KS KS - Lori Heimer 57, murdered in her Saline County home, 25 Jun 2016

Sounds like this a smaller town/ area with too much crime. Daggone shame this case isn't moving along. I feel bad for family and loved ones in the holiday seasons. This case and so many others with no arrests, heartbreaking.

An arrest would be a welcome gift right here before Christmas! Or at least an update with encouraging news.

Yesterday's Salina Post had an article concerning a person wanted for murder in Florida was found by police in Wichita. Just reinforces the idea that Lori's killers could have fled. Nothing new in the Post on Lori.

Also reinforces that even though they fled, they eventually got caught. [emoji6]

Nothing concerning Lori in the Salina Post these past several days. I can't help but wonder if there has been any matches to the "tons of evidence" left at the scene. I would think if they've had any hits that alone would yield enough involvement to arrest somebody for probable cause.

Same 'ol same 'ol.

Nothing new about Lori's case, however, two people were arrested in Geary County, wanted for a triple murder in Mississippi. Was hoping it was tied to the triple murder in Hesston back in October. Everybody seems to run to Kansas to hide; wonder where Kansans run to hide??!

Was that the murder that was a drive by and the people were in the driveway?

This is the incident. 3 were shot in the driveway. The younger male had quite a rap sheet. He and the woman both had charges of child endangerment on their rap sheets. The police found an 18 month old boy inside the house unharmed.

Yes, that was the case I was hoping had the arrest. Cops thought they might be hiding out in Okla, possibly trying to get to Mexico.
No news about Lori.

A friend of mine reminded me of "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote.
Maybe this is a similar situation. A guy in jail/prison tells a guy about an easy mark who probably had a bunch of money stashed on a farm in Kansas.
So, when out of prison he/she gets with a buddy and off they go. But if they were the ones driving the trucks, I find it hard to believe they went anywhere far in them. Maybe they bought some cheap trucks and parked their "real cars" somewhere nearby.
So, I'd look at prison rosters and check those who were released around the time of the murder. Maybe someone who bunked with someone from the Salina area.

That actually crossed my mind earlier today! My ex told me one time that if anybody ever attracted me, he wouldn't worry about them being caught, because I would have half their skin under my nails. Hopefully, Lori did the same!

One would think if Lori did the same, they would have found DNA and entered it in the national database by now. Sadly, Christmas Day marked six months since Lori's murder. Was surely hoping for an arrest or at least something new by now. Prayers to her family.

I agree, Terry. Unless this attack was the first violent thing this killer has done. Either, or, has never been caught for anything, say for example, DWI, and has not given a sample. It was straight from the investigators they had "tons of physical evidence." Unless these killers weren't from the U.S., say, Canada. But surely somebody interested in Lori's puppies would not drive to the heartland looking for a puppy.
Lord knows, we need a break in this case!

Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any good news at all in Salina. :blah::blah::blah::blah: :raincloud:

Definitely been light on news lately.

Nothing but bad stuff in Salina Post. Makes me think of Hee Haw. If it weren't for bad news, we'd have no news at all...

I got a chuckle out of that, I remember the HeeHaw days. ☺

Hadn't poked my nose in here for a few days, had so hoped there would be something. Makes no sense. Did LE drop the ball or what.

I don't think LE dropped the ball at all, they just have nowhere to go perhaps. Maybe leads aren't panning out, who knows?
