Are the Facebook accounts from local reporters linkable? I came across pics of Lucas on an account of a woman from KWCH reporting on Lucas’ disappearance.

FB and Twitter links from MSM reporters are allowed, yes

I am a mandatory reporter and have had to report one case. The family and child both found out who reported them. I’m not sure if it was a crack in DCF or if I was the only person the child told.

Either way, they found out it was me. Put me in a very tough spot that damaged my trust with our system.

Just remember you did the right thing and that 1 call or report could save a child’s life. Be the voice to make a difference!

Yes, we can link to Twitter and Facebook reports from reporters.

Hi Ocean - LE has been very specific that they have eliminated abduction. They indicated that its the main reason there is no amber alert.

Oh, boy . . . where is this little guy?

Maybe it’s because I didn’t grow up in the States, but my dad used to kick me and my brother - especially if he was drunk.

When I was 11-ish and my brother 7-ish, he was trying to kick my brother one night but missed and hit a dresser, ending up with a broken big toe. No more kicking after that.

I really, really hate to think about what little Lucas might have been enduring :(.

I’m sorry to hear of the abuse you and your brother suffered. The broken toe was karma!

Me too.....but just saw that Australian Cruise ship fights, and yeah, there was adult kicking!

The unruly passengers in that news story were kicking other adults on the cruise.

I responded on the other post of no abduction. I would like add that K9s had no hits for the child in or outside the new house that supposedly he had lived for a week.

Which seems odd considering it was specifically stated that both his shoes & coat were left behind? One would think if his belongings were present, he would have left a scent? Maybe I’m confused....

I was speaking specifically to the post by D’anthropologist where she brought up the possibility of Lucas getting bullied or kicked/hit at preschool.

I was not talking about abuse by teachers in any way. That’s a whole different matter.

Actually...I'm a he. :-)

Thank you so much for this info! I apologize. I didn't know that was rule with closed groups. I'll be sure to check out the rules again for new things i may not know.

Heck I'm still learning and I've been here since 200! LOL
We do get very passionate about the cases here and sometimes forget what is and isn't allowed. We have wonderful mods that will gently remind us. I only say this because I have seen on other forums one oops and time out. Not saying time outs aren't given as they are sometimes needed on a thread.
Ha! I got booted from here my first day. Booted, no time out. I made it back under this screen name. The app I was using somehow spammed a member. I am thinking it was the default setting.
Anywho, where is Lucas!!! Someone knows. I can't imagine what that household is like right now. Poor baby sister.

Police still in the area of the pond that has been mentioned. I did not see LE out walking around the perimeter of the pond though.

Driving by Harrison Park next.

How awful! It's painful to read that....and painful to think about someone doing that to little Lucas, if that is indeed true.

:(

? Wouldn't there have to be an auto involved also or do I need to go back and read and refresh my memory?!
Yes, Amber alerts usually require some sort of vehicle description. State laws vary, though, and I have seen exceptions made in unusual circumstances.

Idk....I think kicking may be more common than we think. More than once, I have experienced being knocked down and kicked while lying on the ground and I'm sure others have, too. When adults are in a rage, emotion takes over and kicking something is no different than hitting or punching, even biting. Not saying that's the case here, jmo.
Also, IIRC, CARD was called out for Mariah Woods and they knew immediately that she was not abducted. They are just super specialized and invaluable in all child missings, not just abductions. Again, I don't know what pertains to this case. Just throwing it out there.
It would be interesting to hear if they borrowed anyone's truck for moving. Have they come out with any kind of appeal such as check your cameras, did you see this car between the hours of...kinda thing? Did I miss it?
Unless they had a truck?

I'm wondering, where did the story that the dogs didn't hit inside the house come from? I remembers the news saying the dogs not hitting outside but I can't recall if it was ever said there was no hit INSIDE the house.

As for outside, I recall the recent case of Blaze Bernstein. The dogs were within yards of his body and they never picked up his scent.

Aww! Hey, I AM still here (or around) I’m just super busy now and can’t be as active as I used to be on the boards. If a map is needed and nobody else is able to do one, send me a PM. I check my email frequently so I’ll see it :)

Skibs! I’ve always pictured you with a setup that rivaled NASA’s Mission Control. Teach us your ways!

If they are main stream media, I believe so as with reporters on Twitter. I would assume they have an affiliated account separate from their personal account.
I could be wrong, though.

I recall the same as you - that the dog didn't hit on him exiting the house.

To me, that seems somewhat reasonable if they have an attached garage (which looks like the norm in that neighborhood). He could've exited the house in the short time he lived their through the garage and directly into a car.

It's my understanding they didn't find a scent of him leaving the house, implying he didn't leave by the open back door. At least not on foot.

Correct me if I'm wrong!

Unless the rules are different in different states I don't see how any families who have been reported to DCF would know who the reporting parties are in order to keep the children away from them. I know that here in NJ DCF keeps the names of reporting persons strictly confidential, only a judge can order DCF to reveal the name of a reporting person.

In Virginia you can request and CPS will provide the name of the reporter something like 3 months after the report is made or 3 months after the case is closed. I’m sure they’re all different.

I've witnessed an adult kicking a child. He was playing on the floor and not moving fast enough to suit her, so she kicked him in the side hard enough to knock him over. And she wasn't even related to the kid! She said she was just "prodding" him.
