Yes, farmers work in fields sometimes into the night depending on what needs to be done and if certain weather is coming. At 8 P.M. in summer in KS, it is still light out.
Leave it to a man! My husband calls me bony butt because his ex weighs at least 190 lbs!Ha Ha, Yes he meant that as a complement. I just love some of the terms the Kansas people come up with. I must say, I have never heard that one, too cute.
I too, am doubting the husband's story... How he could get the detailed descriptions of the two vehicles and their drivers from a field where he was working across the street? All the previous injuries to Lori's being accident prone? The murder being recalled by family, sheriff, neighbors, reporters - all as "a very brutal murder"... So, we can gather from that - this was no simple gun shot or her being hit on the head... In most cases where the spouse is killed, the husband or wife is always the first suspect. Lori's husband says he was with her around 11:00 for lunch... It happened in the bedroom.. Just sounds to me like a crime of passion... Maybe he overheard her on the phone with another man? Maybe there was a man there and ran out when husband came home? Maybe there was no one coming to look at those dogs that day - maybe in reality it was just a boyfriend coming over to see her?? I'm not trying to rude or ugly - I'm just stating that this is so many times the case when a husband or wife is killed.
This PU has out of state plates. I blew it up, but still cannot read it. I'm leaning toward Iowa, but not certain. What town does it say it is in?
Well, if that is truly the case, we'll know shortly as the DNA tests should be completed.Yes, I am also of the husband. That is normal to suspect the husband, couple of things he said made me suspect him. I do realize they were a very rounded family, so it makes some hard to see that. Couple things he said is what makes me suspect him
What is the "Post"? I always knew it as "The Salina Journal". Do they have two newspapers? And if so, how do they differ? Has Salina grown that much that they can support 2 newspapers?I check Salina Post every aftn for updates, or anything pertaining to this case. If there's anything new, I will post immediately!

What exactly was the Heimer farm specialty? Wheat, soybeans, cattle etc?
Does harvesting begin around July 4?
If Mr. Heimer was harvesting across the road from their home, it appears he would have had plenty of views of the trucks because of the turn in the road.

But....reasons why it isn't him:
1). Workers can and have vouched for his whereabouts that day (no link, however)
2). The neighbor talked to Lori that afternoon and said Lori had an appt that afternoon to show her pups and might be late to her Bbq
3). Where did the husband or other people come up with the distinctive descriptions of the vehicles
4) It used to be the midday meal was the big one (supper or dinner) Maybe Lori couldn't take food out to the fields as she was busy with dogs
5). People would have to suspect she was being battered
6). Cleaning kennels had to be tough work and might lend itself to breaking bones
(By the way, did she have help with the dogs?)

I think somebody should notify Lori's husband with the address of the location where its parked. They said they called the police but not reported stolen, also they did not tag it for pounding. They guy said it's been there for a while like over a month. I would think someone would want their truck and to not get impounded. He just posted because he wants whoever it is to come get it. This truck is in salina ks. The tag is a Texas tag he said
What is a the site the truck was posted on and why wouldn't the guy who posted it just call the cops anyway? Is the truck in Salina?

I wonder if he went through it looking for a registration?
