NEW: Bullitt Co. Sheriff says a person of interest has been taken into custody. He’s a family friend who is being questioned because he may have been seen near the home during the early morning hours yesterday. Charlee still has not been found. She’s been missing for 26 hours
^%&*^&$%Boyfriend of mother has been detained on outstanding warrants unrelated to this case. Grandparents have custody (all said in the video).
Dog has not been seen (blue and white pit bull, rather large).
If they were in the woods, the dog would surely bark if people are out there shoutin, etc.
IMO she is not out there, she has to be with someone
The confusion or miscommunication about her being autistic or not being autistic is interesting too. It was initially reported that she is not verbal, but uses grunt sounds.
Is that true or not? Lots of 2 yr olds do not speak many words yet. But if she is almost 3, as some have reported, than she would be expected to have some spoken words and some verbal comprehension.
I wonder if this 'miscommunication' is part of the custody battle. One side says she is 'probably autistic', the other denies it?
In one of the articles the grandparents are described as 'the adoptive grandparents.' I wonder if that is legally correct or was that just descriptive?

Bullitt County Sheriff Donnie Tinnell says the person taken into custody -- Robert Bailey -- was a guest in the home from 11 a.m. on June 6 to 4:30 a.m. on June 7.
Tinnell says the grandmother initially forgot to tell police Bailey was there. He is not a suspect in this case, although Tinnell says he is a convicted felon with an outstanding warrant. He did not say what the warrant was for.
The Bullitt County sheriff said a person of interest has been taken into custody in the disappearance of 2-year-old Charlee Campbell.
Sheriff Donnie Tinnell said [redacted by me], a relative, was taken into custody.
Tinnell said he interviewed Charlee’s grandmother on Thursday after the girl was reported missing, but she never told him about anyone being at the house.
In a later interview, she told Tinnell that she forgot to mention that [redacted by me] was at the house from 11 p.m. Wednesday to 4:30 a.m. Thursday. Tinnell said the family is now being taken to the sheriff’s office for further questioning.
