Yeah I saw that. I'm confused though. Do you think that LPD is basing that off of Mouton's radio interview? His answer was sort of all over the place.

Do you think the Montgomery Police Reporter is the police department or just some blogger?
Ahh, nevermind. It says Montgomery County Police. I read the wrong line. :blushing:

Okay at this point we've got conflicting information. I think I'm going to include them both but I am still not sure if montgomerycountypolicereporter.com is MSM or not.

When I had asked the same question earlier, someone posted info (with some good links) that indicated it might not have actually gone into actual practice until a few years later, because of budgeting/implementation holdups, I think. Don't have the post right at hand -- if I find it, I'll bring it over.

Dang it - I went down to the motor vehicle office today to do some vehicle transactions... I could have asked the clerk!
:banghead:

I could call Baton Rouge on Monday.

Wonder where he got the poison ivy? Could be a clue.

Whether it was poison ivy, poison oak, or sumac, if true it is very revealing, NY625.
This would eliminate most fields, logging roads, power lines, and other cleared areas. This would indicate a densely forested area, imo. Whether he was walking through thick brush, laying down, or digging a shallow grave, he would have been in contact with one of the three. The allergic reaction & spread is much worse during the summer due to new growth and the person sweating..

Although this only eliminates a few areas. Imo, it is a significant indicator as to the topographical area that she will be located.

For some reason, I have always thought the truck was reported stolen on 5/31, since the PC with LE. I know there may have been a an issue, where it was stated as 5/21, I think, but I believed it to be 5/31. I don't think we can really know without seeing the police report.

Poison oak likes to grow along fence lines, too. Have a lot of it at my place. I also encountered poison oak at Whiskey Bay in the underbrush to the side of the bike dump area. It's so common that I'm not sure how much it tells us, though.

Someone sent an email to Mouton's office and the reply was that he has misspoken and the date was the 31st.

I'm still catching up so forgive me if its been said but.... this guy is caught on video following a girl that has essentially disappeared, then gets mugged in new orleans and stabbed multiple times on all sides, has his wallet, license and cash stolen, drives into texas and his truck gets stolen and is found torched days later- THEN comes home from being offshore and is arrested and put in jail with no bond... talk about bad luck.. sorry, I have a hard time applying "innocent till proven guilty" to this one... this isn't his first rodeo. Mickey's family and her community kept this so public I think he scrambled and got sloppy- jmo

Thanks for those links, Bessie!

I agree it all looks pretty suspicious.

On the driver's license thing, I was just at the Motor Vehicle office today. As you know, in LA you can get a license on the spot. It's not a sure thing that the license he reported stolen was the same one he used to buy the truck. In fact, if he's trying to make his assault story hold up, and having to drive for work, he well may have gone to get another one right away.

Does anyone know when they started putting "SEX OFFENDER" on the licenses? As another poster mentioned, if he got his old one in '08 when released from prison, maybe it didn't have the scarlet letter. Maybe he was pissed off that his new one had it, and so he hastily covered it up?

Oh, ITA he might have replaced his license before purchasing the new truck. As for the scarlet letter, however, his old license would have been flagged, too.

He must be feeling pretty persecuted.

Bad month... truck stolen, stabbed, and thrown in jail for murder one.

Yeah, I saw where he had to get a new one every year, anyway.... so ITA it doesn't apply.

On topix in Eunice, on July 11th, posted that he was at Opelousas General with cuts on his hand and a possible bite mark and covered in poison ivy but the poison ivy was so bad that they couldn't treat the cuts.
BTW, I heard this a few days ago through CajunNet - that he was treated at Oschner's and referred to Opelousas General for surgery, which they couldn't do because of poison ivy. This was well before this Oschner's news broke, btw.

I find it kind of interesting that sex offenses are the one offense that gets your license marked for life.

The guy that crushed Reginald Denny's skull like a vase at Florence and Normandie with a cinder block and sparked the L.A. riots was released from jail after a few years..... and then went on to murder someone.

Nothing on his license.... just sayin'

If he needed surgery then he possibly has tendon damage. Makes it hard to work a shovel.

That would militate against some possibilities.

Thanks for that info!

I just went back to look at the press release:
Further investigation revealed that the truck was reported stolen in Montgomery County, Texas and later located in San Jacinto County, Texas on May 31st.
I had assumed that it was located on the 31st, not reported stolen. So we are certain now that it was both reported stolen and located on the 31st? Because this article says different: http://montgomerycountypolicereporter.com/?p=47925

Watch him appear at the grand jury on the 18th with a bandaged hand and a splint....

ETA: Actually he probably wouldn't appear at a grand jury??
