Although I haven't posted much during this trial since work is so busy I am always too far behind, I'm here in spirit always and wishing for the knockout punch of closing arguments to be fierce for Kelsey!

A few other things:
- PF is an arrogant, stupid killer - thank goodness
- His disbelief that Kelsey's disappearance was such a big deal/news is textbook classic narcissist sociopath thinking - they have no real human emotions so can't imagine that others are loved (except for themselves, of course, everybody lurrrrrves their magnificent selves!)
- Ma Frazee is, as I suspected, a malevolent force behind the narcissistic psychopathy that is PF - she won't be the first or last evil crow whispering in her dear son's ear that they'd all be better off if they had the little baby all to themselves (Nicole Montalvano case comes to mind) - she's cut from the same cloth as Chris Watts or Scott Peterson's mother (winning strong points in the nurture column of the nature vs nurture argument)

Thanks @PommyMommy for the updates; I am at work and can't read all of the posts. I hope the site doesn't fail when the verdict comes down, hopefully today! Two years ago, I served on a jury in a criminal trial and I remember that the jury instructions took quite a long time. But I hope the case goes to the jury by early afternoon.
Justice is close! Sending more love and prayers to the Berreths and Kelsey's loved ones.

If he's inside the courthouse -- he's not going to give up his seat today to transmit messages. Sure it's crowded in there!
Definitely! Elise reported more than 100 spectators. I can't imagine all those people in that tiny courtroom. :eek: MOO

While we are waiting I thought I would post this.

Different murder case, but this is testimony today from a crime scene expert with bloody images of a murder from blunt force trauma. He goes over blood spatter, transfer etc... Seems like it would be somewhat similar to what KK saw in KB's condo.

Other than (potentially) the verdict, what the defense says during closing will be the most interesting part of today.

We knew what the prosecution was going to do, but the defense’s strategy is still up in the air. We’ve only heard their opening statement, in which they made a bunch of promises that they completely failed to deliver on.

Other than that and cross, we haven’t heard a thing from them. It’s all damage control of course, but I just want to see how bad things are for them.

Knowing that the defense had to sit through last week in court with knowledge of PF's solicitations from the jailhouse -- that had to really suck the wind out of their already tattered sail.

They are true professionals just for showing up every day. PF didn't deserve them. So much respect for the Colorado personnel serving in the name of justice for the people. MOO

I fully expect them to ignore that stuff. If you can’t win on the facts, you have to try and win on emotion. Use the hate of KK to manipulate the jury into ignoring the things that actually matter.

Well, exactly. But I don't think that the jury is going to be sidetracked by the defense trying to create conflict at this point. Although, that is what losers try to do.. "look at this, look at that", without even giving an explanation and/or theory of what the heck they are talking about... and none of it has one iota of substance which should be considered. I think they will "roll and scroll" right over that attention provoking poking of the pig so to say.

Kelsey never had a chance. Even if she knew he was abusive and controlling, (hence her depression), she could not leave baby K and he sure was not going to let her take her to safety. In this trial, I am so thankful the world got to see beautiful Kelsey for who she was - a loved and adored mother, sister, daughter and friend. She protected her child to the end and still does. Any man who could kill Kelsey in cold blood with absolutely no provocation could certainly kill a child. My heart and love and prayers to the Berreth family today and always. In Kelsey, we see a mother who protected her baby at all costs. In her family, we see where she learned that.

I wonder if this means they already had all jury instructions?

The day began with Judge Scott Sells instructing seven female and five male jurors how to proceed their deliberation, only considering the facts of this case, and having no communication or research about the trial to influence a decision. Frazee wore a blue-stripped-dress shirt, staring at the jurors during instruction.

Prosecution rests after closing statements in Patrick Frazee trial

I have been following that trial. I hope that justice will be done for the four murder victims, but I suspect it won't.

NOV 18 - MORNING BREAK

Jakob Rodgers on Twitter
UPDATE: Prosecutors paint #PatrickFrazee as cold, calculating and conniving killer in closing arguments of his trial. "His intent was to kill her (#KelseyBerreth) and finish her off, since she was a problem to him. She was a problem that he needed to go away."
@csgazette

"No body, no crime. That's what the defendant has been banking on for several months. The problem for him is evidence," says prosecutor Beth Reed of #PatrickFrazee during closing arguments.
@csgazette #KelseyBerreth

"We all wish #KelseyBerreth would walk through that door right now," says prosecutor Beth Reed. "That's never going to happen."
In using that last sentence, Reed repeats #PatrickFrazee's own words to another person about Berreth a day before his arrest.
@csgazette

Sam Kraemer @SamKraemerTV
Prosecution just wrapped their closing argument. They stressed that Frazee planned this. That it was premeditated, calculated, cold and cruel. That Berreth was planning a future while he was planning her death.

Prosecutor shows last picture of #KelseyBerreth alive -- one at a Safeway. "This is not consistent with someone who's suicidal. It's consistent with someone who believes she has a future. A future with the man who is about to kill her."
@csgazette #PatrickFrazee

And prosecutor Beth Reed showed a photo of #PatrickFrazee's truck after he apparently leaves #KelseyBerreth's house on Thanksgiving Day last year. The box, Reed says, is in a different position.
@csgazette

"Because #KelseyBerreth is in that box. Her beaten and battered body is in that box. And he's going to take it to his house, where he keeps it in the back of the truck while he eats Thanksgiving dinner with his family," prosecutor says.
@csgazette #PatrickFrazee

Prosecutor Beth Reed sought to bolster the testimony of her star witness, Krystal Lee, who was #PatrickFrazee's mistress. Lee endured an aggressive cross-examination from Frazee's defense team that hit on her credibility and motivations for testifying.@csgazette #KelseyBerreth

"Everything Krystal Lee said, testified to and told you about on the stand, is corroborated by all the the other physical evidence, and evidence this case," said prosecutor Beth Reed. @csgazette #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee

Prosecutors in #PatrickFrazee’s murder trial deliver closing arguments. Attorney spends about an hour laying out timeline & evidence, ends w/ “the evidence compels you to one verdict and one verdict only and that is the defendant is guilty of 1st-degree murder...” @DenverChannel

Jakob Rodgers on Twitter
"Do you know how much of the defendant's story is corroborated by any of the evidence? Zero. None. In fact, everything the defendant said is contradicted by the evidence," prosecutor Beth Reed continues.
@csgazette #PatrickFrazee #KelseyBerreth

Rick Sallinger on Twitter
Prosecution quotes Patrick Frazee in closing arguments, "I wouldn't do it that way (bat attack) again, it was inhumane." Then Berreth's final words, "please stop".

Reed ended, pointing at #PatrickFrazee , “This is a premeditated, calculated, cold and cruel murder. The cover up of secrecy and defeat of the defendant comes to life in court. The evidence compels you to one verdict and one verdict only, that he his guilty.” @KKTV11News
10:06 AM - 18 Nov 2019

Sam Kraemer on Twitter
She says Frazee knew Berreth wouldn’t show up in the days leading up to his arrest. Reed stresses the cell phone records tell the story. Her presentation, about an hour long, was powerful. @KOAA #KelseyBerreth #PatrickFrazee #KrystalKenney

#PatrickFrazee faces the following charges: -two counts of first-degree murder under multiple theories -three counts of solicitation to commit murder -tampering with a deceased human body @csgazette #KelseyBerreth

Allison Sylte @AllisonSylte
We just heard closing statements from the prosecution in the #KelseyBerreth murder case. A quick thought: they didn’t mention Krystal Lee as much as the evidence that corroborates her story. The defense is up next.
