Kyron Horman General Discussion thread 2023 - 2026

Terri has established herself as very cunning and sneaky. I never knew she washed his BP and jacket , I'm sad that she had that opportunity to destroy possible evidence,

This woman subtly involved the teacher in her crime by lying about the doctor appointment , she manipulated the teacher into providing ammunition for her punishments of Kyron by demanding reports for every possible kind of infraction. She wanted a daily report so she could show her husband why Kyron was locked in his room all night while she drank and partied on the phone and whatever...she had some kind of obsession with Kyron's teacher who still had a license to teach children, unlike Terri.

this woman clearly hated this child. there, I said it. mOO

Hi Knox. My recollection is that she says she watched him walk down the hall. She was at or near the top of the stairs.
That is correct. From an almost 15 yr old article:

Kyron Horman's stepmother, Terri Moulton Horman, last saw him walking down a hallway toward his second grade classroom at about 8:45 a.m.

Still, I cannot imagine a worse idea for abducting a child than leaving a school with them without someone noticing. At the minimum other kids are around and unpredictable.
See to me, its perfect. Busy parents rushing to grab their kids, ids running all around. These scenarios are how kids get lost frequently. Because there is too much going on to notice. Especially if it is not something unexpected. I think people would be more likely to notice if it was a stranger, or someone they had not seen picking up Kyron.

That being said, I have a feeling at least one of the kids saw Kyron leaving with Terri that day.

I thrilled to hear the FBI is working the case again. I believe Terri got away with murder. I’m glad she lost her daughter but it is not enough.

Given Delphi all original evidence and interviews need a complete review.

I agree 100%,she should have done been charged and locked up. God knows and she knows she did what she did. She deserved to lose her daughter and should never be allowed around any child ever again.

It's so unfair that Kyron Horman is not with his mother or father. Cant believe it's been 15 years since sweet precious Kyron gone.

When a child goes missing, the first hours can be critical. In Kyron Horman’s case, investigators didn’t even know he was missing until about six hours had passed — a devastating delay that may have forever altered the trajectory of one of Oregon’s most haunting unsolved cases.

Fifteen years ago today, Kyron Horman vanished. IMO, the person responsible for his disappearance walked away and remains free to live her life.

Here’s to HOPE … this year Kaine and Desiree’s nightmare will end.

they need to go over all the information from the school and Kyron's teacher very closely..every witness needs to be checked with. I feel like they just missed a connection somewhere and they would have had her...they would have her cold. I wonder what a profiler will say and wether they can look at the demography and make a calculation on where she went with Kyron based on all her
movements during a span of time..I know they do this. You know, we never thought we would catch
Chase Merritt we never thought we would find the McStays.

2 failed polygraphs. 2

On Wednesday, we'll be breaking down the timeline of events, how the investigation has evolved over the years, where things stand now, and never-before-seen emails pertaining to the case - “The Unsolved Mystery of Kyron Horman" airs tonight at 6:30 p.m.

He was last seen wearing a CSI t-shirt. oh the irony. mOO

you would think digging a hole somewhere would be too obvious and get you caught..except out there you might be able to blend in because there is a lot of earthmoving going there all the time.
it's kinda of necessary to maintain things. it's a very damp place anywhere near the coast..building , logging, re-enforcing inclines, roads..yards..agriculture, logging...you get my drift. Hmmm...that is so suss...I wonder about this a lot now..surely they checked out the tractor rental? mOO

One possibility could be she dumped him in a hole in at construction site or on a logging road and kicked dirt on top of him to hide him and was covered up when the workers got back.

Desiree talks about some premeditated planned elements in this interview with Kyle. It’s not a stretch to think she really gave some thought in advance as to how to dispose of Kyron’s body. The possibilities are many.

there are endless hidey holes in Portland, you could roll a body down a hill into the ferns and mosses and tangles and no one would ever find it. ever. in a million years. mOO

Anywhere in that area about five feet off the road would offer a place to hide a body since it has dense woods with deep forest duff.

There seems such high reliance on Terri's cellphone location as an indicator of where Terri was. Terri has been questioned about where she was driving during those critical 1.5 to 2 hours after Kyron disappeared from the school and massive searches have been conducted based on her cellphone pings. It would be interesting to know if calls or texts came in to Terri's cellphone during those critical hours and if so, were they were answered or did Terri not respond to them until closer to the time she went to the gym? IMO, this would suggest that Terri's cellphone was not with Terri during those hours but was instead with someone else.

During those same critical 1.5 to 2 hours, Terri's friend DS was missing from where she was to be working that day and she had locked her cellphone in her parked car during that time.

We know Terri used "misdirection" on the date of Kyron's disappearance. She claims to have last seen Kyron (the back of his head) as he entered the classroom at 8:45 am, but multiple witnesses reportedly claim to have seen Terri and Kyron together, walking to her Ford F150 closer to 9 am. Terri claims she told Kyron's teacher that Kyron had a doctor appointment on June 11 (a full week after Kyron disappeared), but the teacher believes that Terri told her June 4 (and thus wasn't concerned when Kyron wasn't present when she took the roll call). Kaine was led to believe Terri would be using the Ford F150 to pick up Kyron's science project on June 4 but Terri did not do so and claims to have sent an email to the teacher that day asking WHEN she could pick the project up. That's a whole lot of misunderstanding and miscommunication for a single day - and particularly when that day is the one where Kyron disappears (for 15 years so far).

IMO, Terri's inclination toward misdirection should be considered when deciding how much reliance to place on her cellphone and vehicle as indicators of her physical location during the hours after Kyron disappeared from school. Likewise, given how close they were, whether the oddities regarding DS's physical location that day were misdirection should also be considered (fellow workers at the farm couldn't find her for a few hours, she couldn't be reached by her cellphone, and she admits having locked her cellphone in her car during working hours). How typical was it of DS to leave her cellphone in her locked car rather than carry it on her person?

I think it very likely that DS was "impersonating" Terri during those 1.5 to 2 hours, driving the Horman's Ford F150 with Terri's cellphone and toddler daughter along for the ride during those 1.5 to 2 hours. DS wouldn't want her own cellphone with her at the time because that would reveal that DS was with Terri's cellphone and vehicle.

So, if DS was with Terri's cellphone, vehicle, and toddler daughter, then WHERE was Terri? We know she likely did not have DS's vehicle as it was parked with DS's cellphone at the farm where she was working.

So, what other resources did Terri have access to, relatively certain control over, and where - that would be adequate to make a 7 year old child disappear (for 15 years so far) without any witnesses seeing anything?

ETA: One question that should be asked DS (assuming DS's immunity agreement requires that she answer questions honestly): If Terri and Kaine were to divorce, did Terri expect that SHE would be the one gaining the family home and property?
