Changes are coming! Probably the worst child abuse related death I’ve ever come across......and I’ve looked at roughly 1,000 cases or more since I started my research.

“We can’t stop everything from happening,” Ruiz said. “But at least we could put laws in the books that people know that they can be held culpable if they witness this type of abuse.”

A law making failing to report child abuse a felony has been proposed in Kansas!

I agree. At first I thought JH was in denial. I went through something so horrible years ago and when presented with evidence by LE my mind went straight to the river. The alternative of acceptance/belief was just too painful. It took years to come to terms with it. I am going with Occam's Razor here. It makes sense that the family members that reported abuse were cut off IF JH was also abusing Lucas which I think he was. It would be pointless for Lucas to seek help from him. So here's what we have, a father who's not pleading for his only son's return, not searching for him, making public statements that he supports EG and would welcome her home, all of this after seeing obvious abuse and turning the other way. What does this tell you? It tells me he was fully aware of the abuse, maybe participated in it, and will never turn on EG because he knows what happened and was a willing participant before he went missing. EG could have been telling JH that Lucas was deteriorating I mean we can all see it from pics taken so even if she didn't tell him he saw it and knew or should have known his son desperately needed medical attention. So rather than getting him to a doctor to save his life they allow him to die. I'm stuck in the middle of thinking he died from one last beating vs. illness from prior beatings combined with over the counter medicine to make him sleep. I also believe he passed in the house. I wonder if Lucas bedding is missing or if it was freshly washed after he went 'missing'.IMO this would explain her making the pull up a big point in her story. IF his bedding was freshly washed after he supposedly took a nap and disappeared how would she explain that? Just speculating and sorry I'm all over the place. I've felt several times like I need to step away from this case but can't. I love this little boy like everyone else and want justice. He deserves this abd so much more.
Wonderful post and many of us have those thoughts running through our minds at night.

There are many reasons to suspect she was doing meth, imo. I could write a book on why I suspect this in my opinion, actually I think I already have since day 1, even beeeefore it was even mentioned she had a history of this, yes it's moo and speculation as much and most is here in these threads. I may have missed the stated as fact posts on this, I sure never stated it as fact...Imo discussing this as a possibility does not retract from efforts to find Lucas (if anything it lends itself to her possible whereabouts, associates, etc.), nor does it come from "left field"...personally it's insulting as many have put in hours and hours and hours and hours to help find him and now it's "not helping" if a possible meth connection is discussed? Trying to be nice here. Unless we know of a definitive rule out, it's all on the table as far as I'm concerned...just because she did it in the past...just because a sex offender did it in the past...history is history, compiled with actions and indicators, etc...If I called out every speculative theory with good intentions that I didn't agree with and said "it's NOT helping"...not the style here .jmo. We are all trying to help here. Sorry if I'm abrasive and misinterpreting your post.

Eta: Does this mean I don't believe in drug rehabilitation? Absolutely not. I know plenty of addicts who have gone sober and improved their lives.

I never meant any disrespect. Believe that. I admire each and every one of you here. I guess I am just frustrated. The theories out in the wild are running with what they see here and now we have a TON of people out there (not necessarily here) who think he was sold for drugs. They are not looking for him because they think he's alive somewhere. I know nothing about meth, heroin and that type of life. I don't know people who are involved in drugs so I don't know the signs. I just know deep in my soul that what happened was not drug related. At least not primarily. I think it's all very simple. A selfish, narcissistic woman decided that Lucas was in her way and she took care of that, intentionally or not, the result was the same. And she's not sorry.

I 100% agree with you that whether or not she was doing drugs is probably not directly related to the fact that she killed him... imo, drugs or no drugs, she would have killed him anyway. However, I do think it's important to working out where Lucas is. Mainly because I believe she had help and I wonder if the person who helped her dispose of him knew EG because of drugs. So, working out the situation may help us work out who helped her (if anyone) and as a result, may help us work out where she or that person put Lucas.

Also, as Magz just said up thread, I wonder if drugs had any relation to Lucas' dramatic weight loss etc.

Awwwwwwwwww...Ana gonna ball on the spot....

Did Lucas like dogs....my heart just breaks again and again...

I wish he could meet our doggies...I've got a few up there in heaven I know who would love to play with him and protect him.

To my doggies up there, you know who you are...

Lucas also has some special WS uncles up there, Uncle Foxfire and Uncle Los.

The best Uncles a child could EVER have.
Now I'm crying, too.

Paddleboarder, do you have any words of guidance to help us help you? Are you able to provide insight as to how this discussion can become beneficial for Lucas' sake and his sake only?

Just out of curiosity, what would your suggestions be? I'm asking because I'm not sure if I have seen the threads roam too far away from Lucas. Almost everything seems relevant in one way or another. Almost.

Having grown up here, I have to remind myself that not everyone knows things like this. So it's good when those questions are asked.
(These are the type of posts I especially like.)

