Here's a tweet from the author of this article five hours ago. What's up with this and why the (Gulp)? Any locals see the news at 6?

KGW 8 just came to The Oregonian to talk Terri Moulton Horman in the #Kyron story. Check out the news at 6. (Gulp)

The person who tweeted is the Oregonian person who was interviewed for TV. I project that she's nervous/self conscious about being seen on the news (like I would be!).

for the record...the author has confirmed in an e-mail to me that it was TH who J said was hysterical. Not that ya'll doubted it. Hmmm....

BTW - I find it odd that everyone in this family seems to marry and get a divorce so quickly.

I mean, Kaine is 36 and is divorcing his second wife. Terri is divorcing her third husband and Desiree is married to her third husband. I mean, they are all under 40. These people sure get married and divorced a lot. It seems a little odd.

for the record...the author has confirmed in an e-mail to me that it was TH who James said was hysterical. Not that ya'll doubted it. Hmmm....

Why wasn't what he said about his mother (Terri) quotable? I don't get it. The story was about Terri, not Kaine. Kaine's response gets put in quotes but his mom's (the suspected kidnapper/whatever) doesn't and it's an article about her? :waitasec:

ETA: From article: "I've never seen Kaine cry until Kyron went missing," J said, adding that his mother was hysterical.

Me: Oh and by the way J also said his mom was hysterical. WHATTT

Thanks :)

But petit mal seizures (if that's what they suspected might be going on with Kyron) couldn't be controlled by will. Perhaps that's what clued her in there could be something going on organically if he wasn't responding to punishment or incentives, kwim?

Who is they? Not Kaine. Not Desiree. Not Tony. Funny how the ONLY person aware of this supposed condition is Terri. Funny how she is the ONLY person aware of the suspected "autism." (according to today's article.) Sounds to me like she was pulling stuff out of her hiney as a cya move. And then she couldn't even decide which ailment he was supposedly afflicted with.

So again, who is "they?" AFAIK, he was never diagnosed by a professional. Just Terri's do-it-yourself childhood brain issue diagnosis kit.

When you adopt a child he/she becomes YOUR child. And you pay child support if you don't have primary custody after a divorce. That's life. J IS his child. I hope he and J are still close. That photo with him and little J and Terri is so adorable. How the little one is leaning towards him/daddy.

He paid for his wife's college? No, say it ain't so!

He and J are NOT close. They have not seen each other in years. And his parents paid for Terri's education. Right before she dumped their son and hit him up for child support.

Wow, even the journalists in this story seem oddly childlike...:(

Important to remember that Kaine wouldn't have the job he has without a nanny! He would have to pay big dollars for one. Two kids, driving one to see mom eow, and taking complete responsibility for the schooling of Kyron.

I can't believe how some fail to see the value in all that she did. from the eek squad

What are you talking about? Single women raise children without nannies all the time!! Why is it a man cannot do what millions of women do successfully every day? That doesn't make sense.

Richard Ecker said he paid for her education, which remains a sore point for his parents.

Wasn't Richard the husband? Not the father-in-law?

I'm sorry to hear he and J are no longer close.

Terri's parents helped the two get a home! Please give Terri and parents some credit for what they contributed. moo  from the eek squad

Her husband's parents paid for her to attend college. She still owns the equity from that, all by herself IOW, she can take that diploma and get a good paying job. They could have sent their son to college instead.

Her parents gave them money to buy a house. Who do you suppose got the equity from that when it was sold. I don't know for sure, but I sure have an idea.

So, his parents and her parents both helped the couple. What Terri and Ecker each ended up with is vastly different.

There is interesting sentence in the article that no post has yet mentioned,

"I've never seen Kaine cry until Kyron went missing," J said, adding that his mother was hysterical.

Given the context, I assume Jxxxs is refering to Terri - rather than his step-mom Angela. This is the first indication we have that Terri reacted with intense emotion to Kyron's disappearance. I put more faith in Jxxx's portrayal of his mother's emotional state than I do that from Desiree, who accused Terri of having "ice in her veins."

She was hysterical, all right. "Don't listen to the news! The blogs are blaming ME! Don't tell your father I failed the lie detector test!"

Remember the Mustang was a gift for 'Mother's Day' - people can be bought by many different gestures. moo

This bread winner stuff is making me crazy!!! Kaine wouldn't have the job he has without a woman to run life without him! from the eek squad!

Really? Why not? Would you say a woman wouldn't hold a good job like that without a man in her life?

Single parents hold "jobs like that" without a significant other all over this country.

Wait ... what does pdx mean?

snipped & bbm

I suspect women have been trying to figure out the answer to that age-old question for about a zillion years lol!

Like: remember to put the toilet seat down.

OT - Thank goodness the Boy Toy gets a "A+" on that one.
