FWIW, I in no way think there was ever a plan to use the to bond Emily out. Shortly after Lucas went missing, a lot of people began messaging JH, JO and other family members. When a child is missing and parents are desperate to find their child, they will often turn to anyone who may be able to help. I don’t fault them for that - it’s human nature. Sadly, in cases of missing children that become high profile, the “grief groupies” come out of the woodwork. They don’t necessarily have bad intentions, but when they are thrust into a position of moderating a group and responding to comments, they simply have no experience in diplomacy. Things spiral out of control, harsh comments are made, screenshots are taken and all hell breaks loose. The next thing you know there are a dozen groups that each have a different agenda. The focus is no longer on finding the child, it’s on one-upping the other groups.

The parents of the missing child are forced to choose a side in these groups and these groupies feed them info and screenshots from other groups.

I advise all families to avoid messaging and texting with people who they didn’t know prior to the child going missing. In most instances they ignore my advice. This is one of those cases. In regards to drama and contention, this case is in the top 3 worst that I’ve been directly involved with.

After Lucas went missing, JH clearly made some mistakes trusting people who gave bad advice, created unnecessary drama and took the focus off of finding Lucas.

If any of these people are actually interested in helping, they should put down their phones, pick up a pair of gloves and assist with the physical search for Lucas.

A little less talk and a little more action, perhaps???

Just an observation, based on the defensive tone I'm picking up on from statements JH has made to the media, but I get the feeling JH and his friends spend more time worrying about what others think of him/them than they do about focusing on their supposed goal of raising money to find Lucas. I'm sure it is hard to be criticized by others, especially if you did not disappear your own child, but these people are strangers on the internet. Why waste time worrying about what random people think or say? It's not a good look for him to be so defensive. Any and all ideas and help from anyone should be welcomed. Instead of getting defensive if someone doesn't agree with his approach or is questioning things, why not be courteous and sincerely ask the person questioning how you can help alleviate their skepticism?

JH and friends are not asking for $100 or even $1,000. They are currently asking for $28,000. That is A LOT of money. I don't understand why JH seems shocked that people just want some transparency and for the to be properly set up, per 's own guidelines.

Yeah I kinda feel like he feels that everyone owes him something.

It makes it very hard to people to connect when it is like that.

Where would I look to see if storm drains have been searched. They often have flood access. Access which can be readily opened and useable by anyone who has the strength to operate handles.

Local homeless live live underground in large cities. I am part of a group who delivers food and water by the truckload to those here.

I agree. Most of us have no idea how we would behave or respond if our child was missing. Sadly, I imagine we might become more desperate as the time went from days to weeks and months.

It must be a living hell to think the worst and not be certain if your child may may be alive, or in fact may be dead. Worse imagining what may be happening to him at that very moment. All the while trying to go about working and bringing home a paycheck. Dealing with the rumors, LE AND trying to just survive and waiting for answers.

Im almost certain at some point JH has asked chimself all the questions asked here. Especially if EG hurt or killed his child. Denial, a human defense mechanism may be the only way JH can get through the day.

I am am not defending anyone here, especially if the abuse accusationsare true. We may never know because so many people failed LUCAS when it should have been investigated. I’m blaming the state agency and others who failed to refer the family members to the people who could have helped. A minute of extra effort may have started an investigation into abuse and LUCAS might have been safe.

THERE Is NEVER JUSTIFICATION FOR LEAVING A CHILD VULNERABLE TO ANY KIND OF ABUSE, emotional or physical. Any abuse at all is attached to behavior from a child that can last a lifetime. This I do understand all to clearly as a result of growing up in a family environment where emotional, sexual and physical abuse was the norm.

This is partcularly difficult because there are two little boys involved and one baby girl who don’t deserve to have their world shaken to its foundations. And another baby on the way.

In addition to what has already happened to LUCAS there are FOUR other children who will have to cope with what has happened for the rest of their lives. All as a result of bad decisions by adults who these kids trusted for love and care. When they are older they may in fact read every word written about this terribly sad difficult time. I hope the Judicial System can keep them safe from any further danger.

I know that if one of my children or grandchildren was missing I would leave no stone unturned to find them. Would I make mistakes, probably. But I am the type who would hopefully seek guidance from a person like PADDLEBOARDER who seems to have experience with these painful situations. And PADDLEBOARDER has to be doing a job that’s painful and stressful at the same time. I appreciate her/his insights and hope this is resolved by finding the truth about exactly what happened to LUCAS ASAP.

My most sincere thanks, admiration and appreciation to every family VI or family rep. making every effort in LUCAS disappearance.

Thank you. I thought of it when we were driving food and water down to the homeless who live under the strip. Those tunnels are everywhere under a community and things happen there that are hard to believe. Very easy access especially if Wichita has flood issues and there are many places a body can get hung up.

Some large cities have entire cimmunities with hundreds hundreds of people living underground.

Its close and state or city employees usually only go into the tunnels for maintenance or annual inspections. I’m sorry to even suggest it.

After a quick read, before Klein came in, the very small LE team may have missed some very key opportunities. First they had several questionable last sightings of the child. There were minor differences/ inconsistencies between what two LE officials said to press. I think they were just overwhelmed by the entire situation and lacked resources and training to handle the first few hours. LE was kind of neutral when it came to Klein. But I believe they all did their best with what they had.

I not only remember Klein in the DeOrr case, I too remember all the early obfuscation by the parents, the lies, the miscommunication, the lack of cooperation, etc.
The local probably confusing the dogs by dumping cremains in the reservoir.
I am still so sad he has never been found and do not want this outcome for Lucas. :gaah:

Taking this back to the investigation. Did the police ever use cadaver dogs at the house or in eg’s car? I can’t remember. I know they had search dogs, if I remember correctly but I’m wondering if cadaver dogs were actually taken to the house/car to check things out?

I believe the hearing on the 16th is a continuance if the reduction of bond.

I also believe in the event anyone attempts to post bond, the da would bring forth the second child endangerment charge, effectively rearresting her and putting her right back where she is now.

It might be possible to support a third third charge for using while knowing she was pregnant. At least I hope so.

Her attorney must realize this and its my guess its its the reason her family hasn’t put up the $5k by now. There’s an effort to keep her right where she is to keep her from fleeing, and to keep her baby safe. It may not be an official effort but it’s the only way anyone can keep her from using drugs. She obviously used the night she went to OG knowing she was pregnant and didn’t care.

It it would be an added tragedy to have this baby be born with health problems. I hope the judge can continue it again. I believe it’s oart of an effort to buy time in hopes that LUCAS is found. All my opinion

Here with my coffee- I still feel like right side of my body is numb from falling asleep next to little mans bed last night as I was TRYING to stay caught up with lucas’s Thread. Hurts me to know that I can lay next to my kids at night and no one is laying next to Lucas. Breaks me apart.

I believe Klein was also involved in the Ember Graham case. I think that might be the source of the negative comments, but I'm not sure.
