I do have my doubts that is the correct PU, but nevertheless, I think it should be checked out by Lori's husband. If any of y'all belong to FB, maybe you could leave the family a note.

I think he should call the KBI.

Nice article in the Post today. Girls were on the radio this morn spreading the word about upcoming fund raisers.

I read part of it, I didn't find it to be helpful. Maybe to spread the word, but not helpful when it comes to getting the sick person off the streets. Same ole same ole which means once again nothing after two months, all that tons of evidence, and they have nothing no suspect no new info, give a person a hopeless feeling.

I heard yesterday that the F.B.I. was in Salina / Assaria. The person that told me feels they were in town to investigate into Lori's murder. This woman also gave me some new details that she heard about how Lori died.. It's very hard to know what to believe.. So many rumors are spreading.. As I see the interviews with the family, it is hard to believe that the husband did it even though my first instinct wants to tell me he did.. He does look like a broken man... At the same time though, I think "who would actually make a fake appointment to meet a lady about some dogs for sale with the sole purpose of meeting her is to brutally kill her".. To me, a brutal killing such as this, the person would have to know the victim personally and have some true rage, resentment, and just downright hate for them... I just find it so hard to believe that there were no clues found.. I'm sure this person did not come with gloves on their hands and coverings on their shoes.. There had to be something in that house to lead to this person.. I'm praying now not only for the killer(s) to be caught but also for it not to be the husband or anyone else who is trying to convince Lori's family of their love and devotion..

They were able to collect forensic evidence, but obviously don't have a match in the data base. And I am sure all family members had to give a DNA sample...now it's sit back and wait.

The daughters seem absolutely delightful on the radio interview.
Still no clue as to ‘who’ reported the details of the “vehicles of interest” in this case.
A short segment about the two pickup trucks on the 8/18/16 radio interview:
The Family of Lori Heimer on KINA's Coffee Talk – 20 minute interview

Excerpt at 7:22 -
Radio host “So these were pickups that were in that area around that time period and the neighbors or somebody had seen at least come through?"
Daughter “Correct, correct”

Has anyone looked in the windows? I don't mean to be graphic, but can you see any stains or anything that might be out of the ordinary? You would think the police would tow it if owners aren't around.

Another thought... why wouldn't LE try to contact owners and see what's going on?

Guess they don't feel like it is a nuisance to people driving down that street, so for now, the owner is lucky. Most of the time, a vehicle is parked and nobody knows who or where the owner is, it will get towed.

Of course this happened nearly 40 years ago, but my first husband loaned his pickup to a friend, who promptly disappeared with it. When it was found abandoned in Wichita Falls, it was impounded and the impound location mailed us a letter. Four months after Mike loaned it out. The agreement was the guy would be back the next day!

Some friend, huh?

that truck does not match the description of either truck that they are pursuing in Lori's case...

I don't recall reading they had forensic evidence, I only read physical evidence , which would mean. Like a broken window is evidence a house was broke into, or they found documents to support maybe she was meeting someone. forensic evidence is dna, those are not the same Would you mind posting the link so I may read the info again. I don't believe any dna was found, if it was it was not reports thanks

The article I read said they found "tons of physical evidence". It did not say "forensic evidence".. Here is the link. glf - do you have a link that says they were able to collect "forensic evidence" ? Can you share please?

Thanks momof3angels, I thought I hadn't read about dna-forensic evidence. Just physical, which does not help to find a suspect, just evidence that a crime happened and yes they would have ton's of that

Yes, I just looked up physical evidence at Encyclopedia.com good, informative article.

P.S. physical and forensic evidence overlaps.
