I don't know. Anna has been living in the "Tin Shed" for years. It seems to me that Pa Duggar keeps a tight grip on people by keeping the money. And money gets doled out, depending on obedience to JB Pa Duggar.

That would be beyond me. I would work two or three jobs before being beholden to anyone for money. Forget it. That is the worst kind of manipulation to me. (Mickey is NOT obedient!!!) Ever. My husband tells me to do something, I usually ignore him. Busy doing crafts or something. I would not have been a good Duggar child. Or wife.

You my friend would definitely not be “Duggar Approved”!

Several of his kids as I understand it, have also parted ways. I’ve listened to a few of their podcasts. Interesting dynamics in the family, even as the kids are now adults.

As for Josh, I don’t understand what he can possibly do after the SC denied his appeal?

The former reality star was originally scheduled for release in October 2032, but that date has now been pushed back to December.
This is reportedly the second time Josh's release date has been postponed. He was originally set to be freed on August 12, 2032.

The first postponement came after Duggar was found with a cell phone in February 2023. Prisoners are not allowed to have cell phones while incarcerated.

The only way I would consider him to be “healed”, or whatever the term may be, is if he voluntarily agreed, going forward, to never to be in the accompaniment of children alone, and agreed to have all internet access monitored. For the rest of his life. Change is hard, and in this case, considering his past, and with images and opportunities so readily available today, he needs to acknowledge his weakness and propensities toward this behavior, and be amenable to having constraints placed on him.

My point was that probably the best outcome that can be expected is that he acknowledges and accepts that he can’t ever be left alone with children again, and that he shouldn’t ever have unfettered access to the internet, considering that he likely has a high propensity toward recidivism (the whole leopard thing).

Sorry Josh, you had one of the best attorneys in the area for defense. The fact that you still insist that you are completely innocent, and that everyone else lied, doesn't work.

The only way forward for him, imo, is to acknowledge everything. He has to take responsibility for, not only his actions in the past, but also for the very real problem he has with those tendencies/temptations which, considering the totality and seriousness of the behavior, we have to presume will be life-long. Now, in addition to acknowledging these things, he has to fully acknowledge that the public, and those in his life with young children, will never be completely comfortable with him.
So, he has to be willing, voluntarily, to have severe limitations placed on his access to the internet and to children for the rest of his life.

Now, if he had participated in the making of the videos, imo, going forward would all be moot, as I’d say the only appropriate action is the DP.
