Found Deceased KS - John Wilson, 64, Wichita, 16 December 2015

This is what we have been thinking might have happened, too. I PRAY this is what happened!

This is a very good thought, I hope so too yet it would be sad also as it would mean he's possibly forgotten he even had a home of his own or, if he does remember it, has forgotten how to get back to it. Not to mention his cute dog. :(

If LE is not conducting any searches, maybe the family should contact an independent S&R organization? Can't hurt can it?

Thank you! I am going to suggest that to them.

I did confirm tonight that there were absolutely no searches done by LE. None. They said there is no indication of foul play so there is not a lot they can do. I am very pro LE but I have nothing nice to say about how they handled this case.

Sheesh!! So what if no indication of foul play, the man has serious health issues that without his medication cause confusion and disorientation - which therefore put him at great risk of harm, being take advantage of, etc. Not to mention what other possible serious health effects he could be enduring without his medication. IMO he's should be considered a vulnerable person/person at risk....no different than someone with dementia who wanders away from home/a long term care facility.

I agree with ALL of what you stated. I am absolutely at a loss as to what the WPD is thinking here. There is water in a few areas where John went missing and they cannot be searched without a warrant and no warrant if no cause...

In a case where the family feels LE is not doing enough, can a lawyer be of help?

We hung out on Broadway for a few hours yesterday (in our vehicle) hoping we would spot John or the person who people are thinking is John and did not spot either. The only thing eventful was my son may have shaved a few years off of his life. We were getting fuel and he noticed an Audi in which I replied I learned to drive in an Audi. He said, no you didn't which I confirmed I did and it was a stick. My dear sweet baby boy then came back with, "Oh, was that the name of the broom company."

I mean there must be some kind of rules/guidelines what LE has to do once a MP report has been filed? Can they simply say, "uh naa, we won't search for that guy" ?? I find that really weird.

My thought was, a lawyer or S&R organization can probably give the family valuable advice on how to proceed from now on, if LE isn't doing much.

I sent the family the FB link to Texas Equusearch, it is the only organization I have any familiarity with due to Jodi Sanderholm's case.

I drove around again today and was able to exclude someone who looked like John, but no John. I hope something turns up soon!

Oof, that's worrisome that he could be on Broadway with how much crime takes place on that corridor. Which Walmart was the one that he was possibly spotted at?

The one on Broadway and Pawnee. He was also possibly spotted at a smoke shop/gas station north of there.

Just over a mile south of that Walmart, there's a bridge where Broadway crosses over the railroad tracks. Has anyone checked to see if someone is sleeping under it?

There's streetview in the driveway just to the east of the bridge, but it's so old that the view is blocked by buildings that are no longer there. I think the bridge has also been replaced since then, so I'm not sure how ideal it would be to camp under.

I will ask about that! I know in the beginning someone was checking under bridges, but I do not know which ones.

Any news perfectingpink? I googled but found nothing.

Nothing yet. I saw on FB there was another possible sighting today but nothing about what if anything has come of it.

No updates yet, I'm assuming?

Nothing new that I am aware of.

I see on the Facebook page that there was a possible sighting up at the Nifty Nut House, 537 N St. Francis. That's a good distance away. Any chance there's someone here really good with Google maps who could start putting together a map of the sightings, with times, dates, etc? That could be a big help.
