Every phone call, every visit and all communications are monitored. Especially in a high profile case like this.

I hope these reports are true and the take down SP but I have to admit "day late and a dollar short" keeps running through my mind----- wish we had a rewind button.

A Time Turner, as in Harry Potter. I felt that way as soon as it happened.

My faith tells me that Charlie and Braden are with Susan now and that they are free from pain and the terror of their last moments here on earth. I am so angry though on behalf of all those who love them all and already miss them.

How can Steven Powell be a POI? We all know that Susan ran off with Steven Koecher, right? I mean, Steven Powell and Josh Powell put together all the details about how the hyper sexual Susan ran off with Mr. Koecher and abandoned her children. They then posted their Susan/Koecher run off story on the internet, and graciously outlined for LE how it must have happened (despite no evidence that Susan ever met Mr. Koecher). HUGE EYE ROLL.

Steven Powell definitely had a hand in what happened to Susan, in my opinion. He not only enabled his son to conceal the truth, he joined (or led?) him in concocting stories that made Susan out to be a run away mother, someone who flirted with her pervy father in law, selfish and greedy... He and Josh the murderer pulled Steven Koecher into their lies, a man who may well be a victim of a foul play himslef, with no regard whatsover for Mr. Koecher or his loved ones. All in attempts to deflect from the truth and create reasonable doubt about what they both know really happened.

At the very least, Steven Powell is an accessory after the fact, in my opinion. But, I would not be surprised if he was in fact the mastermind behind all of the evil perpetrated by Josh the murderer. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE STEVEN POWELL ARRESTED ON CHARGES RELATED TO SUSAN!

It doesn't make sense to me either, unless Josh emailed/texted some important information to someone about where Susan is and what happened.

I said a while back that I would be grasping at straws here, but I want to have the hope they LE will find Susan and lay her to rest with her children.

I saw the evil in this disgusting excuse for a human every time I saw footage of him after Susan's disappearance. Every time I saw him running from the cameras clutching one of the children close to his chest like he was using them as a shield from the truth of the horror he had already committed against their Mother. And I saw an even more disturbed and tortured soulless individual during the first custody hearing...at that time I was frightened at the sight of him. I knew I was looking at pure evil, a person that was capable of the unspeakable.
Why no one else in that courtroom saw the same thing is beyond my comprehension. It is haunting to me how many times after seeing him and thinking of what may come at his hands that it chills me to the bone. I am just so sick over this.

Yep, I don't think those were "explosions" that he rigged. This appears to be an old-fashioned arson. It burned very fast because he used gasoline.

He used a LOT of gasoline.. That house wasn't that large.. 10 gallons of gasoline poured on everything would have been explosive all by itself when ignited. The "explosions" the neighbors reported hearing could have been the tires on the car exploding, cans of paint or any kind of aerosol products exploding.. You would probably be surprised at what household products you have in your home that would make large "bang" when exposed to heat or flames...

I hope they dig deep into Steven Powell's past because their are still young women missing out there and I wouldn't be one bit surprised if he has killed other women.This man is a freak psycho.

I think the fumes from the gas would be more likely to cause the explosion than the liquid gas on the floor. JMO

I have lit camp fires with just a few cups of gas...OUTDOORS and got quite a concussion effect when igniting the fuel. Lucky to have been standing back or would have been injured.

A "defensive action" for firefighters mean they pour water on the burning building but they also pour LOTS of water on the surrounding exposures... Anything flammable near that house would have had a LOT of water put on it to keep the fire from spreading to the woods or the surrounding homes/structures.

One of the views of the home I saw on one of the many news organizations that are covering this showed a view from what looked like the rear of the home.. There was a small storage shed in the yard and it didn't appear burned. "Defensive action"; They poured a lot of water on that shed to keep the fire from spreading to it and then to the fence and tree behind it. Plus, they had no idea what might be in that shed. More gasoline?

2 things....first I am SICK SICK SICK to read about an axe involved. OMG. I can't even...I'm speechless... WHY? WHY? WHY? I'm so angry!

Second thing...could the circumstantial evidence being talked about actually be related to Josh?? Like they had circumstantial evidence but wanted more and were waiting to arrest him? Oh God, I hope not.

Agreed that they had no chance to get inside the building. When fighting a fire you try to extinguish it/ or contain it. This was a containment/defensive. The house was fully engulfed they could not put FF's in the bldg. It is very clear to me that they had been briefed in the earliest stages, and were also preserving the crime scene.

Exactly.. I didn't word my post correctly.. 10 gallons of gas spread around the interior of the house would give off a LOT of fumes.. **boom** Then the liquid takes over and the fire burns fiercely enough to fully involve the home very fast...

(I'm reaching into my "memory bank" here.. I was the wife of a firefighter back in the 70's and 80's.. )

I don't think a text from JP would be enough for LE to decide that an arrest was justified. They would have to investigate it, etc...this timing seems weird to me, of LE naming SP as a suspect. Kind of like a belated CYA, I don't know...

Oh my dear Lord in heaven I never ever even began to think along these lines... In now attempting to get caught up reading this evening's posts I truly believe that Dr. FESSEL IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT regarding his words below:

I felt all along this was an act of pure rage. He had to hurt the boys first and terrorize them to make them pay because he hated them so much and was filled with rage. He was an animal since the day he came back after killing Susan and should have been treated like one.

There just after are no words for the horror those little boys felt in those moments.. Going from being excited jumping outta the car and running straight into the horror that awaited them.. With absolutely no idea what and who they were running to... My mind cannot bear to think about what their little minds were thinking!!!!! A monster is what they saw and no doubt were looking into the eyes of pure, fully evolved evil!!!

My God it could not have played out more favorably for JP.. WHAT I MEAN IS that the actual way that the circumstance played out with the boys arriving and their immediately jumping outta the car and running straight for the front door leaving the social worker behind... That event alone made Jp's mission literally a cake walk... It's sick and it's the ultimate of tragic that these precious little boy's love for their daddy in their literally running to him.. It is that, that literally sealed the deal of their fate... Think about it had it even ever so slightly happened the least bit differently it could have altered the plan tremendously, possibly even thwarting the plan...

If even just their not running ahead of the sw... That alone could have made things ATLEAST more difficult.. Think about the fact that if one of the boys ran inside but the other didn't.. The other son walked up with the sw... The smell of gas was heavy in the air and had the boys or even one of the boys had been alongside the sw there's no way in hell she would have let them step foot In the home... There would have been major difficulties to say the least if any number of things went even the slightest of different than how they played out... but God only knows why but the way it played out could not have been more perfect for this monsters mission... It's just devastating and evil especially with this latest news of what traumatic proportions were these boys last minutes as they ran to their daddy!!

I was so very mistaken in my thinking there were likely NO PRE-INCAPACITATING injuries... So very wrong... I never could have imagined..
