Yeh the way the evidence reads is that he murdered carol and then waited for louise to enter the building, presumably this was done in an effort to stifle any noise from louise which is evil.

I doubt the defence speech will take long. I can see the jury returning a verdict today. It's not a difficult one imo.
He's not done himself any favours by that.
But he won't care. He must know there's no chance of acquittal. He's just done this to cause more trouble and grief, and above all to control. His decision to plead not guilty has controlled everyone present in the court, and everyone who has worked behind the scenes to stage this trial.

Am sure it only took them seconds as well. They probably just had a cuppa and waited a polite length of time, to indicate they had discussed the charge.
Becky Watts is the only other case that I remember having a very quick verdict, in a matter of hours.
