Warning: heartbreaking thought ahead:

I also feel as if it may have been (partially - I do believe he was ill/injured) his way of crying out for help. It sounds like the nurse must have shown him compassion. Maybe he was subconsciously pulled toward her as a "safe person".

Possibly, but I would think he would have rather been at school than alone with EG.

Oh definitely. I was thinking more along the lines of him wanting the nurse in hopes that she might rescue him.

I understand and it’s certainly a possibility, but I’m thinking that after the first or second time that it resulted in EG coming to get him early....he would have thought maybe it’s not the best idea? I could be totally wrong though.

I do think EG forged Dr.'s notes for the school/nurse. I can't imagine any Dr. simply writing a note that Lucas's injuries were consistent with a fall and he be throwing up too. What on earth story would EG be telling the Dr. about needing a note that wouldn't make the Dr. suspicious? Plus I think she would be afraid to take him to the Dr. in case he thought it looked like child abuse or Lucas saying something. Forging the Dr.'s notes is the easiest explanation imo. Hey! Is that a felony?

IIRC, one was a note from the Dr. stating injuries were consistent with a fall? Or is that another note?
I would not be surprised if these were forgeries...and I would hope LE has followed up on them too!

there were two notes listed in the timeline, jan 25 and feb 9. the note on jan 25 is worded weirdly (maybe intentionally vague) - it was in response to his stomache on jan 23. however on jan 22 the school nurse also expressed concern about his bruises. i had too wondered if the note was forged. or if he did see a doctor, she took him to different doctors on purpose to have a better chance at manipulating the doctors diagnosis (a lot harder for a doctor to diagnosis one instance of bruising with no patient history). even though they were there for the stomachache, she may have asked the doctor/nurse to comment on his bruises/an overall physical as a way to tell the nurse to back off.

the first note was a nurse practitioner, the second a doctor and regarding his "flu".

I agree with you 100%. She wouldn’t even take him to Olive Garden....I can’t imagine her taking him to a doctor twice within such a short time frame.

Unless she took him to 2 different doctors.

Doubt it is a felony, but I could be wrong. Let me look, brb

I just thought of something. She was digging in flower bed. Was she really getting all the rocks she could out of flower beds?

I have wondered about the flowerbed as well but you'd think that LE would have checked that out the first day considering the statements made about seeing her out there. Like they'd know too just by looking at it if something was disturbed or looked odd.

Good question. If it is proven that she forged a doctor's note and used it at the school to justify something then I would bet LE could think of some charges along these lines.

Wasnt there some previous discussions about EG wanting to become a "nurse" because one of her relatives may have been one or working in the field? She may have forced someone she knew to help her.

I really hope LE has pursued those notes because this could be an avenue for additional charges if she did forge those.

It looks like simple forgery would be the charge for a forged Dr.’s note which is a misdemeanor. However, since he may very well have died from his injuries I imagine there is a way for them to charge her with something more serious.

Wether she used a fake Dr.’s name or a real one could also have an impact.

I often wonder if the whole “valentines day” story came out after Lucas had disappeared. Maybe when LE was trying to figure out where she was the week prior to Lucas’s missing. So, out of curiosity, why would she need a Valentine’s Day story? several threads back I mentioned that I thought Lucas’s story might begin on Valentines Day. The recent article mentioned that Lucas may have been abused by Emily during times she was mad at Jonathan. It was Valentine’s Day, was she mad at Jonathan? Why the lie at Lucas being with his mom? Was she entering bio-mom into the picture maybe to thwart eyes in JO direction? She was only going to be caught in this lie. Even if she were doing something behind Jonathan’s back, why lie about JO?? This was not very well thought out on her end, so, I’m guessing it wasn’t planned out-That was a careless lie, and could easily be verified. She slipped.
I’m starting to think the only persons opinion she cares about is JH. She will blatantly lie about Lucas seeing his mother on V-day- yet, he is still by her side. He obviously has been so mind @#$%^ by her he believes what she says over LE or anyone else. Surely he is starting to see through the facade.
Let’s hope. MOO

Jumping off this post, our Late Great Foxfire once said in a post that "There's a Reason for the Seasons" (it was in a different context though, as he was talking about predators and their deliberate ways, iirc (I have also brought up his quote for contemplation in Abby's and Libby's thread (https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/seeking-info/liberty-german / https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/seeking-info/abigail-williams ), as there too we have pondered and discussed potential significances of Valentine's Day.

Point is, she probably lied bc she was up to something, moo, that might or might not be, but likely could be imo VD related (pun intended).

(Eta/ OT: Do we currently have an open link for the girls other than media thread? Tia. I'm assuming it's still on shut down...(which, for newbies, is what happens when people can't get along or follow rules, moo... Soo glad that is soooo not the case here!!)

