GUILTY KY - Grayson Co., Male, in Toolbox in Creek, Aug'16 - Tromain Mackall

  • #61
I don't know whether I think the "significant other" is necessarily involved or not. As a guilty party, I mean.

I live in a tiny town in central KY and can only imagine how "welcome" either a black guy (Whitesville's 98%* white) or a transsexual (especially if they're together) would be in a rural town. We're currently politically/racially in a time where the chasm between "those folks" and "regular folks" is as wide as it has been decades.

*That is for the town itself. He disappeared from a few miles south/SE from the actual town.

FWIW, the latest update:

Authorities in Grayson County, Kentucky are still trying to determine the identity of a body found inside a toolbox last week.

The body was found just off of Highway 736 last Tuesday.

Investigators in Ohio County are also waiting on results to see if the body is that of Tromain Mackall who was last seen in the Collier Rd. area near the Ohio-Daviess County line.

I really don't know either. Just wondering if it was possible for a person of his size to do that alone.

I don't see how he could. I'm doubtful that one person could manage a body in a toolbox alone.

Possible, I suppose, but I'm thinking more than one person was involved in at least handling the body.

"I saw like three rubber medical gloves. I told her we need to get back. She said let me see, so we turned it over and you could really smell it," recalled McKenna.

I wonder why the family has said it's him, if they're still waiting on ID? Clothing match maybe?

Im confused on that too as they are the only ones that are saying its him. Surely they are certain it is him. I don't think Simone did this. Maybe some of her friends did though. jmo.

With as long as it's been, I think the family might be jumping the gun on whether this is Mackall or not.
I'm so used to a UID being identified, but their name isn't (publically) released until their relatives can be notified. This seems the opposite.

I can't think of a good reason, but maybe the authorities think that the public "officially" knowing that it's Mackall would somehow jeopardize the investigation.

Tromain Mackall went missing July 24. The toolbox body was found August 2nd. 9 days. Can a body decompose that bad in 9 days that its beyond recognition? Im starting to wonder if someone jumped the gun too. jmo.

I would almost guess in that environment it would. I am thinking it was a metal toolbox. Near water. In a major heat wave.

We have quite a few UID cases where a name was never released, either to protect the investigation or for privacy reasons. There are sometimes legal or procedural issues as well. Maybe they're waiting for formal confirmation from DNA?

I know it could take weeks for formal identification. Guess Im just surprised LE would even tell a family way before they are able to confirm it.

It seems like it's pretty common for LE to let the family know that something might be coming up. And they might not have actually told them anything. I mean, when they come to collect DNA from you, it's usually kind of a clue. Especially when there's a nearby body in the news. They might have just put two and two together.

Is lime easy to purchase? I have no idea. Who would have lime handy....or who has purchased lime recently in the area?

Iirc, Kahlil Tatum, poi in Relisha Rudd's disappearance purchased some rather easily, hardware store iirc?

Yeah, I don't think it takes long for them to be compared. It might have taken long for the family to track them down.

Sometimes it takes time to schedule time with a qualified forensic dentist. They tend to be rather busy.
