And then there's the multiple park searches. I can understand a tip coming in about a specific park, but a tip about a park in general where they don't feel the need to look into the water in the areas as well? I can't imagine what type of tip that would be.

I agree. It's specific and vague at the same time.

What are we missing?

I’m going back to finding dirt under someone’s nails. Possibly someone who later used gardening as an excuse?

MOO.

When people go to parks they often see lots of kids. It's possible it is just someone calling in saying they thought they saw a boy that looked like the person in the picture. Though it is real cold today the weekend was pretty nice so the parks were probably fairly active over the weekend.

I wonder if when they moved if she withdrew him from the old school and never re-registered him? If he did actually miss 10 days before he disappeared it may be why it slipped by. I know sometimes they don't check as close as they should when a student moves.

Gosh but at this point if someone doesn't talk this is going to wind up like Deorr Kunz or Robert Bee

10 days out with Head Start/PreK a month is grounds for dropping. Sadly children you need in your classrooms....slip away, move,..etc.

At every single park?

:pullhair:

I hope tomorrow brings answers.

Brainstorming about Park Searches: (unrelated to the possibility of tips about "a park" or phone pings)

What is something that could be identified rather quickly (no need to send out to a lab and wait for results etc) that would/could be present at those parks but not likely to be in say, ones own backyard? But something that is also easy to spot immediately....like on a persons shoe or clothing, carpet or car mats? Something that could be observed during questioning or a quick walk through of the house?

Pine needles? A specific type of leaf?

I'm out of ideas already. Just trying to think of other possibilities that we perhaps hadn't discussed.

I like the way you’re thinking. Sand or wood chips? Dyed wood chips have become popular. Does anybody know if any of the parks being searched have dyed wood chips or something like that?

Have we heard if the parents/gfriend are being cooperative in the investigation?

Hi guys! I was gone most of the day and I'm out of breath trying to catch up! I quickly read through the last dozen pages and didn't stop to "thank" a lot of posts so I want to say a big thanks to members for their insight, info and links! Most of all I'm crestfallen to see that Lucas is still missing.

Still catching up but it's looking more and more like Lucas did not walk out of his house. As someone pointed out yesterday he wasn't wearing shoes so it seems like dogs would have picked up his scent if he had left the house on his own accord.

The timeline is still blurry - hopefully LE has a much tighter timeline than we are reading about in msm. Let's hope LE has a much clearer idea of what happened than they're sharing! I know in some cases LE gives out info much more freely than in others.

Also IMO the public isn't asked to search because LE now believes this is a recovery effort. Recall that WPD never even asked people to look in their backyards, sheds, etc. like we often see in other cases. This could mean that they had a good idea of events early on - but then again every PD works differently so without more info we don't know where the investigation is at this point.

My heart goes out to all of Lucas' family members who are waiting for news and to anyone who is involved and not talking... well, just know that LE will get to the bottom of his disappearance so now's a good time to come clean.

Sorry for being so long-winded; I'm sitting on my hands right along with the rest of you. :(

Aren't women more likely to put a child in water than men?

  • #452
*Maybe* when they interviewed the someone, they said that they'd been told that the kids had been to the park that day, but that story didn't match up with what LE was told?
Maybe the tip was that 'someone' said they had been in the park to "any other person besides LE" and that person told LE that Lucas had supposedly been playing in the park that day, then went home and took a nap, etc.
GAH. Does that make sense? Trying to stay within TOS.
I'm with ya....agreed 100%. Without knowing the totality of the info its difficult to follow the dots.

Shucks, it is KAKE-TV’s facebook post from one hour ago. There’s just over 100 comments on it (as of this post).

I really don't know, Flute. I am just now coming into this thread and saw the article.

Has LE said they do not believe Lucas was abducted or hinted at it? I havent had the time to watch the PCs they have held. tia

IMO

Yes, LE has said they have seen no signs of an abduction. I have read this several times in their comments/news press. I have no idea how to backtrack to find it.

Now that I'm able to sit down at the computer I can finally chime in more. My sister was here most of the day with my almost 3 month old nephew so I was helping her out a lot and then my mom and I watched him while they took the oldest who is 5 to the circus that was at the school here.

Anyways I just read the article someone posted that had the interview with the Great Aunt and I just can't. It's so sad to even read and think this baby was being abused and nothing was done. I saw earlier chatter about DCF/CPS and I can say as well that they didn't do jack :censored:about a situation here right in my town. A family who lives in the Trailer park that was once my Grandfathers (he passed away in November 2016 and my my mom and her sisters sold it a few years ago) was investigated bc the mom of a boy who is in my nephews class reported them due to an incident that happened with her son that made her suspect of it. Without getting into detail and specifics the mom suspected that there was sexual abuse going on over there between the sibling children in the family. The oldest boy is in 7th grade and the younger two who are a boy that is in 4th grade and a girl who is in third. I'll let you guys mind put two and two together without saying the rest. CPS did nothing and I fear its still going on because of nothing being done. They even had an investigator looking into it all.

It just just sickens me that CPS doesn't do their job in cases like this and many we see here on Websleuths. I hope boy some miracle he is found safe. I could not imagine if my 5 year old nephew went missing. I think this case is really getting to me a bit because he's my nephews age. :(

I've witnessed an adult kicking a child. He was playing on the floor and not moving fast enough to suit her, so she kicked him in the side hard enough to knock him over. And she wasn't even related to the kid! She said she was just "prodding" him.

Wow, can’t even thank you for this post.

Everyone, again, be careful. You cannot name anyone who comments on MSM article from the comment section, the shoes are also out. You can post the MSM webpage and say something like "read the comments under AB etc etc but you can't bring it here. I don't want this thread to get closed so Mods can clean it up. Be berry berry careful! lol
