There's very few towers out that way, this is an intentionally desired feature of the area Lucas was left at.

We've been looking for knowns and overlooking unknowns. There is a reason criminals gravitate to places 'lacking'.

Not been proven yet. May very will be. But JO clearly stated JH never violent that she observed. EG PRObABLy KNEW EXACTLY WHAT BUTTONS TO PUSH. and in the end it’s his action his responsibility. But let legal process run.

I just had a thought and it could be way off base but is MOO, do you think that EG and JH were fighting that way because he saw her hurt Lucas???

The adults in that household saw each other mistreat children and did nothing to stop it.

EG knew JH used force on her son (which only she was allowed to abuse) yet didn't relay this to the child's father (he had to question the child for truth); likewise JH accepted excuses and covered EG's bases all the time.

These are signs of deep conspiracy & codependency. As we've read from earlier articles, documented incidents resulting in LE intervention revolved around other issues. Money and sex (bartabs, rape).

A coupling barely plastered together by intense jealousy and manipulation- no love lost at the end of the day as they provided ego massaging to one another's sad lives.

Above BBM. Why do you think it took Marshburn for JH to have this massive wake up call? His own family had been pointing out the same things to him for over a year. I'm sure he was 100% defensive with his family - and obviously put up a brick wall and wouldn't even entertain their concerns as truth.....

If his wake up call has truly sunk in.....I'm very glad, but why did it take hearing it from Marshburn? Maybe he was able to get through to him without Emily interference?

Maybe because it came from an independent source too. If he felt that his family and JO's family always hated EG then he could just tell himself it was BS by them to try and get at EG. Maybe when Marshburn got to talk to him, and maybe he used his "drinking buddy" persona to reach out to JH, then JH was finally able to see that EG had been manipulating him. Just my opinon

I think they may have had arguments about her not watching him close enough (him always being hurt an her always having a reason like monkey bars, truck, couch etc), especially when relatives were complaining of abuse to JH.

I truly don't think JH thought EG's form of discipline was causing his injuries because she explained it away. AFAIK, Lucas was JH's first child, so he might have been easy to convince that its normal for boys to get bruises so easily/often. Or maybe EG just convinced him that Lucas bruised easily but liked playing rough anyway - or it could be a combo of things.

He's just been SO adamant against anyone saying that she abused Lucas that I think he really was just gullible/desperate enough to believe whatever crap she fed him......could be wrong, though.

If she does that, then LE needs to step back and let whatever happens happen. Though my brain says I hope someone films it. Blah. I have no good feelings towards her. I can't even wonder what went wrong in her life to make her this way. I just feel anger and disgust. I cannot imagine what those that actually know her feel. And Lucas... cute little innocent Lucas. His feelings were correct. She didn't like him. She didn't love him. She hated him apparently.

Sometimes it takes a fresh set of eyes to allow us to take it in and process it.

I think the meth plays a huge role. JO has also stated that she never knew JH to use meth, but it's looking more and more like he was doing just that. I made a post on the previous thread about how meth affects and changes people.....violence is very normal in a household with users and two together can be explosive....and it is normal and common for that to happen. I think EG was able to channel her anger at JH when he was around, which is why she never lashed out at the kids when he was there. So, all he ever saw it as was "normal" relationship fighting and her being good/ok with the kids. Once he left, her anger/anxiety probably increased and then Lucas became the target.

All JMO but it makes sense from a meth mind standpoint.

I'm starting to think they knew the locations for her driving path from her Google Maps app on her phone, not from pings. Pings show use by towers and give a general area a person was when that ping occured. Google maps will track your exact path and driving time, including stops, but only if your phone is on and with you. We know she willingly gave LE her phone. The way David Marshburn explained things on the first podcast with NG, it seemed like they had her exact path, including driving and stopping times (I believe he said it was 58 minutes round trip and she stopped for two). I'm wondering if she turned her phone off or left it at home Friday night/early Saturday while dumping Lucas during dark hours, and the mapped area of her stopping for 2 minutes was her checking in the daylight to make sure he wouldn't be seen from the road. All my specualtion and guessing based on how I know Google maps works vs. how I understand pings work.

I got the impression when Lucas first went missing, that JH felt like people had been maliciously accusing EG in the past. The "it isn't helpful" comment made me wonder. They probably acted as if it was them against the world. Like, they believed that the abuse allegations were done just to try and split them up. Too led by his privates, and manipulated by EG, to see what was really going on. Not that this excuses him mind you
