Human remains were found Saturday afternoon (3-4-2026) in a wooded area off of Moran Summit Road in Madison County, KY. KSP doesn't yet have an identification; from the description, the remains sound old and perhaps skeletal. This one might require DNA analysis...

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police say an investigation is underway after human remains were found in Madison County.
According to troopers, human skeletal remains were found in a wooded area off Moran Summit Road in Madison County just before noon on Saturday.
The remains were removed by the Madison County Coroner and were taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for identification.
Madison County Chief Deputy Coroner Carlos Coyle said a small article of clothing was found with the remains, but nothing indicated foul play was involved.....(more at link)
