Just got up! And it's the end??

Were there any new witnesses today?

Jury excused for the day, closing arguments and jury instructions tomorrow
Judge instructs jurors to pack a bag in case they don't reach a verdict tomorrow, they will be sequestered.

Judge sending them home. With only 12 jurors, I think, that is a bit dangerous in my opinion.

No, I counted 13 that time. 12 before. I need to count one more time as a tie-breaker.
We are going to talk about jury instructions now.

I hope I am wrong but if JY if young not guilty I think JG may try to appeal his verdict and introduce the timed/dated sex tape. If JG is found not guilty of murder can the state try him for complicity?

I can imagine the monster and his mini monster laughing while throwing back a cold one and beating any near by wild life with sticks. Makes me sick...

I am praying this jury knows JY choose his dad's way of life over the one offered by the system and foster care. He could have run to LE any time to get out from under JG.

The problem with that imo is that the State has never shown a TOD.

Wasn't a juoror kicked off for sleeping during court testimony or was the peson just admonished by the judge?

This way the jurors collect $12.50 for the day?

:floorlaugh: wicked.

The judge forgot to tell the jury they hit the mother lode today!

Well he did mention that their lunch tomorrow was not coming out of their $12.50 pay day. ;)

Omigosh they're finished?? What about the light guy and calling Terry Zwicker back about the dark, etc., etc.??

So I guess this means the defense is pretty sure they're gonna get not guilty?

  • #655
Did anyone ask about TZ being afraid of the dark???? Does anyone know???

I believe they were kicked off. I remember the camera not showing the juror leaving after the judge called them up.

I bet the Prosecutor is Pizzed she wasted a suit for this....

I watched the movie 'Slingblade' last night and thought that the monster in that movie was probably real close in character to JG. Unlike the movie where someone took care of the monster before he could ruin the boy I think JY is damaged and has made his choice on lifestyle and that is to emulate his hideous father.

And poor innocent Trey. Lost to us forever. So wrong.

Defense attorney mentions man who helped Booth after he killed Lincoln, saying he wasn't complicit in the murder.

I have been searching out complicity to commit murder laws this morning to understand it more.

I believe the commonwealth's theory is JG did not commit the actual murder but he was the mastermind. Sort of like cases where hit men are hired to murder someone. The one who thought of the plot is the mastermind and the one who carries it out is guilty of complicity to commit the murder.

I understand now why the sentence is as long as JG received.

Complicity really means when another person includes another individual to enter into the same crime. It is somewhat like one who enters into a conspiracy with another party in order to carry out a criminal act.

So it doesn't really matter who was the mastermind and who carried it out and assisted ......JY would still be guilty as charged even if he did the murder under the direction of his father.

Oh while I was searching around about this I came across an appellate case and it reminded me of this case and JG. The man pleaded guilty to second degree murder. His appellate attorneys filed an appeal stating there was insufficient evidence to support a verdict of guilt and the Judge erred by accepting his plea. The case was overturned. Imo that is exactly what JG is going to have his appellate lawyers do once this case is over. They really had nothing proving he was guilty of murdering Trey.

I really think JY did this crime on his own but the commonwealth had a monkey wrench thrown in the case when JG pled to murdering TZ and he knew it would.

imo
