for Anna as far as how her children are raised goes.

I also don't think she's going to return to her parents. They run (or ran) a prison ministry and I believe strongly that they'll want her to stay close to Josh to "minister" to him and "bring him back to God."

I suspect the warehouse is not a legal residence; eg two means of egress from sleeping quarters.

Jessarox, Thanks for that info about her parents, and can I say…oh yuck, sounds like a cult.

I am surprised the county has not said something or even told the Duggars that no one should be living in the storage barn…..but then I am not surprised being that JimBob is probably calling in favors (moo).

maybe that’s why Josh and Anna bought a trailer house with one bathroom for how many people???? Maybe someone did tell JImBob they have to move out and as a ‘friend’ they can only hold the authorities off for so long before it becomes serious eviction time. That’s why a trailer was purchased. Now will Anna and kids move?

We don’t know , just speculating, I want to be a fly on those walls.

Thanks CoolCats, I did not think the Federal Government really cared about placing inmates within a certain time or mileage of their family….just so family could see them. He might be placed in a facility that has other like inmates with like crimes, just so he can live through his incarceration. Wrong people get a hold of him he will not know how to fight back to save himself. Again, JimBob could call in favors.

What a mess he has made for so many.

I think proximity to family is one consideration in placement, as familial bonds may reduce recidivism. (One consideration out of several). JMO.

Just curious, does anyone know the typical level of the incarceration for CSA offenders. Surely it is not minimum security???

I don't know if this is the norm but someone from my old church was a first time offender for solicitation of a minor (he was caught in a sting operation so thankfully no actual victims!) and he was placed at a low security prison. Well known fundamental Baptist pastor Jack Schaap is also at the same facility and he was convicted of taking a minor across state lines for the purpose of sex sooo it seems like CSA is not always considered "serious enough" for medium or high security prison.

Josh & Anna bought land & mobile home ONE WEEK before child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 arrest

The Sun can exclusively reveal Anna, 33, purchased .272 acres of land under Ravenglass North, a business LLC in her name, on April 22.

According to property records, the land includes a 1,216 square-foot mobile home built in 1987.

The mobile home boasts one full bathroom and a wood deck.

The property cost just $1.

Josh and Anna had been living in a run-down warehouse on the Duggar family compound before his arrest.

The warehouse has been featured on the family’s now-canceled reality show Counting On, as Anna’s Instagram photos matched the inside of the space.

Josh Duggar's pregnant wife Anna 'is convinced he will soon be free'

A source has since told The Sun exclusively that Anna is "extremely confident" her husband will not be jailed - and hopes he will be able to be present at the birth of their seventh child in coming weeks.

"Anna is convinced Josh will be a free man soon and be able to raise their kids, she should be worried she's going to be alone with seven children, but she isn't," they said.

"She also doesn't seem to care what anyone says, or if people think she's crazy, Anna is standing by Josh.

I still think that behind the scenes Josh's legal team is trying to get the federal charges off the table and flip to state jurisdiction. That would be an amazing magical hat trick if they can pull that off.

More room to negotiate for reduced sentencing, federal charges have mandatory sentencing.

I don't think that we have seen the end game yet. However, I am very interested in the aggressive position by the defense to suppress the evidence of pictures taken of Josh Duggar's hands.

It's a Federal case and can't be changed into a State case with Federal charges being dropped. However, the State can bring their own charges. Double whammy.
