A 23-year-old Wichita mother charged in the death of her child was in court Monday for an arraignment. She pleaded not guilty.

Brandi Marchant and Patrick Javonovich are both charged with first-degree murder and child abuse in the death of their 2-year-old son Zaiden.

I expect they will each blame the other. JMO
At least they are going to trial soon -- please no delays! Will they be tried together? That drama could be interesting. Their attorneys might want separate trials. We'll see.
Another child who didn't have a chance. Another angel in a place that already has too, too many...:(:mad:

So there were 22 previous 911 calls to the home, for emergencies, and these children were malnourished, wasting away, and had numerous prior injuries, including bone fractures, and had ingested meth, and nothing could be done in time? :eek::mad::(
He might be alive today if he and the other child had been seen and taken from the home after the 21st 911 call. Did anyone follow-up and go to the home and look at those children? And IMHO, his mother Brandi could be a poster picture for a meth user.
Just dammit.

Having trouble, huh? I didn't know that. What a pity. Could it be meth withdrawal? JMHO. I've heard it can be a bit unpleasant. I hope he's not hurting or hungry or scared or under his normal weight. I sure hope he gets his meals on time... :mad:
