I'm not caught up yet but realized from some of the posts earlier today that some perspective on terrain might be helpful for those who live elsewhere. I took a brief walk around our place to get some pictures to share. This is a very typical farmstead in the area - literally thousands of them within a 30-mile radius of Wichita (conservative estimate). There are many places he could be just on our place alone. Do the math and it's easy to see how it's possible that he's not been found - and that's just the private property areas. If he's in a place like this it could be years before he's found - if at all. I hope this is helpful!

Pics 1-3: Creek bed

Pics 4-5 Assorted farm junk/burn pile (there are also many places with a ravine used as a personal dumpsite).

Many of them do, but not all.
Sorry if this has been covered...do the homes there have basements? Tia.

Definitely! !! There will be harvest crews coming through, lot of opportunity for fresh eyes!!
Oh goodness, I wasn't suggesting that Lucas may be in a wheat field (although possible). I see now that my post was misleading and I apologize. What I was trying to say is that there will be many more people out and about in campgrounds, motels, etc. In the event that Lucas isn't found before June, we need to make sure that these people are aware Lucas is missing and ask them to keep their eyes peeled.

I wonder how many I located remains become located after a tornado hits? Does witchita have a lot of tornados specifically?

How large is the population in the immediate area you are in.

Contrast this to Wichita.

It would be a grievous miscalculation for me to apply the same factors of the areas in which I (happened to survive) to the places in which other abused kids did not survive.

It's more helpful and insightful to consider what intervention and laws are in effect (or even followed) between these separate districts.

It's very clear in my eyes that EG sought to obscure her actions to the counties in which she lived, moving is a TYPICAL maneuver of abusers to 'keep the upper hand' avoiding consequences of their actions.

One must never forget that just because you didn't read it in the morning paper/hear on the radio/tv/media of a death that it didn't happen.

Abuse thrives in the shadows.

Most tornadoes seem to miss us to the south or north. But we do see a fair bit of severe weather- tornadoes, straight line winds, severe thunderstorms, especially between April and October

I've not heard of a case of remains being uncovered by a tornado, although that's not to say it couldn't happen. Tornadoes aren't uncommon here but the chance of one hitting in the exact same spot as the remains would likely be in the millions.

Thank you! Well hopefully a wind storm will uncover little Lucas if he is in a shallow grave! Definitely continue to search after big rains or wind!

Thank you!

I think Wichita is just small enough that cases like this get a lot of publicity - more than just a blip on the evening news. It's also in a very wholesome area of the country, where folks will go out of their way to help strangers in need. The wonderful people helping with Lucas' case have set the bar for missing children's cases everywhere.

In the May 20 tornado here where my roof was blown off (2-story): The cemetery is just down the street from me. I'm spiritually attracted to cemeteries (another story) so while the rest of my family helped the school and families in our residential area - I volunteered for cemetery restoration. The tornado was so fierce, the grass was pulled up like it got sucked up from a vacuum cleaner. I compare it to like ridges on a reef going for hundreds of yards. The ground was severely disturbed but not enough to pull up enough earth to uncover anything.

I never meant any disrespect. Believe that. I admire each and every one of you here. I guess I am just frustrated. The theories out in the wild are running with what they see here and now we have a TON of people out there (not necessarily here) who think he was sold for drugs. They are not looking for him because they think he's alive somewhere. I know nothing about meth, heroin and that type of life. I don't know people who are involved in drugs so I don't know the signs. I just know deep in my soul that what happened was not drug related. At least not primarily. I think it's all very simple. A selfish, narcissistic woman decided that Lucas was in her way and she took care of that, intentionally or not, the result was the same. And she's not sorry.

BBM

If others believe LH is alive 'somewhere out there', exactly why are they not working to locate him?

Maybe I'm an anomaly... but when I see a mother posting or releasing a video on her missing kid, opening up about detectives claiming they've 'found a body, won't you come ID' it kicks my azz into high gear to FIND THAT CHILD ALIVE.
Time to search articles, connected circles, routes of travel, and hunt down places of ill repute.

Pedo rings are literally open houses, right under our noses in plain sight.

These are people who are used to being seen as pedestals of the community, or if not on the 'good' side of the law, powerful/connected enough not to be messed with. They are not some shady secret cult nobody knows about, they are OUT making names for themselves.

I do hope anyone who is involved with these groups or people who've firmly entrenched themselves into the rumour mill, will push a LITTLE harder on the where and how to start finding a living child if that is truly a movement impeding locals (and nonlocals) from understanding of the severity of this case.

:please:

Wichita is the largest city in Kansas. I’m sure it doesn’t compare to larger cities but it’s at almost 400,000 people I think. Also the Child protective services is under a lot of scrutiny right now due to the few high profile cases. Like Evans. So I think anytime a case comes up it’s highly televised and reported on. People are hyper aware because of the popular cases like Evan and Lucas. It’s not a bad thing per say but I don’t think Wichita has an epidemic with child abuse thankfully.

“Most homicides of young children are committed by family members through beatings or suffocation. Although vic- tims include approximately equal num- bers of boys and girls, offenders in- clude a disproportionate number of women. Homicides of young children may be seriously undercounted.”

Thanks Ima.Grandma! I found this part of your link to be particularly interesting and applicable to this case specifically!

Thank you for saying this better than I could.

You are so welcome. My son-in-law is an EMT and a Lieutenant for the Fire Department. My daughter has often called me crying due listening to his words and emotions coming out when he gets off shift. I've heard about the most horrible things that he saw when arriving first on scene with child deaths, mostly tragic accidents but we have a high rate of child abuse here too. MSM is the same everywhere. The public just isn't informed enough about DHS issues. Just like education. Off my soapbox now.

I was an EMT and can relate well to you SIL. I’ve had many traumatic child deaths I have been to the scene of and it NEVER gets easier. You feel so helpless in such situations and we cannot unsee what was seen [emoji20]

I just wanted to mention something that I learned when I was researching cases of murdered children when Lucas first went missing.

I know we are all frustrated and want Lucas to be found. It’s easy for those of us who are unable to be there searching to unintentionally take out some of those frustrations on those who are searching, either by assuming they aren’t doing something right or enough. Just because we don’t see them posting about it, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. They truly are looking for a needle in a haystack and I guarantee their level of frustration is far higher than ours. Searching is hard work! Physically, financially, emotionally, and mentally. And it’s hard work that doesn’t always provide the desired result.

I don’t have a link because this is from something I saved a pdf of, but I included a ss of the first page so you can find it if you would like. Most murdered children who are missing are found by:

Passerby 58.4%
Police 23.1%
Search Party 6.5%

So, let’s all take a deep breath and make sure we show nothing but respect, appreciation, and support for all of the people donating their time, energy, and hearts to search for Lucas ❤️
