Casey Anthony’s attorney was pro bono wasn’t he?

No, she traded the rights to her story in lieu of payment. Interestingly enough, Tim from TES was allowed to sue her to recoup costs he spent on the search for Caylee.

So. Ahem. Just pure speculation here, but say EG left the jail and went directly to the airport and left the state to avoid another CE arrest. How would that affect her CINC case? Could WPD have her put under surveillance by another jurisdiction? Of course I know she could be extradited back if a felony like murder was brought against her....but what if she decides to leave the state to have her baby to avoid losing her to the state? I ask all of this because her and JH seem to have a lot of family/relatives and possibly friends in other states and if I was her, that might be what I would do.

ALL SPECULATION AND QUESTIONS REGARDING MY SPECULATION

She would have to return to Kansas to visit her children, including the older two. If she goes too long without contact it can be considered abandonment. But you can’t hide in another state to avoid an arrest warrant. And JH still has charges of his own he’s facing still. The wheels of justice may move slow, but they are always moving....

She’s pregnant with her 4th baby, the hip/pelvic ligaments can cause a lot of pain and stretch more quickly with successive pregnancies. Symphysis pubic dysfunction also a relatively common issue.

RE weight gain in jail, in addition to the pregnancy and lack of street drugs they may have put her on antidepressants or some such and those cause weight gain in a lot of people.

True Story on this answer! My pregnancy caused my hips to pop in and out of socket (I made too much of the hormone that opens up the pelvis) so I walked funny from practically day one because I was trying to avoid a hip popping out lol. So this could be a similar situation for her.

When people like EG aren’t held accountable for their actions how are we ever going to protect innocent children?

Exactly! We're too busy letting them go, even after they confess to their misdeeds. I do wish for the unborn baby's sake, that she was either in jail or a rehab until the baby is born. At least protect the little one....

I mean, she COULD hide in another state if the warrant was non-extriditable, such as a misdemeanor - and it seems like EG cares more about covering her own behind than being a mother to her children, which is why I wondered. She has "lost" her first three for the time at least, what if she decides to cut her losses, move elsewhere and have the baby somewhere where she's not being investigated? So many possibilities.

Oh! I did not know that! What's the procedure? Do they take it had birth?

Yes, that’s standard procedure. She’s not allowed to see her oldest children, MH is in state custody, LH is still missing and JH has been charged with an assault against one of her children.....if the situation doesn’t change, they won’t be allowed to bring another child home. I would be stunned if they didn’t also test her and the baby for drug exposure as well. And they do a very thorough testing process for that.

I was incorrect. EG has been named a POI.

“She is a person of interest in his disappearance, Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett said Wednesday, speaking outside of his office at the downtown courthouse where Glass' trial was held just moments after jurors voted to acquit her of one count of child endangerment.”

Okay, now I am mad.

I don't know who the dude was that was rubbing her arm and trying to hug her before she got into the car, but she clearly shrugged him off.

Yeah, I'm mad, too, seeing that. I've been mad since this afternoon, but took some time to calm down.

I certainly do hope there are eyes on her 24/7. Why do you think there wouldn’t be?

Unless otherwise stated, everything above is MOO[emoji230][emoji5]

I'm praying that a loving family member is keeping track of JO. As a mother myself, I can understand where anger and grief can lead one to do things your normally wouldn't, when it comes to your child.

Well by all means, it’s official now. Sleuth away my WS brothers and WS sisters. It’s calming and reassuring to me when we try to stay the course of discussion based on facts. Thanks to all and liltexan’s guidance.

So what now? When are KE and JH's trials?

I'm praying that a loving family member is keeping track of JO. As a mother myself, I can understand where anger and grief can lead one to do things your normally wouldn't, when it comes to your child.

In her interview, JO said she didn't feel homicidal and that she would even find a way to bail out EG if it meant finding Lucas.

Of course, things can change--and given the way EG seemed to enjoy egging JO on ("..." email replies), I can certainly understand how that could happen.

I used to look forward to LE slapping cuffs on EG as soon as bail or acquittal appeared and turning her butt around and right back into her cell.

Now, though (while I am also hoping for quick resolution), I want them to come later. When she's comfortable in the time and distance of this acquittal, I want LE to show up, drag her tail downtown, and put her through all the unpleasantries of booking again. In a civilized society with rights afforded to the accused, I find myself wishing for things like this. I hope she's tired, in need of a shower, and hungry too. Sometimes it's the little things.

So what now? When are KE and JH's trials?

JH is set for May 23rd and is a trial before a judge, not a jury.
I'm not sure about KE's but for some reason I think it's on the same day.

If she is truly bipolar maybe they were medicating for such. I think some of those meds can put weight on a person.

I’m not sure in ALL cases but I’ve had plenty of bipolar patients on my ambulance who were off meds due to pregnancy.

This article states that Emily is not only a POI in Lucas case but also a witness? What does that mean? Does that insinuate that someone else hurt him?

Lucas' stepmom is a person of interest and a witness in his disappearance, DA says

Emily Glass received a "not guilty" verdict from jurors in a case alleging she endangered her 1-year-old daughter by driving to a Wichita restaurant for dinner while she was high on marijuana. But she remains part of the focus of a mystery that's plagued the city for the past three months:

Where is her 5-year-old stepson, Lucas Hernandez?

She is a person of interest in his disappearance, Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett said Wednesday, speaking outside of his office at the downtown courthouse where Glass' trial was held just moments after jurors voted to acquit her of one count of child endangerment.

They deliberated for less than an hour before delivering the verdict.

Glass also is a witness, Bennett said Wednesday, to whatever happened to the Beech Elementary pre-kindergartner after he was last seen in February.

Regarding Glass' acquittal today my poor brain is split down the middle. On the one hand I can somewhat understand the logic; there was evidence from her confession and the witness statement but there was no physical evidence like a blood test, she was not stopped for a DUI and she arrived home safely with the baby. From that I can see how the jury would be challenged to find her guilty of endangering her daughter.

Plus, these days with so many states legalizing marijuana more peole are taking a "soft" stance on someone using it. To be clear I'm not saying it's right to drive after smoking, let alone after smoking three bowls but it's possible the jurors looked at it the same way they might have if Glass had said she had a couple of beers or a glass of wine. I don't know, just thinking out loud.

However, on the other hand it was surprising that Glass' attorney made such a point about there being no evidence of her smoking marijuana - no grass or pipes found in the house, no blood test. I took it as her saying it was only Glass' word that she had gotten high, which if you think about it, in an odd kind of way she was calling Glass a liar. How else could her statements be taken?

Anyway, there are other possible charges awaiting Glass, like the original charge that included endangering Lucas and we might see more on custody issues with her bio boys. I do think the DA has to tread carefully though so it doesn't look like the office is harassing her. I'm not 100% clear on double jeopardy but if there's a chance that could come into play I'd rather see Glass walk if that avoids issues down the road.

These are all my own thoughts and speculation. What I wish for most right now if for Glass to officially be named a suspect/POI. IMO she's feeling confident that she's gonna escape the consequences of her hair-trigger outbursts.

It'll be interesting to see if she's able to rein in that temper now that the spotlight is on her... MOO.

ETA: I just saw Paddleboarder's post saying she has been named a POI.

Okay, so now I want her named as a suspect!

What a profound statement. [emoji172]
It's disappointing that Emily is out to live her life (for now) while Lucas no longer has his, but we need to remember that this case was not about him. She may have been found not guilty in this case, but I have faith that Lucas will eventually receive justice [emoji172]
