Found Safe KY - Charlee Campbell, 2, *autistic* & Pitbull Terrier Named Penny, Bullitt County, 7 Jun 2018

I don't think the Grandparents did anything to Charlee.
I just wish we knew if parents were a viable option... or if she definitely wandered away.

The missing poster on the Bullitt county (sheriff's) site has so many lovely pictures of Charlee.

I hope there's positive news soon!

If this ends well, I'll fall out of my chair.

It is 68 degrees in Bullitt County right now. It is supposed to get up to 92 degrees today. Forecast says rain tomorrow.

The four hour window worries me so much - hoping today brings a positive outcome.

I always try to think positive thoughts and remain hopeful but after seeing so many of these situations it can be really difficult.

Charlee, where are you? I can’t even imagine what the family must be going through.

That the media has been relocated makes me more than a little nervous :-/

If she's near the Beech Grove Baptist Church (per Fox-41) then she's right where the swampy Salt River bottom land meets "the knobs." It's also right along the border of Ft Knox territory, so there wouldn't be many (public) roads where somebody driving around the area could see her wandering around. I'd think that being on a knob/hill would be safer than in the swampy land, but the knobs have some cliffs right along the Salt River (just inside of Ft Knox). But I think that Ft Knox is fairly secured (i.e. fences and/or roadblock-like things). Since she's so young, and purportedly autistic, we can only hope that it's a smart doggie that's with her.

Dear bflocket,

Thank you for helping us understand the lay of the land there.

Sounds like there could be nooks and crannies around there that someone could "tuck into" for comfort at night.

When I read the new article (below) the words "her pet pit bull, Penny" sprang out at me. Sounds like they would have a strong bond between them. Dogs are so loyal it's amazing. Penny would be so protective of Charlee.

Glad to hear that it wasn't too cool last night for little Charlee. Dogs can provide incredible warmth. I think of the terms "one dog night" and "three dog night" was how temperatures used to be gauged up north.

Hopefully, Charlee will start walking again today and is spotted. My hope is great that this precious little girl is found.

Dogs will stay out searching until noon. Sheriff Tinnell says he personally thinks this could be related to a custodial dispute. Several family members have been brought in & their statements have been recorded. Sheriff says he does not suspect foul play at this point. @WDRBNews

Thought this was a great picture of Charlee and Jenny. Praying they are both found safe today.
