Kentucky State Police Trooper Corey King says authorities are trying to identify a woman accused of using another person’s identity.

According to KSP, the picture above of the woman was taken in 2004 when she was lodged in the Henderson County Jail.

Investigators believe she is from or has ties to Indiana.

Call 270-826-3312 if you are able to help identify the woman.

My intuition tells me that LE is witholding real reason why they trying to ID woman in the photo from 2004. Using someone else's ID 14 years ago just is not that.

Unfortunately there is not much relevead in this article, which has me buffled and intriqued to know more, however I hope WS can find extra information and maybe help to identify her.

Poorly written but adds...

"... a woman applied for a Kentucky medical profession job for which she had gone to school and majored. But she was told she couldn't have the job becaus of her arrest record.

Problem: The applicant had never been arrested.

But a 2004 arrest in Henderson county had her name on it and the matter just wouldn't go away.

The applicant told Kentucky State Police that she remembered losing her wallet 14 years ago, and that included her drivers license... "

"The identity thief has to be found before the applican't's record can be cleared."

why does the thief have to be found to clear this Woman's name ??, Clearly they have fingerprints and photos of the thief ?? I hate the way these things are handled !!! my identity was Stolen and the person opened a Sears Credit card and with that they installed appliances IN THEIR HOUSE !! I filed a report and called sears they asked me to send my license in for proof , I faxed it to them then guess what ...the debt was then legitimate (believe me I called that company every name in the book ) took 10 years to get it off my credit , no one was ever prosecuted either !!! IN THEIR HOUSE now this was in the early 90s but still.....and yes I know exactly who it was , did not know them personally .

The identity theft has to be found? Seriously? What if the thief is already deceased? Why was the original license accepted by police during this arrest? Once the arresting officer ran the license he would see that a duplicate was issued invalidating the original the thief was using.

This is an odd story, is their no other records of an identity theft that could clear this up? No credit cards or loans, purchases that could prove the I'd was stolen? Or did the thief just decide to use this id once when arrested?

Has LE tried facial recognition software?

14 years, when did the victim of the theft find out? Did she obtain an attorney? Try to have it expunged? That it 'just didn't go away' leads me to believe she found out some time ago.
