I DON'T know POSITIVELY, any more than you know for a fact they are unmarked police cars. And my experience in seeing unmarked police cars is they stick out like a sore thumb! And those cars in the driveway look like personal cars.

Ha ha! No need to bust out the caps glf... I'm just saying - detectives drive "unmarked" cars because the key word here is "detectives"... It is not automatically known that they are cops... Those pictures were not taken until after the authorities arrived on scene... I'm sure there were investigator and police cars everywhere that day that are not even in the pictures.. It sounds to me like you are very familiar with what happened there - like you are a neighbor or family... You seem to get quite upset that I'm not agreeing with you...

I don't either... I believe it was either a jealous rage or just someone that hated her for some reason and wanted her out of the picture...

Okay - no problem. Is that a Salina case ? Lori's case is the only one I'm following on here because I did not know if there were other local cases and not sure how to find out. I'm new to this forum.

Very detailed descriptions... From the make & models and the paint colors, details of what they looked like (each man) including eye color, glasses color, hair color... Even a description of the bumpers.. But, didn't get the location on the tag?? Why? And if the dad was in the field - how in the world would he have gotten such a detailed description?

If you look at the pics on page one, clearly two vehicles are seen, as well as what looks like a small older model motor home. And you could just drive by there and look. Unfortunately, I don't have that option.
The photo on page 1 of this thread is a cropped version of the below photo which includes KBI vehicles. The photo was taken after LE was on the scene. Therefore, my thoughts are that the white car is the Heimer family car and the beige car is an unmarked LE car.
Here is the link to the page 1 cropped photo:

The cropped photo shows the tail end of the KBI CRIME SCENE UNIT truck.

Here is the full photo which shows 2 cars and two KBI vehicles:

This must have been taken the following day, as there doesn't seem to be any SCSD cars on the scene. The pic on pg one looks like crime scene tape is visible, but not on this one, unless it is lying on the ground.

Crime scene tape is in exact same position on both photos.

Very true, so do you think it was the husband that may of given the info on the truck...@ 210

I don't think eye color was ever mentioned. I think they said the burgundy one had a white bumper, which would be a little out of the ordinary. I still think they must have been casing the neighborhood, and that's the reason somebody took notice. I don't think they could see the tags, since they usually sit back on PU's and since Kan does not have front plates, be really hard to see. I think the person would have had to go out to the road before they could get tag info. I haven't read that case a bout the girl, but I think you are right, it was on ID or 20/20, or a similar type show.

Wonder if Criminal Profiling was done. I honestly believe that does work. A Psychological sketch of an offender. There is a lot that a crime scene can tell a forensic psychologist about the person who committed the crime.

I would think that by now KBI feels like the PU descriptions have been posted enough people are aware what they basically look like. Putting out this kind of info, will help remind people in other places outside of Saline county the killers are still at large. I wonder if both of those PU's are mainly used for working around a farm as opposed to being everyday vehicles? Or, considering their age, were they throw-aways that were ready for the scrap yard? Before word was out with the descriptions, they could have been taken to another state and sold! If they left the same say Lori died, they could have been two states away. Or, were they stolen and abandoned out in the middle of nowhere? Also, and I don't want the car discussion to upset anybody, but if you zoom in on the second vehicle in the drive, you get a much better look at it. I still believe that is a personal car, and not a detective's car.

 • This is from Page 1 of this forum by Coralynne - "From what I hear, and please delete if not allowed, the husband was across the road harvesting, and these are two vehicles he noticed driving around the section that he didn't recognize. He had people helping him harvest, so was cleared, from what I understand....
 • This is the vehicle description "An older-style, small pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet S-10, two-tone - dark blue on top and bottom with light blue in the middle, the back bumper is silver, but the tailgate is blue (like the body of the truck) and is newer or appeared to have minimal damage when compared to the body of the truck, the remainder of the vehicle is described as “beat up” and “scratched up”. There may be two animal cages or crates in the back.
So, whoever gave this description - I believe it was said to be the husband - did see the back of those trucks... My question is if he saw all these other details - color of bumper, color of tailgate - why did he not get location that was on the tag??

 • #218
if they saw the back bumper and the tailgate, then they had to see the tag - wouldn't you think?

It appears to me that the crime scene tape is going from the house all the way over to the combine or whatever that is called by the shed where the semi sits that says "wide load" on it.. Is that correct?

@-217, in the field harvesting, he see all that info on those trucks. How could he of seen their age or hair, if they were wearing glasses. Now this makes me suspicious of the husband. I would like to know if that original poster is correct on her correct on her info. If he is in a field harvesting, no way coulld he see those two guys that good.
