Interpol has issued a "red notice" for Samantha Lewthwaite, aka Natalie Webb, so they feel she's alive. I think they're using old charges to try and grab her but the timing makes me suspect she's really wanted for the Kenyan horror. Fingers crossed someone finds her.

Red notice is like FBI's Most Wanted.

From what I have read on this and on her (every article i could find) they are pretty certain that she was one of the ringleaders and planners of this massacre. Which is why i didn't totally believe the ones who said she was in there dead. Way to valuable an asset to waste on a suicide mission in essence.

I can understand her conversion to Islam. I can't understand her further conversion to terrorism.

Yes, as you say she must be fairly high-up in her... milieu. Hope her poor children are safe.

That is one of the things so sad about this horror. The amount of people who will now really equate islam with terrorism when it just does not equate. The Koran is actually a lot like the bible, they both have the virgin birth but Jesus is just one of the prophets, the Koran has many detailed laws for living a lot like orthodox judaism etc. Muslims are no more different than christians and buddhists and jews. It is the fanatics that have taken and twisted a perfectly good religion in the name of insanity.

Our friends' niece arrived back home in Michigan today. She is "100% certain" that she made the right decision to leave Nairobi and return to Kalamazoo College. Thoughts and prayers for the safety of those students who will remain in Nairobi to continue their studies abroad.

Oh my god
Soldiers told of the horrific torture meted out by terrorists in the Nairobi mall massacre yesterday with claims hostages were dismembered, had their eyes gouged out and were left hanging from hooks in the ceiling.

Men were said to have been castrated and had fingers removed with pliers before being blinded and hanged.

Children were found dead in the food court fridges with knives still embedded in their bodies, it was claimed.

The executioner: Caught on CCTV, the horrific moment Al Shabaab gunman took deadly aim at hostages in Nairobi mall massacre

That picture really shows what we are dealing with. That anyone could so cold bloodedly shoot people cowering in fear is sick sick sick sick. I am glad they showed the pictures though, it takes away any sort of mystery from these creeps they aren't special they are just creeps

Terror trivia: Al Qaeda's new tactic to spare Muslims in attacks

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/0...aeda-new-tactice-to-spare-muslims-in-attacks/

An interesting article, especially that Al Qaeda refused them until a year after bin Laden's death because they were to indiscriminate in shooting people who might be muslim.

I don't see any solution against these monsters other than wiping them out. It is impossible it seems to make them understand the damage they are doing to their own religion. And any muslims who speak out publicly are gunned down.

I think the US and other nations have to come to the conclusion that surgical strikes are not war and should be done internationally when necessarily by which ever nation is best able to get to them.

It is time to stop them cold.

For those who think that it is not our problem, it will be. and it is. There is a reason they chose the upmarket Kenyan shopping center, it is where most of the expats, american british canadian and others would be in one place. Certainly they are angry at Kenya's attempts to deal with somalian terrorism but they would have chosen a different country if there wasn't such a large expat population in Nairobi. And make no mistake they took glee in every American killed or British or Canadian.

Kenyan forces may not have the training the US does but they did an excellent job based on the lack of resources and training. Unfortunately mistakes wsere made, it looks like they did bring down the building but sadly these things happen when there is little outside military help in developing nations. They did the best they could in a horrendous situation and it is now time for all first world countries to put whatever military help they can into stopping these freaks.

I think we have heard fewer attacks on the entire religion this time because the hero who helped to save so many was also Muslim. Kind of ruins the bigots argument that it is the entire religion that is to blame.

People are people and there are fanatics in every religion. I happen to be Christian, but I long ago chose to follow Dr. Kings dream and judge people on the "content of their character."

Yes I have always been the same way. And good point about fewer attacks on the religion. That guy was great and so were a few others.

U.S. Says Navy SEAL Team Stages Raid on Somali Militants

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/06/w...s-Stage-Raid-on-Somali-Militants.html?hp&_r=0

Witnesses in the area described a firefight lasting over an hour, with helicopters called in for air support. A senior Somali government official who spoke on the condition of anonymity confirmed the raid, saying, “The attack was carried out by the American forces and the Somali government was pre-informed about the attack.”

The witness said 12 well-trained Shabab fighters scheduled for a mission abroad were staying there at the time of the assault.
