Two juveniles arrested for beating toddler to death; mother, another adult charged with principal to murder

BATON ROUGE - Two juveniles, aged 10 and 12, were arrested Friday after allegedly beating a three-year-old girl to death while a group of children was left unsupervised.

Law enforcement officers were knocking on doors in the area when Terica Scott and Dineshia Yates—Blessing's mother—pulled up with their hazard lights on. The women told deputies they had just left the casino.

every time. every time I think I have seen how low people can be. WTF? I can't even with this one. They raised the little monsters that murdered little Blessing. Three guesses how the monsters came to be monsters. First wo don't count.

The little monsters will no doubt be charged as juveniles and come out of jail as adult monsters. JMO

Yates entered a "best interest" plea of guilty, which doesn't require her to formally admit guilt but still results in the same outcome. She was sentenced to 15 years in prison with all but 18 months of that sentence being suspended. Yates also pleaded guilty to two unrelated theft cases.

Scott pleaded not guilty and is expected to appear in court on May 5.
