I hope the judge has seen the same articles we have and sees where EB denys being married to him. I would assume thats all it would take. I think the girl is crazy for even thinking about saying she wants to be married to him. I wonder if it is denied if they will end up legally getting married before he goes to court. I would guess this wouldnt be an issue if she wasnt standing by him...seems to be common sense something has to be going on or she would just deny it. IMO
Agree. "Something" is going on.
I wonder if it's just a question of her agreeing or if it would matter....legally? It makes you think twice before moving in with anyone as a roomy.

I was living with someone and they were getting ready to move, then they were in a terrible accident. The hospital sent me a letter wanting to know about my assets. I flipped. That was not in KS and many years ago, but it made me think twice about ever allowing someone to live-in.

HMMM same FB page Sept 5th post made me think EB and kids had moved in with JB AND SB. Wonder where they are?

I noticed her address at 1801 was listed on a search site, but is no longer there. I keep watching for a new addy. Nothing yet. It's been a month since she moved from that house...maybe she got a place of her own again. The kids needs some stability. Nothing more to comment on that at the moment.

In the beginning AL said he would get his own lawyer...maybe expecting his "wife" to help in that department? She may be needing her own.

I thought he had a lawyer of his own to begin with. I can go back for links if need be. The morning the neighbor gave him a ride to take the compny truck he was calling his attorney and if im not mistaken the video where he showed the cell phone screen he didnt tell LE about the friend who wanted money because his lawyer told him not to tell LE anything unless they specifically asked about it.

IF, he was telling the truth, maybe his retainer decided not to take the case or AL discovered he really couldn't afford him or anyone else.

I can not believe that EB will go ahead with this common law marriage situ. It just blows me away that there is no minimum requirement of time ! EB must be memorized by this creep (AL). Unbelievable, he most likely knew this all along as he always referred to EB as his Wife . OMG she needs to see someone to knock some sense into her head, what is she thinking !

Common Law Marriages FYI
A common law marriage is a marriage by agreement of the two persons without any formal ceremony or license. A common law marriage will be recognized in Kansas if the couple considers themselves to be married and publicly holds themselves out to be married and if they are legally eligible to marry. No minimum period of cohabitation is required.

Common Law marriages are subject to the same legal obligations and privileges that apply to marriages with licenses. Once a common law marriage is established, the couple must get a court ordered divorce to terminate the marriage.

If marital status (common law) is granted than EB will not have to testify against AL as it would be considered privileged communication ??? did I read this right? I hope not!

I would assume she must be or it wouldnt be an issue. She would have to be single to meet the riteria for common law.

You read it right. Ugh.

I did. Her name was listed on court docs, so Nunez was her name at one time. She must have taken her maiden name back after the divorce.

I agree. I'd like to know what hold he has on her. I can't believe it's "love". I think he's holding some type of knowledge over her head. jmo.
What does he have to offer her as far as a future? She can't remarry unless that marriage is desolved...great future and role model for the kids to live with and up too. Dunce <;(

I dont think she can have much self esteem. A person who is content with themselves isnt going to become a pen pal with a hardened criminal and move that person in with her and her children. I think she believes he loves her and he makes her feel like shes important to him. Which I guess at this point in his life she is important because she knows things about him he wants her to keep quiet about. He apparently knows how to get around the laws and turn them to his advantage. I just hope the AG has more on him than she can hide for him. JMHO

I hope he does too....and knowing how our perp isn't the brightest bulb in the room, I'm keeping the faith it's a done deal.

I feel so sorry for Eva's kids. Wonder where the Xhubby is? I'd rather be alone than to take a 9 time loser. Geezz

I realize that EB most likely is Divorced from JN however it is very frustrating in regards to records in Barton County, from what I have found out, he lives in GB KS.

OT: hollyblue, my mouth was watering with your description of having a meal of King Crab and butter, yum....and what a deal! I can't believe the price, it is about $15 - $20 bucks a lb where I live.

From what I gather JB and EB are the only two children of KB and JB. I went to the page of http://www.kscourts.org/kansas-courts/district-courts/default.asp and submitted the surname 'Brown', and a wrongful death case involving their Mother (K) in June 1998. They were named as minors in the Estate.

http://judicial.kscourts.org:7780/pls/coa/CLERKS_OFFICE.list_case

So....I know 'Brown' is a very common name but I have no clue where the sister Lisa comes into play. Unless.....the court only listed the children that were minors at the time.

I was thinking Wichita. I found a link to a J&E N, not THE couple, but a relatives....maybe his parents.

OT: They now have it on sale at $5.99.lb and boy am I tempted. It's usually $11/lb here. But, considering $6/lb for catfish and around 8 for salmon, I'm very tempted. We had our first cold spell here last night and it was 49 at 8 this morning. Brrrr. I am still in my shorts and flip flops as it has been in the high 70's all week. Thinking of getting it and freezing for crab bisque later on. I made broth from the shells and a bit of salmon I had left over from the half I bought on sale and divy-ed up. I had gotten my freezer down to just fruits and veggies and had to restock. Should be good for 2-3 mos now.
