I thought it was reported that he did not have autism, that his mother's abuse is what caused the tiny little human to develop these symptoms/issues? Or has that not been 100% confirmed? I'm still seeing articles stating he had autism so really not sure...

How great is it to live in a country where the possibility that a little guy died as part of a crime is investigated, rigorously, by people who never knew him and who have nothing to gain through the pursuit aside from trying to get to the truth? … bless them all.
If only the first report was taken seriously enough to actually respond. Eight hours? When they know it's a child with high special needs, who left the home barefoot and wearing only a diaper? In the heat?

From one of the early, linked articles:

The Vasquez family is holding out hope that Bryan Vasquez is alive. Hilda Vasquez has three other children, ages 11, 7 and 4 weeks old, according to Rosales-Fajardo.

His remains were found inside the alligator 😞

I know 0 things about what happens inside an alligator

Will they be able to determine if he was alive when the alligator attacked or if the alligator attacked and he was already passed?

I am absolutely not convinced there is not more to this situation now that we know what we do

NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans Police confirmed Wednesday that 12-year-old Bryan Vasquez died from blunt force injuries caused by an alligator and subsequently drowned, following a 12-day search that ended in tragedy.

At a news conference outside NOPD headquarters, Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick said the Orleans Parish Coroner determined the cause of death after completing an autopsy of the body found Tuesday in a lagoon near Bryan’s home in the Michoud area of New Orleans East.

There was video of him running towards the lagoon. I don't think anyone threw him in, if that's what you mean. But I think he was tragically neglected, at best.

I know this isn't a pretty conversation, so skip if you want.

But they got him from the gators when they did the recovery. I think that only parts of him were in the stomach. The cause of death makes me think they know he was sadly alive when he was attacked. I'm assuming bruising/ bleeding/ maybe water in the lungs will show if it was pre or post mortem. I think the culpability lies in him not being checked on for so long, coupled with him getting out several times in the weeks before without securing him. I guess it's a possibility he was being put outside at night, but I think that would be the only way there could be more to this situation. In my opinion.

Absolutely death by neglect at minimum and i know he was seen running that direction, I guess I was thinking that the initial response to have been to assume he drown from the alligator without surrounding info. I’m not sure if they confirmed what time an adult left the home, but maybe it supported moms story or didn’t I can’t remember

Alligators, like hippos and polar bears, grab their victims and pull them under water. Hippos and polar bears go for the head, I think gators grab whatever they can.

Yes. And they will "store" them under logs and stuff. From the article I read or video I saw with the volunteer who found him, he said the 2 alligators emerged with the body and were swimming off with him. I'm assuming they let go of the body because the drone operator was scaring them with the drone to keep them away from him while they were trying to recover. The 2 alligators were attempting to go back and get him to carry him off to their next safe place.

The volunteers in the case will never be ok. And it was their extremely hard work that brought a close to that chapter of this case. They did such a good job.
