*shudders*. Very different than from where I live.
They are sooooo beautiful, especially in the spring & summer. The whole sky is on fire, as far as you can see. When my husband and I lived out of state for a while and would come home for the weekend, I would watch the sunsets in the rearview mirror while headed back and just cry. Now I live with an unobstructed view to the west and it's amazing. [emoji171][emoji171]

Wherever Lucas is, he is seeing these magical sunsets in peace, without the horrors of his previous life.

(Now I've made myself cry)

They are GORGEOUS. If not for that whole tornado thing I might want to live there.
The weather officials here do a **** of a job keeping us all safe! Plus there's plenty of room to see them coming lol

I think poor Lucas was put in a dumpster. This is so sad.

That risky for the first few days. But once that threshold has past, it would be the hardest to search, and most likely to not be found.

Let's consider dumpsters, and especially dumpsters in truck stops that have showers, for example. What is the likelihood that Lucas would be found if he was placed in one of those dumpsters out of state? Oklahoma, for example.

I went back to 2014 on her twitter and didn't find any true crime podcast - what am I missing?

The sunsets here are very beautiful, but I can understand that in places like California and others, seeing those colors on the horizon might be alarming.
Oooh I didn't even think of this but raeann's right. So sorry @Steelslady ! We have wildland fires here but nothing even close to what happens in the mountains!! I can't imagine how terrifying a sky full of actual fire would be. I apologize if I came across as insensitive!

My opinion in response to your last sentence - zero. :(

Lucas could have had a fit, and EG left him at the park
If so, she would have been better off saying he disappeared from the park. Because, he'd still be there somewhere, right?

It's her very first tweet on the top

Someone posted a link to her instagram or Twitter awhile back where she was listening to podcasts... true crime podcasts... she might know more than we think she does. We are almost to day 16 afterall...

This appears to be here last tweet, in 2015. I tried to follow the link embedded, but it’s not appearing due to her fb privacy settings. From what I can tell, it appears to not be a podcast, but rather some sort of game...maybe a fb game?

Anyone here familiar with a Criminal Case game? Perhaps you can shed some light. TIA!

Me too. I think she was strung out, freaked out, put him in a dumpster (sorry!), and he's found a permanent resting place with no chance of being located.

I just keep going back to the drugs (reported by LE via MSM). By the Grace of God I have no experience in this area, but wouldn't meth especially have an affect on a person's mental faculties, even when not under the influence?

My exhusband works at one of the big trash companies in town hauling commercial trash and they have been on high alert from the beginning. It’s possible it was missed but they have been watching carefully.

What a horrible feeling they must have every time they make a pick up.

It is a pretty popular facebook game. You can also download and play on your phone.

THIS is a great thought! I hope to have some time later this afternoon/evening and will listen to as much as I can of the podcasts posted and see if there’s any other relevant information to those cases as well. I’ll post if anything strikes me in particular.

Great discussion here, everyone!
She also posts an article about a story involving "abandoning a 5 year old boy"

I just found it on her twitter page

It would be interesting to know if Emily used Foursquare's Swarm app.

Let me tell you, they have all found disturbing things. It would be impossible for a residential driver to pick up a dead child without noticing, stuff always breaks up when they dump it in the truck (your trashmen know way more about you then you might think hahaha). It is possible for something to go unnoticed in a dumpster BUT the trash companies work very closely with the police dept all the time here. One of the first things LE does is go thru the trash if they are watching a house and they have a special way of collecting it.

Thanks so much, I hadn’t heard of it. Maybe it sheds no insight at all.

Scrolling through the entirety of her Twitter use is very interesting. Clearly she’s very active on social media, at least from the year or so her twitter account is active. You can definitely pinpoint the time where she’s in a relationship with an ex and then approximately 2-3 weeks later begins her relationship with JH. After that, she stays very active for about 4 months and then no more updates. Quite a few posts about marijuana use as well.

It makes me wonder if something significant changed in her life around July, 2015. Is that perhaps when she and JH began living together? Is that when she began her role as “step mother” to Lucas daily? Did the stress of being a full time caregiver, especially with JH away for such long periods of time, maybe set her on a downward spiral? EG’s appearance doesn’t strike me as that of a frequent meth or heroine use or addict, but I just feel like at some point she had to have progressed to using a drug “harder” than weed. I mean, it’s been probably around 2 decades since I last smoked it, but I did smoke very regularly high school and her abusive behavior just doesn’t fit the bill of what I know the effects of marijuana to have on a user. I only bring this up because I feel like if we knew exactly what drugs she was using, perhaps we’d have a better idea of what mindset she’d be in. KWIM?

I am wondering if she is addicted to some type of pain med. I remember reading on one of her social media accounts about using marijuana for pain relief, and then her mention of a health problem and not being able to work in the court documents. (no clue if she really has a health problem or not) I can see her easily abusing pain meds if she was taking them originally for an injury of some type.

Just a thought, I may be wrong because I'm not a user, but today's marijuana is different from 20 years ago isn't It?
Different strains developed for different highs?
Sativa vs Indica and hybrid strains...

Anyway, I agree, I know lots of regular users and NONE of them ever act out aggressively or get manic on it.
