Kathleen Savio's death #2

I think it has been in the media that she was beaten, I don't remember if it was Dr. Baden or the family that has said that. But it hasn't been in the media anywhere that she did not die immediately from her injuries.

From the way I read that, she may have lain there alive for a period of time before she died and DrewP arranged for her to be found.

And I didn't think my contempt for the alleged 'man' could get any worse. But it has.

Her actual cause of death was drowning. However, Dr. Bowden did say she was beaten. So, she most likely was beaten, possibly knocked unconscious, then held under water until she died. I am certain she was dead before Drew left. And, by her being found more than 24-hours later, her time of death can't be pin pointed with complete accuracy, but only bracketed. Anything like that makes investigation more difficult, better for her killer Drew.

Ok, in rereading that it says "left dead" not "left for dead"- my mistake.

We can only hope that MAYBE they've been shielded from this (for now) in order to deal with the loss of Stacy. Later on, they'd obviously have to be told, and I agree, major counseling will be in order for them. DP has inflicted the ultimate pain upon his OWN family. How he looks into a mirror I'll never know... What a loser and a coward.
:loser:

At ages 13 and 14, they have to know. The 14-year-old is probably a freshman in high school and the 13-year-old an eighth-grader. Kids that age talk. If they believe what they're being told by their contemporaries, they have to know that their father murdered their mother, that Stacy knew what happened and covered for their father, and now she's missing. They know that she didn't run off with another man, she's missing. If they've watched Steve Carcerano recite his account of what happened the night their mother's body was found, they might be thinking back to that time and be questioning some of the things they've been told vs what they remember happening.

Interesting comment left by Kathleens sister in regards to a story on the new website reported at abc7chicago.com. Seems questionable regarding the donations. From the below linked article:

In regards to the Kathleen Savio web site, Henry M. Savio and Anna M. Savio-Doman are not associated with this web site. Neither one of us knew anything about it until we heard about it on the news today.<br/>Also, Kathleen Savio along with Anna M. Savio, Henry M. Savio and Susan Savio were from their father Henry J. Savio's FIRST marriage. Nicholas Harold Savio (person named on the web site to receive donations) is from Henry J. Savio's THIRD marriage and is thus only a 1/2 brother to all of us, including K

Meanwhile, Savio's half-brother launched a Web site in Kathleen Savio's honor.

"We were thinking about it and we wanted to do it for a while. It will keep Kitty's story out there. It keeps the story going," said Nicholas Savio, 25, of Hammond.

He said the Web site, www.kathleenkittysavio.com, will also be used to collect donations on behalf of battered women. The donations will be given to shelters.

Anna Doman, Savio's sister who lives in Romeoville, said that she had been unaware of the site's existence and that she is not involved in the fundraising for battered women's shelters.

Probably not. Anna was suspicious enough to make that post.

When I went to that site earlier today, I thought "what kind of rinkydink site is this". The poor wording for one sent my hinky meter up, then when I did a cross check of the address they have listed to send money was the kicker.

This is who Anna was referring to in her post. Not to be a grammer Nazi, but he's lacking grammar skills:

We would be so thankful she is crying for help, We would also like to start a fund for battered women in Kathleen Savio's name Any donations can be sent to 7833 Delmar Avenue Hammond, Indiana 46324 care of Nicholas Harold Savio. Any type of donation no matter the amount would be greatly appreciated. Please leave a return address so we may let you what battered womens shelter the money was sent to and also so we can thank you.

Yep, read like something a kid put together. Poor Henry and Ana have been to the vigils and have made statements to the press. I hate to think that someone woud contibute thinking they had anything to do with it. Here is their photo at the vigil http://websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1859141&postcount=74

The article was well written, imo. While I think the people on FSP.com were doing this to honestly help in the effort to find Stacy, I think it went from an idea on the board to up and running without thinking anything through. I happened to be reading on the board there when this occurred.

I stayed away from that conversation as I thought it was a bad idea...just like charging $5 each for the Stacy buttons that someone had made up. (I felt like that was pretty steep, to say the least.) People should never make money off our missing. There are those that are opportunistic, such as DP and Brodsky, to use the internet for financial gain and it is very disgusting to me.

SS you are right ..there should never be a profit in the sense of helping to find the answers to how, when and why someone went missing or met their demise.

I don't quite understand the family dynamics with the Savios. I have children who are half brothers and sisters...but you would NEVER hear them mention it! They don't even consider it being a factor. I guess it is the way you raise your children, but in our case...the half that makes them siblings is the only half that counts.

IMO, there's alot that's gone on at FSP that will come back and bite Stacy's family in the butt if her case ever gets to trial. Especially if there is ever a custody issue with the kids or a wrongful death suit filed. I've always said they needed to stay off the blog or shut it down. I was really happy that Cassandra hired an attorney. I just wished it had been sooner.

Ok, I'm confused:waitasec:
The Savio family had nothing to do with Savio's charity web site?
Who put the site up?

 • #357
I don't think it was a bad thing for Cassandra to be involved with the site. I found it no different than the many families we have on here that still find themselves in the midst of ongoing missing/murder cases. Her input on the board was cautious, imo, and she was garnering support for herself, the family and most of all, Stacy.

The people who consider themselves "true" family weren't aware of it. The people who set it up are still family, but the rest of the family seem to not acknowledge them. Sad, isn't it? I think it might not be sinister at all and the other side reaching out to help in some way. However, since the "true" family has seemingly disowned the other...they want to paint it a different way. Perhaps the good intentions weren't set up correctly, but maybe their hearts were truly in the right place.

Unfortunately some of Cassandra's comments weren't cautious. She's gone back and deleted some. Especially the one's involved the the blog war between her site and Greta's. Even though she's deleted comments she had second thoughts about, they are still out there. Any legal team Drew hires will be getting all of the records. Comments, emails, pm's, everything. And they will be used against her and the family. That kind of headache their family does not need right now. Drew's legal team will not play fair.

I think the family of Laci Peterson set up a model that I wish Stacy Peterson's family had followed.
An ongoing timeline of the story; a space for fundraiser announcements, and a guestbook for comments.
I don't think the idea of creating a forum format for Stacy was such a wise idea. Just my opinion.
