No report from SCSD in Salina Post today.

No news in Salina Post concerning Lori. However, there was av29yr old man arrested and chgd with a slew of chgs, including battery and rape. He is from Salina. Javier Diaz-Guardado. With all of his serious chgs, he seems to fit the profile of somebody who is capable of murder. I hope SCSD checks him out thoroughly.

Nothing in Salina Post about Lori. :kickcan:

According to the FB group ran by Lori's daughters, they are meeting with investigators tomorrow (November 22) for the first time in two months. They will also be presenting a check to Crime Stoppers from all of the fundraising efforts and will given the total amount of the reward. My guess is that something should be released to the media at some point regarding all of this. Let's hope it generates some new tips.

Sadly, you probably won't see anything new from the media unless there is a break or development in the case. We could also get something IF investigators decide to put out any new info, which is highly unlikely.

Yeah, but I gotta check every day! If I didn't, something would break, and I would hate to miss it. Have any of the family members given a date on when Lori's story will be shown on Dateline?
Thanks for the update, Terry!

I haven't seen a date as of yet. One of the last posts I saw on the FB group, said NBC/Dateline was still helping, so hopefully something will air sometime soon.

Some food for thought...I see a lot of things on here about arrests in Saline County of possible people that could be involved. It has been almost five months since LH was murdered and that means that whoever did this could possibly be sitting in a cell in a county jail somewhere across the country. While it is very possible, that the perp in this case could still be in the area, it is also very possible that the perp could be anywhere on the planet at this point. Too much time has passed to be focused on one person or area. Keeping an open mind to any possibility is essential in this case.

I thought I would share a post from the Facebook group from Lori's daughter, Joni, from earlier this afternoon...

"Tomorrow is the day!! Tomorrow we present our check to Crime Stoppers and find out exactly what the final reward amount is going to be! It is a complete surprise to all of us! Everything is lining up perfectly. I don't have an ounce of doubt that God's hands are all over this! I have goosebumps from head to toe and tears in my eyes just thinking about it. I BELIEVE! I believe that God is with us every step of the way, and He is heading this journey. He is in complete control. I don't doubt for a moment that He will answer our every prayer! After all, He has thus far! What a good and gracious God we serve!

Crime Stoppers has been nothing short of absolutely amazing to work with. We also have a lot of support from the media for tomorrow's events. They are going to help us spread this news far and wide! Even NBC News/Dateline NBC is going to see what they can do to help us. Awesome. Just awesome! What we need now is the right person to see or hear of this and come forward with the valuable information that we SO desperately need! This is it, folks. This is what we have worked tirelessly for for months and months. I think it was God's plan all along for this news to come out just before Thanksgiving. It is a wonderful reminder of all the things we have to be thankful for.

Thank you to each and everyone of you who have played a role in this, whether it was by donation, helping with flyers, events, or sending up prayers. We never, ever could have done this without you. Not in the slightest. Thank you, thank you, thank you. What an amazing community we have. You all should be so proud! Blessings over and over to everyone, and much love from my family to yours! ❤️"

Thanks for that uplifting post, Terry. After five months here, and seven months on Rhoden case, for months I've been hoping the guilty parties haven't relocated to Alaska. Or the moon! It seems like they have vanished. Of course, we can hope they all went deep sea fishing and got eaten by sharks!

No leads in Lori's case, however, there is an article and pic of the family presenting the proceeds from the fundraisers, for $28,000.00! Way to go, Heimer family!

what is the deal about this mans case, why are you flooding his case on Loris page. I would think you could make a page about him and stick to the facts of Loris case, What he did does not pertain to her murder.

Thank you for the advice Blondie in Spokane! However, I jumped on my tablet and pulled the articles up on there. The bad thing is, I now can't pull the articles up on my phone. But I've been reading a good part of the afternoon and here is a loose timeline of what went on that crazy 4th of July weekend. I'm going to hitch it w/ Lori's murder
whether anyone in this tragic saga is involved or not. I really don't know.

June 25, 2016 (Saturday): Lori Heimer is murdered in her home sometime in the afternoon. Manner of death unknown.

July 1, 2016, Friday: Joseph Fisher returns a book to JJB at his house located at Osage and Republic Ave in Salina. After handing the book off, JJB followed JF and scared him as he was waving around a samurai sword. For whatever reason, JJB severs one of JF's fingers.

JF rides off and stops at MacDonalds where he informs police what happened. The police followed the blood trail to JJB'S.
Police seized more than 5 edged weapons and drug paraphernalia.
Later, Fisher's dna was found on the samurai sword.

Things are unclear here as the next incident occurs at the home of Joseph Mullins.

July 3, 2016 early am on Sunday: Sheldon Freeman a friend of Mullins, went to Mullins house on South Penn to borrow items for his motorcycle.
He is greeted at the door by JJB.
Mullins girlfriend later explained that JJB was staying with them for a few days. (probably laying low from the JF event).

The 3 go down to the basement and Mullins and Freeman get into a quasi argument. JJB has a large knife and stabs Freeman in the chest. While apparently trying to stop JJB, Mullins' hand was injured.

Mullins girlfriend drove her boyfriend and Freeman to the hospital. They were afraid Freeman had been mortally wounded.

Police arrived and they told them what happened. By this time, JJB was long gone.

July 4, Monday: JJB is located at a home in the 5600 block of S. Woodward in Salina. A police dog found in a field south of the home, a Berea Thunder .380 caliber pistol and a large machete. Dominic Aita of Salina and Adam Spaney of Gypsum, are arrested for helping JJB escape.

In tracking the milage, from Osage and Republic (JJB"s place) to Mullins home is 9 min. by car.

From Mullins home to 5600 blk of S. Woodward is 8 miles and 16 min. by car.

In calculating further and for no reason other than curiosity,

From JJB'S home to S. Hopkins Rd is 16 miles and 22 minutes via I- 35.

From S. Hopkins Rd to to S. Woodward is 16 miles and 28 minutes.

Did JJB own a vehicle? How did he get around?

Why are so many people willing to help him out?

Does he live with someone?

He had at least 6 edged weapons seized plus the one when he was arrested. Have all these weapons been checked by the KBI?

A samurai was used on Fisher, but which one was used on Freeman?

Too many unanswered questions.

Misssimple-

So glad to have you back!

How do you know he has nothing to do with this case? I really don't know either. I'm just drawing lines through the dots and fortunately or unfortunately, there are a lot of dots connected to JB. I am also trying to generate continuing interest in this case.

Why don't you list reasons why it's not him.

I know you suspect someone but you have no documented sources to confirm it.

If you' d like, why not private message me on where you're headed with this and why. What
do you know that I don't?

Have a nice Thanksgiving.

I'm not sure JJB is the killer, but there are too many coincidence s to ignore. Until I get proof positive he ISN'T involved he will remain at the top of my list!