If I remember correctly, she was doing that more than a few days prior to his disappearance. I thought it was related at first too, but I don’t now.

I don’t believe she planned any of this happening. IMO she hit him too hard, then a week or more later she found him dead, most likely in his bed. Then she freaked out and went into cover-up mode[emoji22]

You might also peruse KS state laws about keeping kids out of school. I'm fairly certain there are some. I doubt they're enforced but if a Dr note was required for re-admittance and she forged it, there might be potential for another minor charge.

I'm wondering if forging from a Dr. was common in her world. Years ago I worked as a pharmaceutical technician. We had some pretty good forgeries come thru. Sometimes it was a group working the pharmacies, one member at a time. I don't know if we always caught them but when we did we had the people arrested.Used to scare the living daylights outa me when I told them the police were on their way and had to detain them. :panic:

I meant getting rocks to weight a body down but I was avoiding saying it.

Has this already been posted?

Classmates honor Lucas Hernandez as search for boy continues

It's been more than two months since five-year-old Lucas Hernandez was reported missing. There have been no signs of Lucas since Feb. 17, but a community searching for answers isn't giving up hope.

This week, rocks pained by Lucas' classmates at Beech Elementary School are being hidden around Wichita. The rocks of different bright colors have Lucas' name, the year and the name of the school written on them.

The goal, Beech Elementary says, is to keep Lucas' name out there.

Meanwhile, volunteers Thursday returned to search for the boy in parks in east Wichita. For the Texas-Equusearch-trained group led by Misty Cox, Thursday marked the 59th day members were out searching for Lucas.

The group searched an area of interest on foot Thursday in east Wichita with the help of cadaver dogs.

While the dogs searched, some of the volunteers' children handed out the rocks painted by Lucas' classmates at Beech Elementary School.

"We're laying them out in different areas, The park here and other areas we have searched so that people will walk upon those rocks and Lucas will not be out of the eye and Lucas will be front and center," Cox says.

She says the group remains committed to finding Lucas.

"We've made Lucas a promise we will find him and we will bring him justice," Cox says.

Painted rocks would be handy if they were at the house...just a thought...again, I wonder if all the rocks are there, if there ever were any for sure. The whole painted rock thing has caught my interest since the beginning when she posted about them on pinterest (I do realize not everyone does everything they pin).

Eta: possible question for JH.. Did she/ they paint rocks? Do they all appear to be there?

Eta: wow, pink, just posted about painted rocks at the same time (in different contexts)...that was wierd...

Does anyone know if his school required doctor's notes following an illness?

I've raised 5 kids (ok, one still in process/progress haha) and I don't remember ever writing or needing a doctor's note to "prove" that they were ill. It was only required I call in and let them know. There was a policy that if the flu was going around they not come back until a certain period had passed (I don't remember but it was something like they couldn't come back til 24 or 48 hours after symptoms abated and/or they couldn't have a fever.

I'm guessing maybe it was required at Lucas's school, or times have changed? Because I don't see Emily going out of her way to send doctor's notes, forged or otherwise. If she did, IMO it was to look good for her as far as parenting goes and wanting her kids back, but more significantly that it was to try to convince Lucas' illnesses or injuries were legit BUT NOT caused by her. That is the part that is weird to me. Did one of them really say it was "consistent with having a fall"? Because that is very suspicious to me.

My youngest daughter is a teen and while doctor's notes are not required, I've recently been having them printed out from her therapist's office because she's having a rough time and therapy has been frequent. On the forms they type out they print nothing about why she was seen, only that she had a certain appointment with a certain doctor at a specific time. Maybe it's different when there are mental issues instead of physical ones though. Idk.

I'd be surprised if these doctor's notes were legitimate, that's for sure.

Lucas, I'm still praying for you and your family! Lots of love~~

question: to be official, does a doctor's have to be on some type of certified stationary (doctor/nurse/pharmacy info) or can it be on any piece of paper?

This is what I heard:
um, yes, um, in the past, you know, there's been times, he's, you know, being a boy, um, and playing with both, older brothers and his cousins, um, he (inaudible) he gets bruises, and he has had some falls, um, while we are either cooking dinner or at the park, um (long pause, looking down), um. I'm sorry, ....

Would have been helpful if the camera was facing downwards, so we could also read her lips.

Woah, just noticed the long pause and apology after the word "park"...can't help but wonder again about the 5 parks and the intial searches there...

Jonathan is unaware of any diagnosis related to EG’s mental health, but confirmed that she does have endometriosis and her symptoms are very severe.

Thank you, Paddleboarder! She can't use the endometriosis as an excuse, thankfully.
