Wait wait I got it! Thanks to Josie, kadoober(is that right lol) and everyone else. Of course I'm not caught up so prob sounds like I'm stealing someone else's thoughts BUT speculation was phone pings at a park for the most part. However, we speculated on why else they would be searching there and I wondered if maybe one of the older boys had said something about Lucas going to the park and not coming home. They don't seem to think he was killed in the home apparently, they've searched parks, by her own words he falls down (not just while cooking dinner but where?) at the park... Why say that? It would eliminate the need for both a helper and for her to drive... So Either NOT at the searched parks, they weren't searched well enough or very NEARBY those parks.
Ugh wait no that wouldn't work. It would totally not fit with the story she's given and I think that's important. It's why I've been thinking all along that he'll be found close to home... So she can say see I TOLD you he walked out.
I don't "got it"
Carry on and disregard my ramblings

Hmmm....this is an interesting train of thought..."one way trip to the park"...

If her story is true, it was early morning when she saw the strangers.
She met the neighbor after this.
Did she question him about the strangers???
MOO

She is so stupid. *All* of her neighbors would have been strangers - she just moved in!

This. I keep coming back to the seemingly strange fact that WE at least have no knowledge of them towing cars or being interested much in the cars (unless I’ve missed that which is possible but it’s such a big indicator, IMO). Do we have any hard confirmation that cadaver dogs were brought through the house? Because if they were and they didn’t hit on the house nor the car, I’m very agreeable to the idea that whenever happened didn’t happen there, and that transport didn’t involve the car (unless it involved a car we don’t know about that has yet to be brought to light and searched.

Also, regarding her interview. Her statement is very odd in regards to the falls, saying “falls could either be cooking dinner...or at the park”. Could either be? This is not a normal speech pattern when recounting past events, IMO. This is giving examples of how something COULD happen but not how something DID. Am I making sense? Just look at “falls could either be”, focus on that and try to use that naturally in recalling past situations. It’s not adding up for me, right there. One might be more likely to say, IMO, for example, “he has fallen while cooking dinner, or at the park”.

Agreed, didn't happen inside the home. She was careful to do it right after a move, when nobody knew the family, friends, or schedules. The shower, if it happened, was after she returned home and had thought out what she'd say to LE. That's why she's sitting pretty now -- probably thinking nobody can track her movements.

I believe LE only said, "a person running barefoot," we made the assumption here it was a woman.

You are correct.

Now, LE has stated right from the beginning, and has maintained, that Lucas was not abducted. http://www.kansas.com/news/local/crime/article202170059.html

In the most recent article, LE stated that Lucas did not walk out that back door: http://www.kansas.com/news/local/crime/article203174319.html

So, going by LE's statements, and the neighbor's account of what he has seen http://www.kansas.com/news/local/article201763589.html , that leaves the possibility of three people's footsteps that they could belong to: EG, the little baby sister's, and the man smoking with EG.

There has been no account of anyone else going to their home or anyone being seen coming or going, other than the man that was smoking, to which we don't know who that man is.

That's why I wondered if perhaps the little sister took off maybe looking for her big brother because she missed him. We have no idea how big the footprints are, whether they're adults or child size, but LE has stated that Lucas did not walk out that door. Any ideas of who you might think it could be?

I felt like she's trying for the sympathy card. Like, "I'm so hurt and i am not ready to talk about it."

But, I could be wrong.

I believe she is coming up with her plan now- I know she lawyered up initially so LE could not question her without a lawyer. The fact that she said she will hire one tells me she has not talked at all . Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if she comes back with the “I am abused” story- she is waiting to see how things unfold. In her interview there is a specific time that stands out to me. When she is asked if she knows what happened, she looks left, right, puts her head down and shakes it side to side (looking down shaking her head no). In my opinion, I believe she recalls what happened, and puts her head down as she is thinking about the incident shaking her head as if not wanting to remember it, or remembering it as an accident- I will elaborate on this more this evening when I grab my notes. I think it was an accident, she knows what happened, she put him in a “controlled “ place- a place that would be more under her control if that makes sense- close to home - LE are searching Chisolm park for a reason. LE are evidence based. There was a ping from her phone or evidence that she was up there. MOO- If she spent time there, that could be considered a controlled place for her.

OT: I just decided to read up on the missing Hoggle children here on WS as they are still missing from my neighborhood, going on 4 years now. Anyway, I saw lots of posts from frequent commenters here about little LH. Seems there are some very good people in the world, just doing their best, even from afar, to help assist these sweet little children.

I've never learned anything about statement analysis or body language interpretation as much as I would like to. I realize we are down to literally picking apart her words but I'd be interested in hearing analysis(ses) of her interview if anyone has time or wants to share.
Paddleboarder, thinking of you, FLA and the locals too numerous to name cuz I'd feel horrible about leaving someone out.
Praying for a good PC today and strength for all.

I don't know as much as I'd like to. It's not a lie detector tool as much as a tool to flag things to look deeper into and question further.

Some of the things that stand out to me:

She seemed very bothered by the question of what happened, she was going to up and leave after that question.

She's eulogizing Lucas "your brothers and sisters miss you"

She's storytelling. Lots of um's and er's, lots of pauses. She gives too much info about the pull up, it's said in storytelling mode. That could suggest she wants us to believe it was the middle of the afternoon but it really wasn't.

She wants us to know that it's a 'fact' that she took a shower that Saturday. Is that the only 'fact' you've told us during the entire interview? Why is it so important to state that the shower is a 'fact'?

