Watching HLN this kidnap happened before the death of Trey? That makes more sense that he let the kidnap victim go. I thought the trip was a last ditch effort to evade police and charges for Trey's death?

No, the kidnap happened after the death of Trey. Why would she be testifying that the defendant was boasting about killing him otherwise?

HLN shouldn't comment on trials if they aren't aware of the facts, MOO.

The kidnapping was 2 weeks after Trey was killed.

That makes sense. But I wish I remembered verbatim what HLN said what they said. That this happened before the death of Trey and it supported a pattern of behavior from JG.

Gah! Not the first time I've noticed that you get more accurate info from other posters on WS than you do off the MSM.

TThanks Myvice that makes sense like I originally thought. HLN should admit boo boos, or I need to remember they may not know all the facts. That really threw me. That and all these interwoven relationships.

And this isn't brand new to the folks at HLN. They have been following and reporting about it since opening arguments. :banghead:

ITA. HLN is confusing in their commentary. This trial is very convoluted. There does not seem to be a logical order to it. The case seems to be concentrating more on Gouker than Young. As I am late to this case, I thought it was Gouker on trial but it kept saying Young.

Has any evidence or testimony implicated Young yet? TIA :seeya:

Now the atty on HLN has the chronological story right. whyioughta

So I am curious why JG let the kidnap victim go. I hope she testifies.

Today a woman testified that she took a trip with the dad (in prison) and his son (this defendant). That the trip turned ugly, she took some pills because the dad told her to and was instrumental in getting another kind hearted woman (she agreed to take this witness and her son (not he son, this defendant) to the bus stop. Instead the dad kidnaps this driver and her car. During trip this defendant tells this witness he beat Trey to death.

Wow it sounds like this kidnapped woman bluffed her way out of getting killed by telling JG that his threat of 'this is where I am going to kill you' wasn't funny. He turned the car around and they went to get something to eat. Wow. I think she saved her own life.

I have missed a lot of testimony. I have relied on print articles which can be mistaken too LOL.

The only thing testified to so far as I can tell is that Trey's mother seems to alibi JG at the time of death.

Todays witness, Jahaira Riddle Friend, says JY was talking about the murder while Jahaira, Angelic Burkhead and JG were in the car.

JRF says she and AB were tricked into going with JG and JY after the murder. Ab was allowed to leave after the first day. Then a woman named Erin was abducted at gunpoint (JG) and forced to take them to another area in Alabama. JG ultimately let Erin go and JRF says JY was upset about that. Erin did call the cops and JG, JY, and JRF were arrested at the hotel they had let Erin leave from. JRF says she was ultimately released after telling what happened and I believe JG still faces charges for kidnapping and gun possession. I'm unsure if JY still faces charges for that or not.

So far for me, the most consistent thing has been that Trey's mom and JRF have both said JG controlled them by not letting them out of his sight, even to go to the bathroom.

I just read an article about the alleged "kidnapping" -- the prosecutor said he couldn't make the charge stuck because Gouker and the victim (Erin) knew each other and had a prior relationship. So it sounds like this was not truly a kidnapping - sounds like it was someone who was along for the ride and got pissed at some point and called the cops on Gouker.

I think everybody's lying and covering for everybody else, including the mother. I think they all know exactly what happened and all share some guilt in what happened to Trey so they started covering for each other and constructing alibis from the beginning.

The only person who's really in the dark is Trey's bio dad.

Everybody's gone for the day, but I've been digging around a bit to try to find some more background info.

Here's a recording of Gouker's call with police when he says he k ows what happened to Trey and can solve their case -- references his son and sounds like he's crying:

So Big Josh and Little Josh were not suspects for the murder until Gouker called police and said that his son killed Trey?

Question, does a 15 year old have the ability to form criminal intent while under the influence of a criminally controlling father? Who's criminal intent was the 15 yr old acting out, his own or his father's?

Legally, yes. 15 year old is criminally responsible for his own conduct.

Was this witness (the tatoo woman) an accomplice to the kidnapping or an additional kidnapping victim?

And we don't know that he controlled JY just because he controlled women. JY could have been a partner in crime or put on a pedestal. He is the man's only son, right?

JG was bragging about his 'seed' in prison (specifically his 'demon seed'), so he was likely to give his son much higher status, imho.

Prosecutors said Gouker told two fellow inmates he had his son kill Zwicker because Zwicker's mother aborted Gouker's child.

Gouker apparently told the inmates he "made a demon seed and created a killer" out of his teenage son.
