Sedgwick Co. Sheriff’s Office searches for woman missing since New Year’s Day

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is looking for 29-year-old Monica Rachelle Williams.

Williams is described as being 5′1″ and between 155 and 190 pounds. She was last seen wearing white and gray pajama pants and a red shirt.

2 missing people from Sedgwick Co., Wichita identified as victims in homicide investigation

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office has released the identities of two people whose bodies were found in Sumner County this week.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office has identified two bodies found in Sumner County. The first body was found on Friday, May 10, and the other was located on Monday, May 13. Both were located near River Road in rural Sumner County near Belle Plaine.

Both bodies were transported to the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center for further testing and examination.

The sheriff’s office said it received confirmation Friday afternoon through DNA testing on the identities of the two deceased individuals. Both were reported missing in early January of 2024. Monica R. Williams, 29, had been reported missing through the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, and Kevin M. Ledesma, 24, was reported through the Wichita Police Department.
