I'm not sure if the FBI will put fresh eyes on the case too although they might. But what I do think from how the article was worded "the file will be re-examined by the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU)." is that the fresh eyes of LE likely will come up with a few tidbits, and those tidbits could spark new ideas/avenues to explore once the FBI receives LE's file of what they've come up with. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

Agents from the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit based in Quantico, Virginia, came to Portland when Kyron first was reported missing, and two returned to spend several days with Kyron Horman investigative team in late January and early this month.

My point is - the FBI BAU has been involved in this case since the beginning and intermittently. I can find other links with mentions later when I have more time.

Bottom line, this is all beneficial for Kyron, Desiree & Kaine.

This is the most haunting case...it just leaves you exhausted...when I started to read about Terri's
lying about this child and punishing him for things that never even happened...insisting on reports from his teacher...locking him in his room all night. Doing this to a young child is SICK. mOO

Not sure if they've done this recently, but if they haven't, I think it may be worth interviewing folks who were there again. Just some food for thought.

Flameless candles will be provided. Please bring a camping or folding chair.

Oh Kyron!!! He is one of the biggest reasons I joined WS. He holds a special little piece and place in my heart. I hate the fact that we "know" part of what happened, but not the whole picture. I hate the fact that even though we basically "know", there has been no justice. Worse, where is Kyron?!

Exactly. I only started paying attention to WS because there was discussion of Kyron.
And hopefully there is another more successful phase of this investigation.

A child who is gaslighted and punished, locked in their room after school and overhearing lies told about their behavior...there is nothing more lonely than this poor kid. I know this sounds awful, but I somewhat hope he's dead and that he died the same day he disappeared. The reason I say this is that the alternative might be this poor little guy being abused and tortured by a sexual predator somewhere!

Unless his step-mother is keeping him hidden with her somewhere...

I was not a Websleuths member back when Kyron went missing and only loosely followed the story in news reports. I started going through the threads about this case but only got through thread #4 before skipping ahead to the threads covering 2020-2022. So, please forgive me if I’m asking a question covered already.

I noticed in the divorce settlement that Terri got the Mustang and Kaine the 2005 pickup as well as “the John Deere tractor.” It doesn’t specify tractor size or capability.

Was that tractor capable of excavating? And then refilling? Was Terri capable of operating it? And if not her, was the friend who was missing during the same hours Terri was capable of operating it? Did the Hormans have a trailer for transporting the tractor? (ETA: was the tractor sophisticated enough to have telematics?)

I remember Terri saying she hired a landscaper on the sly because she believed Kaine wanted too much yard work out of her older son who ultimately moved to live with her parents. What kind of extensive clearing or other yard work was being done? Did LE search the Horman property?…not just a ground search, but a search for areas recently dug?

In my opinion, Kyron was handled off to someone right after he was taken from the school. There is zero chance he is on the property previously owned by Kaine. That tractor wasn’t used in conjunction with Kyron’s disappearance. All MOO.

That is definitely a possibility; however, then why does TMH need DDS's help for an hour and a half or so later that morning?

I'm thinking she needed DDS's help to drive the white Ford pickup around with TMH's daughter in car seat and TMH's phone inside the truck so that if the truck telematics or TMH's phone were checked, they would both indicate that the truck was driving around the roads between Hwy 30 and the Horman home and the truck and phone were NOT at the Horman property (or nearby) where TMH may have been using the tractor to bury Kyron's remains. That would explain why TMH can't reasonably answer exactly what roads she drove on... because it wasn't TMH who was driving or even inside the truck at that time.

So, under my theory, TMH established her primary alibi (KH at the Science Fair, TMH seen with her daughter but without Kyron) from around 9 until roughly 10 or 10:30 am, then at some point TMH picked up DDS (who left her own phone in her car at the farm where she was supposedly working) and DDS dropped TMH at the Horman property and took off with TMH's daughter in car seat in back, driving the roads around the area (likely with a burner phone on hand, TMH also having one on hand) to give TMH a somewhat reliable alibi away from the Horman property until TMH was done and called DDS to pick her up.

Then TMH and DDS may have drove around together, OR TMH and DDS traded places and TMH went to the gym while DDS remained at Horman property to move brush around to conceal the burial spot until TMH picked her up and dropped her back off at the farm before going to the gym. Thus TMH is "covered" for alibi for the entirety of the morning, even though DDS is exposed during the period she was missing from the farm she was supposedly working. After dropping DDS back off at the farm or perhaps when the two were driving around together "solidifying" their story, TMH drove the truck somewhere nearby and chucked the two burner phones into the woods, down a ravine, into a waterway, or whatever.

You would be surprised to realize that abusers vindictively wait for their chances...waiting for a child to come home from school in order to punish...the child often doesn't even remember the infraction..or understand it. So for me it isn't a far reach for me to see Terri planning to harm Kyron
and killing him based on her known behavior it just fits that he goes to school and then he is punished. I bet he thought he was going to the doctor too. His disappearance was no accident.
and now when you see the scope of who Terri actually is, it's very hard to understand how she has not been arrested. When you look at it from the basic ABC's , the family members are first in line
of investigation. Here we have a stepmother who was with the victim when he went missing and she checks all the boxes. she just does. mOO
