I feel we may never hear another word about this. Story isn't storying for me. I'll leave it at that.

It's not storying for me either.

Where's the other kid?
Why are LE not investigating any other victims?
How does a 10 year old child bust down a locked door and get away from 2 men with guns?
How did the kidnappers know where to leave the boy's clothes & backpack?
Why would they even bother?
Why does the video only show one kid running from that house?

hmmm, I have a lot of questions on this one and cannot really comment until some are answered. This story feels off.

I didn't realize there was video of the kid running from the house
wouldn't there also be video of the suspects taking him into the house?
and was the door broken when police looked?
so many questions ...

The video thats been posted looks like a small boy running across the street and a younger woman meeting him, and then both of them heading to the right, out of view, down the sidewalk.

There’s an interview with the 2 brothers and mother. The boy’s 6 year old brother was with him. He ran home to tell his mother.

The boy’s mother said that her son was walking home from the bus stop with his younger brother that afternoon when two men in ski masks and dressed in black grabbed him on Kraft Place.

She said the men then stuffed a sock in his mouth and took him to an abandoned home nearby.

Fox 8 spoke with the boys and their mother Friday on the condition of anonymity to protect the boy’s identity as an alleged victim of violent crime.

“My 10-year-old said they were holding hands, but you know when you’re running, eventually, your hands let go,” the boy’s mom said.

The mother said her other son got away after the men pushed him down.

“My six-year-old runs inside screaming and hollering hysterically saying they took my brother,” she said. “‘They took my brother.’”

I listened to the interview. I was hoping to hear from the dad as well, who was said to have been outside looking for the boy when he ran home and saw his dad outside.

In the video clip (taken from the house at 2317 Kraft Place at 5:24pm- based on the video in the article) it's really hard to tell because it's so fast, but you can see 2 people running from behind a van, and down the side walk. The taller person looks to be running slightly ahead of the smaller person. The taller person appears to be female but it's impossible to tell for sure.

The video starts at 1:53 in the video at the top of this page: 10-year-old boy able to escape kidnappers after being held at gunpoint, police say You can see one person come out of the house/down from the house porch and run over and join up with the shorter person coming out from behind the van and then they run off together.

I do not think that looks like the body language of a dad searching for a kidnapped son and finding him. MOO.

Recently we had a very similar case----remember the young boy who was riding his scooter I believe? On his street---and 2 masked men with guns grabbed him? It was on video I believe? But the boy was able to get away and run home.

I think that was kind of what happened---from memory.

But eventually it turned out that Dad's friend was the kidnapper because Dad owed $ from a sketchy deal of some kind?

Just noticing the similarities ....

The aforementioned video, WVUE FOX 8 New Orleans;

@Ontario Mom
The ring video isnt from the address you mentioned,
it's from a different house on the east side of Kraft Pl...
the location can be figured from the edge of the front
lawn lining up with the edge of that rougher(darker)
road surface section, with road section end-line which
lines up with near center of the house across the road...

These are black people, the father is a guy who
apparently has some kind of long, either braided or
dreadlocked hair.

What appears to happen is the father is ringing the
doorbell, he sees his son run out of the driveway of
a house across the street and son starts to run north,
father yells to the son and son comes south and they
meet up in the roadway and move away to the north.

Seems to me what happened is after the son allegedly
escaped the vacant house at 2068 Farragut St, the son
may have run south along Farragut St and seen a
different house with a driveway with straight unimpeded
access to its' rear fence, maybe he ran east down that
driveway, climbed over that houses rear fence and then
continued running east down the adjoining properties
driveway of a house on the west side of Kraft Place, then
started to run north along Kraft Place, his father seeing
his son when the son emerged from the driveway and
started to run north.

I'm not seeing anything about the incident on the NOPD
website;

From the article linked:

"Video captured the moment the boy managed to escape from the home as his father — who had been out searching for the boy — saw his son and rushed to his side. Later that day, the boy found that his clothes and backpack were placed across the street from his family's home."

So, the suspects are known to the family? The boy gave them his address? And another boy was already being held there?
Seriously weird case, but I'm sure glad the boys are okay.
So the father just happened to be walking past the house as his child broke down the door? IMO this must have all happened in the same neighborhood or all parties are known to each other.

Sometimes kids make up stories to avoid getting in trouble. I don't know if that happened here, but it's possible since things are not adding up exactly. MOO

I'm trying to make this make sense. These kidnappers were kind enough to return his clothes? How did they know where he lived? I would be looking at local teens in the area I don't know why but that's what keeps popping in my head. IMO

The video you posted is not the video I watched. The clip I saw never showed anyone at the front door, but only started when the 2 people were at the back of the van parked on the side of the street.
I went down google street view on Kraft and the address I posted is the only house on the street with that exact railing and exact paver pattern on the sidewalk.

EDIT for clarity - I accidentally posted the wrong street number for the house that had the Ring cam video, in an earlier post. Just wanted to clear that up.

The house the boy allegedly kicked down the door and escaped from, is just one street over from his house on Kraft. All the articles I've seen so far do say his dad was already out looking for him.

I can't acess the wsaz video, but the fox8live video has
the same thumbnail which lead me to believe they were
the same video.
You said above;
"I went down google street view on Kraft and the address

"

Anyway, the picture of the house you have posted is
not the house number 2x17 which you stated in a
previous post, but rather 2x18. Zoom in and read it
off the front wall.

Yes, I've clarified I posted the wrong house number.

I noticed something in the second video at approximately the 1:17 mark. Focus on the background between the brick house and the fence, where the child first appears. He appears to be walking. I don’t know if he sees his dad and that causes him to run, however he doesn’t appear to run in the direction of his dad. imo
