Thanks for that info!

I just went back to look at the press release:I had assumed that it was located on the 31st, not reported stolen. So we are certain now that it was both reported stolen and located on the 31st? Because this article says different: http://montgomerycountypolicereporter.com/?p=47925

Someone's going to have to call Texas... if they will even release the info.

Really- why should one be "uncooperative" if they are merely a victim? I think he was in distress that the hospital even called LE, and then had to make up that story on the fly...I don't think the jersey, or the # he chose for it, mean anything and he probably said "white guy" because far too many people blame the anonymous "black guy" for crimes. Maybe he thought it sounded more believable. Who the H knows what goes through these minds.

Idk I might become uncooperative late at night after 2 hours of police questioning if I was the victim though. Thats not strange to me. Thats a long time of questioning!

Sorry, where did poison ivy come in?

  • #1,204
He had poison ivy, too?! :thud:

He's a magnet for bad luck. Just wish a poisonous snake had bit him before he could lay a hand on Mickey...or if aliens had abducted him and given him a probe :ufo:

  • #1,205
BTW, I heard this a few days ago through CajunNet - that he was treated at Oschner's and referred to Opelousas General for surgery, which they couldn't do because of poison ivy. This was well before this Oschner's news broke, btw.

Someone tore him up good.

His injuries are helping indict him.

OR find out what wrecker companies they contract with... :)

Call Montgomery County, ask for the number to the impound yard, and then ask someone there..... info might emerge.

No problem. I've been thinking about it for some time.

I'm not positive how things were conducted at Avoyelles in 2008, but at least now, visitors are forbidden from wearing white t-shirts and jeans, lest they be confused with inmates. The person of interest in the Jessica Hawk case was wearing jeans and a white shirt with a shorter-sleeved black shirt over the white.

http://doc.la.gov/pages/correctional-facilities/avoyelles-correctional-center/

I know that very, very few men would be so fashion-forward as to wear jeans and a white t-shirt (ha), but again- I'm adding it to my pile of information that will likely amount to nothing.

The only thing that ever stood out to me about the description of that clothing was that anyone would wear two shirts on an August day in New Orleans. It was about 90 degrees here on August 9, 2008.

Unless the second shirt was toI help make sure dna was not left behind.

You and I were having similar thoughts. Here are some sources that might be able to help us figure out a date to put on the timeline.

Didn't someone on here at one point have access to recordings of police and emergency vehicle frequencies? Here is a listing of the ones for Montgomery County. I would assume that the fire and police were called out to investigate the burned up truck, which we know was found burned on the 31st. Possibly there could be something recorded that someone could listen too?

and here is information on who they use for non-consent towing:

Got to go get some late dinner.

A very melancholy thought from last night.... I was out late and hungry and on the way back from the Krooked Nickel stopped at Mel's Diner about 3 a.m. The place was packed with young folks about Mickey's age... laughing...talking loud - hollering - as Mel's always is at that hour. I sat at the counter with my back to the room and ate my breakfast plate and just listened to all the drunk, happy noise. I just knew that if I turned around, Mickey would be there laughing with her friends... and I just wished she could have made it that far... It didn't take much imagining to feel that it was midnight on May 19th and that as long as I didn't turn around and look, she was right there, enjoying herself. I paid my bill and as I walked out into the muggy dark, thought of a little twinkling star missing from the room and wondered where she was.

JPSO= Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office

10:14 -- JPSO gets the call
10:16 -- Call is dispatched to the responding officer, JP146
10:51 -- JP146 advises JP184 that BSL is uncooperative

10:16-10:51 -- JP146 arrives at Ochsner. Security personnel tell him NOPD has just finished up with BSL. During the same time frame, BSL tells the officer NOPD interviewed him for two hours. That puts NOPD there at approximately 8:15-8:45. BSL would have arrived at Ochsner no later than about 8:00 p.m. That's three hours earlier that what the media reported.

Now if we could only get a copy of the NOPD report.

Some of this perhaps, on the timeline, to point out that NOPD had already been there, investigated & departed by JPSO's arrival time.

Totally O/T but wanted to share a bit of light relief. This link makes me wish the likes of BSL had run into these guys. Must say goodnight all. You have my deepest respect for all your brainstorming efforts and sleuthing on behalf of the victims and their loved ones. Goodnight and :gthanks:

And thats another thing that confuses me... Why kidnap someone so close to his own home? The sheer fact that he is an RSO in the area, he had to know that he would automatically be checked out.
I think I read somewhere that the police said he was driving around looking for a victim (not sure where I read this, sorry :() But it just doesn't seem well thought out. Definitely makes me think more along the lines of a crime of opportunity... IMO

I think BSL was brazen and sloppy because he's gotten away with similar events in the past.....moo

BSL travel to hospital...
Would he have possibly been planning to use this bridge?
If so... How far off track would that throw him?
I guess there would be signs posted warning him in advance IF his GPS
was not working! IMO his brain was the GPS and he wasn't aware of the closing??? Good excuse to use about getting lost though.
Huey P. Long Bridge: The entire bridge will be closed from 12:01 a.m. May 18 to 12:01 a.m. May 21 to remove old deck steel stringers.
