Authorities searched a home 2 miles from the Orleans Parish jail where they believe the video was made but did not find Massey. They did find clothing believed to be worn by him in the video.

I beg your finest pardon, a random member of the public called the jail and was like "hey by the way is Tra'von in his cell" and they were like "oh D*&^, Tra'von is not in his cell"... 6 HOURS after he escaped. I mean I am not a jail expert but keeping an eye on them and making sure they don't escape should probably be a higher priority in Louisiana.

Law enforcement officials are investigating a social media post that appears to show a picture of Massey just days after the fugitive appeared to have released videos on Instagram. In both posts, Massey proclaimed his innocence despite leaving the jail and still being on the run from authorities.

On Monday, a video surfaced on the social media platform of Massey arguing that he was being miscast as a mastermind behind last month’s historic breakout. In the video, Massey insisted he didn't break out of the lockup on May 16, but was instead "let out."

Authorities believe the video was filmed at a home in New Orleans less than three miles from the Orleans Parish jail, in the 1700 block of Agriculture Street.

Two months after jailbreak, Derrick Groves remains at large as fellow escapees plead not guilty to charges

A convicted killer with a history of violence remains at large more than two months after he and nine others escaped from the Orleans Parish Justice Center.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Nearly two months after 10 inmates escaped from a New Orleans jail by crawling through a hole behind a toilet, authorities have recaptured all but the man with the most violent rap sheet: Derrick Groves.

Following the May 16 jailbreak, law enforcement tracked down three escapees within 24 hours and most of the others within the next few weeks. While some of the fugitives roamed through nightlife hotspots and another made Instagram posts, Groves has so far kept a low profile.

The 28-year-old New Orleans native has the most at stake, authorities say. Last year, a jury convicted Groves of killing two people after he opened fire on a family block party with an assault rifle in what prosecutors said was a feud with rival drug dealers.
