Police say that the father left his home Saturday and went to the 8800 block of Chef Menteur Highway to try and locate Carter. He located her around 10 p.m. and confronted her for leaving the house without his permission. The father told investigators that his daughter then started running away from him, towards the intersection of Chef Menteur Hwy and Gawain Street, then in an unknown direction.

This article dated Nov. 21 references three homicides that took place on a different block of that same street. Is it possible that Davion saw something and is afraid to come home? Or, more horrible, that those responsible know she saw something and went after her?
