Excellent insight, Amonet. Carefully studying the words of Emily, JH and JO in context along with behavioral indicators, I offer an unqualified guess. Opinion: Narcissist.

What sort of person wouldn't back down and say, "okay, you caught me in a lie"? One who has a dysfunctional pattern of thoughts. Their rationalization is that even if they're caught; they are subconsciously telling themselves: It's not a lie. And it's not my fault. They assign responsibility to another for having to tell the lie in the first place; It's a circular game of blame-shifting, often a signal of possible psychiatric personality disorders.

My opinion and only mine.

We don't, which is why Tricia is going to look into it before we discuss it further here. I'm skeptical of the , based largely on how well written it is overall and my perception of JH's lack of being that articulate, but it may have been written for Jonathan and it may be legitimate. I'm trying not to let my own initial impression of him and his ability to communicate effectively cloud my judgment as to whether this is his and is for a good purpose.

I'm hoping that FindLucasAllen or Paddleboarder may be able to confirm for us if Jonathan set up the and/or if Jonathan is hiring a PI.

We're in a bit of a holding pattern to discuss everything until we receive more information.

The verbiage and flow of the whole post raised my eyebrow wondering if it was really him!

I really hope this is true, that he has hired a PI. But I think part of the reason he would hire a PI is to also prove EG didn't do this.

I would hope that a decent man would want to know the truth about what had happened to his child..

He just might just find out during this investigation that the one person he did not want to believe was capable of doing this to Lucas was responsible and made to look at the hard truth about EG.

Now someone has taken the bait...the description bolded in my earlier post is of Malignant Narcissist from the Wikipedia page on NPD.

And the final few words on that description "potentially suicidal or homicidal"

It does also mention similarities to psychopathic and that it can be hard to tell the difference.

I only got there because I looked at the pregnancy psychosis thing earlier and it said that it can occur for people who have conditions like NPD, but the psychosis seems very disorganized and people seem unlikely to plan or hide a body or even lie about what they've done...really tragic cases included in that category.

It's just scary how, from what little we know, Malignant Narcissist or psychopath don't seem too far out of the realm of possibility? And I think someone with some of those traits might well plan something like this in their mind and carry out the plan...

I've seen NPD in her from the get-go. But I'm also not a mental health professional so take my opinion for what it is.

I agree with most of this. A true narcissist is a breed of their own. They literally cannot see themselves as having done anything wrong. The ones I've had to deal with will lie and use others and manipulate till the cows come home long before they would admit any wrong doing. They are conniving as heck too!
So many people can't see them for what they are, especially at first with their fake charm. Sometimes people can never believe the rotten person they're dealing with as it's just too unbelievable to them that another can be like that. But they can. And they seek out people that don't see thru them and they suck the life out of them. (Sound like I know somebody?) This is what I think JH might be experiencing. He just doesn't know it yet.

I'm thinking that the things that have happened the past few months, the run-in with JO, the thing with her boys' dad, the pregnancy...maybe it's just made her think "we could be a happy family if it wasn't for all these other factors" and maybe she decided to take action to remove two of those factors from her (and JH's) life, and that would be Lucas and JO, and maybe she could think that if Lucas isn't around any more there's no one to accuse her of abusing him and causing trouble for *her*?

This is classic NPD.

I have no doubt he wants to know what happened to his child. But it also looks like he is believing it was not EG's doing and he want to find out who it is which will in turn alleviate EG in his mind.

I just wanted to comment this in regards to the . I think it is a good think if JH is the one really doing this. However, after the other fiasco, I really wish that JH would find an advocate, someone like Paddleboarder, who could get this going. I don't know if I would trust donating any money if I knew that he (or anyone else not directly involved in this) was the one in charge of the money. Also, he isn't saying what will happen to the money if they can't raise the amount needed. Like, is it going to get donated to something else that can assist in finding Lucas? And last, if the money is raised and everything falls into place, will JH accept the outcome?

All this is IMO.

It's just my opinion that after more than a few years with E.G. he had to have known.
Denial? Sure.
