A LENSAlert was issued for 62-year-old David Yates who was last seen on Aug. 22 near Arbor Pointe Drive and Park Laureate Drive in Jeffersontown.

Yates is about 5'10" tall and 265 pounds. He suffers from a mental illness and needs medication.

Authorities searching for missing man with mental health issues

• Last seen wearing a white T-shirt and dirty-looking tan shorts.
• In addition to mental health issues, Mr. Yates is intellectually disabled and is currently not medicated.
• Police said he is possibly heading to Washington, D.C., via a Greyhound Bus.
• Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
