I wish I could answer this but I missed that part too... I'll see if I can find the reason. I dont think anyone really knows though as the boys snuck out I think...

If both of those children were afraid of the dark there had to be a valid reason especially for Trey at 14 when most have outgrown those fears.

It even makes me wonder if sometime in their young lives were they locked outside in the dark and weren't allowed back in? That can terrorize any child and make them very fearful of the dark.

Plus abuse and turmoil can trigger this too. I think something was really bothering Trey.......especially when it came to his little sister.

I just find all of this so sad.

I heard some mention (I think it was on HLN) that Trey was trying to protect his little sister in that home? Like she had confided in him that she was being sexually abused?

I agree about the seriousness behind the fear of the dark in BOTH children. I remember my 14 year old son he could sleep through anything. Pitch black or every light in his room blazing. He slept like he ran himself ragged during the day (which he had).

I cant find anything on his cell phone records. I'll keep trying.... I believe we already know why he was leaving that night.... His father knew why he was leaving thats why he wanted the lights turned off...

I know the Dad said that Trey felt JY was strange in that he couldn't tell how to read to him etc. I don't recall the Dad stating that he knows why Trey left the house that night. jmo

Yeah, I dont think we have heard a real reason. In one report JG said he and Trey were smoking a J when an argument broke out. This is a lie given as his story changed yet again. So I really dont think anyone knows why Trey left that night. Or should I say we dont know why....