A key ingredient is the most obvious. EG. I remain focused on her stomping grounds (old & new). It's reasonable to me to believe that in such a frenzy to hide Lucas especially in the dark, she would naturally escape to a familiar place. She would want to find a place she was sure was less than traveled. I'm thinking a dump site around the water. They often spring up around the rivers and lakes. All of ours lead to the old red dirt roads. Such party venues are local hangouts for off the grid drug and alcohol users. There are often old bed springs, mattresses, appliances, etc. I don't know much about her days before JH but her ex would. He could be a gold mine. My instinct goes towards the strong ties of Blood. It does run deep. Of course, I know that is no-go territory.

Somewhat O/T, but it's the best part of the year if you ask me. There would certainly be opportunity for areas to be in line of sight that aren't usually, although right now a wheat field in & of itself would not be a successful hiding place.
Hi Scarlett, I just wanted to add to this that while I was researching upcoming events in the Wichita area, I came across some discussion about the winter wheat harvest that typically begins in June. I was encouraged to read that the harvest is a busy time even in small communities. Restaurants, camping areas, motels, and roadways are unusually busy. Hoping, of course, like we all are that Lucas is found before the harvest.

The searchers have been searching where there are credible leads. Please stop pushing this issue of what the psychic “saw.” It’s distracting. I believe it’s against TOS to mention psychics or mediums. I’ve seen your group post and it’s not appropriate to try to backdoor the psychic into this thread.

(I’m self-imposing a time out to prevent my heart from typing what my mind won’t let it.)

I can assure you, we have been trained by the best and since the most open places are easily searched and cleared, us trained searchers go in all areas no matter where, what the weather is, roads or no roads, mud, snow, rain, ice, etc. Dense trees don’t get ignored-ask Pink, she’s covered in ticks as we speak [emoji23]

Oh goodness, I wasn't suggesting that Lucas may be in a wheat field (although possible). I see now that my post was misleading and I apologize. What I was trying to say is that there will be many more people out and about in campgrounds, motels, etc. In the event that Lucas isn't found before June, we need to make sure that these people are aware Lucas is missing and ask them to keep their eyes peeled.

I live in Pennsylvania. But I have been thinking not a park to busy. Somewhere where there is a lot of trees a forest. Especially if she had help..

Please read post 893 and follow the steps. Now, apply that logic to every possible thing in Wichita. Land, water, structures, grass, trees, Etc. If you can see one of something, anything, on a map of Wichita, multiply that one thing by 100, or 1000. Then accept that it's in our line of sight. Then also please recall back on page one of every thread that search locations are forbidden to be discussed here and remember to PM someone (me is fine) with your search suggestions, as per TOS for this case.

I completely agree. I honestly cannot understand why he hasn’t been arrested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

LE doesn't appear to have cause or reasonable gain from doing so (at this time). As long as the story they've pieced holds, JH remains a freeman; the moment his part is beyond reasonable doubt this too, shall end.
It behooves him strongly to get his ish together, & face the music.

I realize that everyone is grasping for straws at this point, but I’m not sure LE or the searchers are at the point of searching based on a psychic’s vision just yet.

I’d recommend that you or the psychic contact WPD or the search teams directly.

Thank GOD! If I've files and whole journals from this case & still catching up (sifting the unknowns)- why would anyone else have LESS to go on? It is VAST.

Lets NEVER go with psychics- I've often been labeled as one simply by using my brain when things stand out- it's not supernatural to listen closely & follow intuition where odd ends left out, lead.
These people are fine for those who struggle with situations or need direction in their own personal life, not a criminal case :notgood:

Thank you. Please search past tree line in dense trees...

Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Most of the trees here, in Ks, other than those planted specifically to create a wooded area (such as a park or nature area) are JUST a ‘tree line’. Many have been planted around houses and farms to provide a sort of ‘wind break’ as it were. But it’s a row or two of trees at most. Along riverbanks and creeks as well, just a line of trees. There’s just not much ‘woodland’ in KS

I just wanted to mention something that I learned when I was researching cases of murdered children when Lucas first went missing.

I know we are all frustrated and want Lucas to be found. It’s easy for those of us who are unable to be there searching to unintentionally take out some of those frustrations on those who are searching, either by assuming they aren’t doing something right or enough. Just because we don’t see them posting about it, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. They truly are looking for a needle in a haystack and I guarantee their level of frustration is far higher than ours. Searching is hard work! Physically, financially, emotionally, and mentally. And it’s hard work that doesn’t always provide the desired result.

I don’t have a link because this is from something I saved a pdf of, but I included a ss of the first page so you can find it if you would like. Most murdered children who are missing are found by:

Passerby 58.4%
Police 23.1%
Search Party 6.5%

So, let’s all take a deep breath and make sure we show nothing but respect, appreciation, and support for all of the people donating their time, energy, and hearts to search for Lucas ❤️