She has some kind of issue referring to JH by name or by his relationship with her, instead she's seeing him in terms of his relationship to the children "their dad". It could be because the children were on her mind during the relating of this part, or I think it's worth conjecturing that it might be guilt-related (feelings of guilt). What could cause feelings of guilt related to his status as 'dad', maybe that she's taken one of his children away from him and broken that relationship of him being dad? Or maybe it's about relationship issues between EG and JH.

What was said about he "could" have fallen during cooking dinner. Very odd. Is she inadvertently telling us that something did happen during cooking dinner the previous night? Let's not forget that she has child endangerment charges for 4-6pm the previous day...dinnertime?

IMO EG might not seem like the brightest person. I get that. But I just don't think it's not possible that she has studied enough cases and watched enough CSI type shows to have pre-planned.
She probably wants us to think she's really dumb at this point.

She said it happened a few days before he was reported missing, yes. But when was he really missing?

I have a feeling its, closer to the 11th, shortly after her two sons went home to their dad's. JMO

I think so, too.

Also, LE has said, there was no sign of abduction right from the start. They're basically pretty sure who's responsible, and we can pretty much rule out any family members or friends outside of EG and JH being responsible for him being missing, because if a loving family member did take Lucas of concern, this would be classified as an abduction and possibly an Amber Alert would have been issued, or at the very least, a BOLO alert (be on the lookout).

I am not saying JH did anything at all, just saying that outside of the two of them as parent/girlfriend of parent, LE doesn't suspect any outsider taking him.

So, that leads us to one person for now, EG, and hopefully LE and TEQ can find the little darling soon so that Lucas' family and friends can have an answer as to what, at the very least, happened to him.

Key word being "park" perhaps. Interesting she would use that word.

We are on the same wave. The 11th seems like the day

Yup, definitely thinking late on the 11th or early on the 12th. That seems to be right around the time that things go awry. UGH. Where are you, pumpkin?!

My heart. I just... this little boy. I'm so angry and sad, all at the same time.

If I may elaborate on this further, I was just thinking of two scenarios here-

The first, is maybe she wasn't with EG when Lucas went missing. Perhaps he was gone for a few days before it was reported, and she missed him so much, she went to look for him?

OR

Maybe she was with EG when they were in the park or woods somewhere, where she saw Lucas last, and maybe in her own little mind, she was trying to go there to find her brother?

This is just speculation and my thoughts and opinions, but it dawned on me that perhaps EG ran after her barefoot and found her in time before she got too far. They never stated if there was any children's footprints, eg, the baby's, to see if anyone remembers a woman chasing a toddler.

I really love hearing everyone's different thoughts and brainstorming! I feel like there is a really good group here (online as well as actual feet on the ground) and it's threads like this I especially value where mature people can have civil and interactive discussions and come together and actually be productive.

Me too. I want him found so he can have a respectful resting place. I want him found so his family can have closure. I am interested to see how many “old broken bones” this child has- I want him to have the Justice he deserves.

Steeleslady, I'm playing catch-up on my cell, so no quoting you, but you and I must be in the same dream universe. I keep seeing the long brown grass, trees, a dirt mound , some kind of trail, and a fire colored sky....weird

I do too. It is amazing to me how we can all hear the same interview or read the same article and have different viewpoints. When I read the different interpretations it makes me think hmmm I didn't think of it that way or consider that. Gives me different angles to look at things.

If EG knew how many of these cases most of us have followed then she'd know why the majority of us do not believe her story.
It is excruciating to wait day after day for word on a missing child.
I can't imagine what Lucas' family is going through.
I saw nothing but crocodile tears in EG's interview. Not devastation. JMO:(
And we continue to count the days. :gaah:

ETA I remember all of us waiting and waiting for word on Haleigh Cummings. While Misty her dad's live-in gf had called 911 saying she'd been sleeping and found the backdoor wide open and Haleigh gone. Saying you were sleeping when a child comes up missing is a red flag.
http://*******************.blogspot.com/2012/11/*******************-of-misty-croslin-911.html
Statement Analysis of Misty Croslin 911 Call

"Misty Croslin: “Hi…umm…I just woke up…and our backdoor was wide open and I think…and I can’t find our daughter”
"
Here, Misty tells the 911 operator 3 things:

1. That she was asleep. This is THE single most important element for the caller: that the police know she was asleep and has now just woke up.

2. That "our backdoor was wide open".

Notice that the 2nd most important thing for the police to know is about the backdoor being wide open. Misty says "our" backdoor; not "the" backdoor.
-snip-
jmo

Yes, that she was sleeping, that the backdoor was open, THEN that Haleigh was missing. If you were truly scared that your daughter was missing you would say FIRST "MY DAUGHTER IS MISSING!" Then explain that she found the door open.

What was the name of the little baby that went missing end of last year? Anyway, the 911 call there was "I was asleep, my older daughter woke up, she came to us to wake us, and told us that the baby was missing". Instead of "My baby daughter is missing! My older daughter woke me up and she's gone!"

If the first thought is to get their story straight, questions are raised already.

I just had the most wiiiierd idea....

I was trying to think of what further insight could possibly be gleamed from Malik Drummond's case, and I remembered when I noticed bruises, etc on some of his pics...

My idea would be a software where LE/FBI/Crimes Against Children Task Force scans SM pics of kids to detect frequent injuries...

Is that crazy or what?! Of course kids have bruises and cuts all the time, so of course that would be the obvious problem/challenge with such a software detection, but what if it happened to crosscheck with an archived complaint via CPS, etc? Or get flagged if the custodials have drug or violent arrests, etc?
