How old is bio mom and bio dad?
Bio dad is 32. I haven't found an age for bio mom yet. The maternal grandparents are both 40 so Mom is not all that old. Bio Mom's current husband is 36 or not much younger than her parents.

Speculation and opinion about the ticks -

Most people walking in wooded areas would be wearing pants and long sleeves and maybe even a hat.

I imagine it wouldn't take as long to get ticks if you weren't wearing any pants. From what I understand it may take up to two hours for a tick to attach itself. If you're in a tick infested area I think that in a few hours you could have ticks attached.

We don't know how many ticks she had. If I had two or three ticks, I'd probably say I was covered in ticks. :(
The female lady who went with the sheriff to take her to the hospital , reported they got several off of her in transport. But she was had ticks everywhere that the hospital needed to get to. It was in one of the linked videos I watched here. But I agree one on me would creep me out enough 2 or 3 would be a infestation (my words only)

I thought bf was 36 didn’t here bio dad was in his 30’s um ok then! I wasn’t aging bio mom being older then 20. But I’m very bad at estimating ages

Sorry I mean husband. I forgot the sheriff said they were in fact married.

Keep in mind Lebanon Junction is a small old town. Not wealthy. There is a new Dollar General store there and the truck stop has a McDonalds. Used to be if your child was taken from you, he would go to either the Glendale Childrens Home in Glendale Kentucky or be taken to Louisville. Glendale has been closed and recently was demolished I believe. I am just trying to explain what kind of community they live in.

I can’t stop thinking about the four hits by the cadaver dogs. A 17 year old girl vanished in 2009 from same town of Shephardsville. I don’t see that she was ever found, but there’s barely any information.

Only about 15 miles away, was this the married girl that vanished after fight/argument with husband?

That's a lot of ticks! I sure hope they paid attention to engorgement size and identification of types of ticks etc. At the very least here if someone gets bit by ticks we save them in case we need to test them.

We live in an area in which we would pretty much never wear long pants, long sleeves or a hat during tick season. It would be hot and miserable and not worth going outside for if we had to dress that way. I'm sure it all depends on the location though regarding exposure etc. But we are outdoorsy people. My kids play outside all day and we are surrounded by woods and grass.

She had a new t-shirt message, today. This one seems to be: "Happiness is being a Grandma".

I think she selects her t-shirts very carefully to send what she thinks is just the right message.

Too bad she doesn't have one that says something like: "I'm sorry for my neglect of Charlee. I love her with all my heart and will willingly take the necessary steps to clean-up my act".

Maybe one of us from websleuths can make her one and send it as a gift.

Who is the 17 year old missing since 2009? Do we have a thread for her?

These 3 are missing from Bullitt County:
KY - KY - Susan Riedling, 18, Shepherdsville, 31 March 1986
KY - Ky - Patsy Nonemaker, 55, Shepherdville, 31 Dec 1999
KY - KY - Lynnlee Taylor, 16, Bullitt County, 17 Jan 2018

What would it take for LE to get a warrant to look under the pool now? It seems like they lost the probable cause to search there after Charlee was found. I hope the FBI didn't stop investigating. JMO. I mean, 4 cadaver dogs alerted and one of them actually jumped in the pool!

Can someone make a family tree with ages and custody/life situations? I’m so confused.

Did we determine if it’s ONLY human decomp they find or ANY decomp?

AFAIK, Cadaver dogs are trained to detect ONLY human decomp. That's just what I have picked up from reading here on WS. There were some links posted earlier in the thread.

Ok, I found a couple of great articles on cadaver dogs

The CSI death dogs: Sniffing out the truth behind the crime-scene

“No one knows exactly what dogs are smelling when they indicate the possible presence of remains. Well-trained cadaver dogs will not flag a living person or an animal. Possible scents include two byproducts of decomposition: putrescine and cadaverine. Although these compounds are common to all decaying material, an ace cadaver dog has such fine-tuned senses, it can differentiate human remains from most animals’. ”

Bringing forward PetDetective's post with links RE Cadaver Dogs.

I'e also been pondering on the cadaver dog hits .

I hope that Charlee has very responsible adults that will keep an eye on her tick bites until healed. Also do blood work to check for tick-borne virus&illness.

I hope to one day read that she is safe and happy. That family needs to get their lives together. They almost ruined her.

I hope social services and LE give this family zero leeway in all aspects regarding Charlee's welfare. She deserves so much more.

Well we are in Kansas and we saw the Brewer case go down. Then when Lucas’s case hit the news that was it ! We literally hired a lawyer the very next day. I have ZERO regrets. I can’t be here after the fact thinking about the what if’s. At least I / we knew we were doing everything possible with out question. I feel for the grandparents and other family members in some of these cases. Wishing or wondering what more they could of done and living with any regrets period.
Thank you for your post. My family are in the middle of a very similar case. We are in Idaho and are fighting for 5 children are now. The children are in a different state. They are 11 years and younger. The newborn tested positive for meth and heroin. The children are in 3 different foster homes and mom is in jail again. It's been hell. We are going to get an attorney now and get custody instead of waiting for the DFC to get their crap together.

As long as she's presumably in a safe place for now, I'm not going to get into any of the other stuff until I hear something official. I just wanted to say that Charlee seemed like she was loved and happy

ETA: Just realized the end of my post disappeared. I had also said that it's just too bad she wasn't also safe there.

Bullitt County grandmother cited after 2-year-old's disappearance

A hearing to decide who will take custody of Charlee wrapped up Wednesday morning. Before it started, Charlee's grandmother, Beth Campbell, was issued a citation for endangering the welfare of a child.

Tinnell says he requested a search warrant to get access to a tablet and two cell phones. That request was denied, so he is trying again.

"Right now we are drawing up a search warrant as we speak and trying to document our probable cause to believe we should get into those phones and those devices and find out if there is any information in those phones that would lead to some kind of foul play," Tinnell said.

The only comment family members had on their way out of court was: "We want Charlee back."

Why would a court decline access to electronic devices when a two year child directly involved with the owners of these phones is missing? This is really strange IMO!
