Interestingly WPD animal control shelter is next door to the humane society - they pick up strays and accept drop offs, and transfer adoptable animals to the humane society.

No doubt, LE has silenced his teachers and any school employees such as aides, lunch room workers, maintenance, office staff.

Please don’t make those assumptions because school employees are often bound by confidentiality. It’s also not up to LE what information gets released, that’s a DA/judicial system issue. We may not like being kept in the dark, but the courts have a job to do as well. Finding Lucas and getting him justice shouldn’t be mutually exclusive-he deserves both. People locally that can help search need to come to the formal searches because those aren’t random, I don’t need to know why those search areas have been chosen in order to help LE find Lucas......the only places I know he isn’t is my house and Mars, every place else is fair game. The people at TES have a saying, if you want to know more, come help search when the volunteers are needed.

As time passes, more will be released, that’s just the nature of the beast. It’s important to remember EG has NOT been arrested for Lucas’ disappearance therefor the only information appropriate to be released has been. Protecting the investigation is important, be angry with EG, not the people tasked with finding Lucas and also getting him justice. The only other thing I will say is what the public considers information, the judicial system calls evidence.....we don’t want EG to know everything they have on her.

I could fill a book with the things I think should/could change with the system protecting our children having been behind the scenes.....we don’t get to advertise the kids we have kept from becoming another Lucas unfortunately. In a perfect world we shouldn’t need to protect children from their families, but we don’t live in a perfect world.

I just want to find Lucas. LE wants to find Lucas. Our court system wants to find Lucas. But above all else, I don’t want to see another Caylee Anthony situation where a guilty person gets away with murder.

This is the time of year that people walk and search for antler sheds (the male deer shed their antlers around here in Central Kansas heaviest in March and April). I don't do Facebook, but in searching for groups that hunt for them online I came across this:

I think they are located in Abilene, KS. I would guess that there are members of this FB group from Wichita and the surrounding area.

Could someone send this group a message and attach one of Lucas' fliers please?

In some cities the Animal Shelter is run by the Police Department. Ours used to be that way but it was recently separated.

Animal control is at the same location as the Humane Society.

Bless you all for keeping this sweet boy remembered! I've been following the case on Facebook and lurking here. His sweet pictures bring me to tears as well as details on the case. My thoughts are with his family who tried so hard to protect this baby. I cannot imagine the pain they are feeling, not knowing where Lucas is. I pray everyday that he will be found.

I wanted to mention that shed hunters will be out searching for sheds soon, if not already. I live in Kansas and we'll start searching for sheds this weekend.

There are a surpsing amount of Kansas Agriculture and Farming unions and the like on Twitter, with followers ranging from 100 to over 5000. I am going through searching these out and tweeting them with the flier and a plea to retweet to their followers. Hopefully I get at least a few bites and shares so that people will get out and search their properties as well as talk about the need for searching to their farming/agriculture friends and family. I know it's not much but I'm hoping it will spark some landowner searches.

Not that this would change the outcome of anything, but it was reported that e.g. said she was going to Olive Garden. We already assume she’s a liar, and the pings of the phone were said to be in the area of Olive Garden. What if she toldLucas she was going to run a quick errand and went over to the area of Olive Garden to purchase drugs and never even went to eat. There were two calls made from the phone possibly checking to see where the person she was meeting was at. Just thinking out loud
She didn’t want Lucas to confirm that they never went to Olive Garden maybe that’s why she left him at home. Not that this scenarios any better,Just thinking

This couple doesn't happen to be a black man & white woman, by any chance? Would they visit a property together?

I was looking back at the original cat conversation that makes me want to ask that. A poster back then asked if perhaps the LL coming by on the 11th led to the picture story. It is plausible a landlord visit forced the owner surrender on the 12th. And maybe even some of the details of the picture people. Does the LL smoke?

Could she have somehow managed to get her cat back on the 13th? Or is that completely out of the question? Was the cat already gone when Lucas told FLA (or did PB relay that story?) that he might be getting a fish instead?

I'm just thinking of various extra chaotic scenarios if the cat is back/still there when LL visits on the 16th.

I'm not even sure EG knew immediately, or ever at all, that the landlord stopped by around 5:30 on the 16th.

What we don't know is if she or anyone else redeemed the gift card. Those calls, I'm not sure how close to the named intersection they are saying she'd have to have been. They don't say the phone pinged here, the calls were made, but that could be up for discussion. We don't have security footage or a waitress who served her or any real concrete info that her story is true that she went to OG for food/to eat there.

That’s what I thought. No confirmation of actually going into Olive Garden- checking cell towers now- not that it matters, I’m sure LE has verified the person she communicated with, but I’m thinking it had nothing to do with food.

All illegal activity is not created equal, imo. I've known people who are ok with pot, but fiercely opposed to other drugs.

I know I've thought a theoretical hookup could even work at OG.
