I'm digging through march, April, and may news articles and crime reports in a local paper looking for any info about Hillary
I posted in a diff thread a few days ago to someone who was having a really hard time with one specific case, and i said .... i think at some point it all comes to a head and we lose it on one case....I think this is mine. My DD is 21, has tattoos and piercings all over, maybe smokes an illegal substance now and then, and works in a bar.....I hope to hell someone would give a **** if she turned up missing, despite her choice of artistic expression or any other life choice!
I have already (on numerous occasions) let the BF know that I know things far worse than death to anyone who harms one of my kids...trust me, he knows it to be true!
If she lived in NOLA and was found murdered, I would have received an alert. The other possibility is that there were no obvious signs of foul play, and her death appeared to be a suicide or OD.There is zero information. How can that be? Why was this death so completely dismissed? If the present scenario hadn't played out so dramatically, we'd never have known.
Is this the community to take up the issue of the Ignored Missing? Is there a better place?
None of us is so firmly planted in any social position that a half step couldn't push us into the marginalized zone.
Missing children of color are my personal great concern. Of all of the Ignored Missing, what is sadder than a child no one notices is gone? What child deserves that? It's shameful.
(questions are rhetorical, btw)
i don't think it's always that people "care" more about one girl over another. it seems like some families drum up the media and get together search teams etc while other families don't do this. they let the police do the job alone. i feel like the families and friends have to really shake things up in order to get coverage. once they get that coverage, then the public is interested and it grows from there. it's the initial "shake em' up" that is so important

While the association between Hillary Moulder and Jaren Lockhart is certainly disturbing, I think that people should be very cautious in referring to Moulder as a murder victim.
Her death was no doubt tragic, but I do find it a bit hard to believe that a homicide victim would garner no media or police attention whatsoever, especially in this day and age.
I disagree, I have seen MANY cases where family has tried to get the media interested in their loved ones cases. Both missing and unsolved murders. Stephanie Lowe for one. Her poor Mom tried to raise money for a reward fund and well ... I think it's at $2,500 today. Her case is on WS, take a look at it. Her Father gave a heart rending interview, he searched a river for his "little girl" for weeks, all alone in a boat.
Not jumping on you justwannahelp, just frustrated with the ugliness in the world tonight.

Someone who knows both her and Jaren, stated she was murdered?

Maybe the coroner thinks she OD'd? I read earlier that her body was badly decomposed. Would decomposition make it more dificult to determine if a person was strangled, or smothered with a pillow?
And does anyone know if drugs stay in your system after you've decomposed?
What I'm wondering is, if she was murdered, but the coroner could find no cause of death, would they look at her substance abuse history, and just assume she OD'd and close her case?

I emailed WDSU, WWLTV and NOLA.com too with what little info is available and suggested they might want to look into it. Maybe they'll take interest after hearing from more than one person. Hoping they will follow up.Ok I emailed WDSU, WWLTV, KATCTV, WLOX, AND FOX8NEWS gave em all these links and said look into similarities between Hillary and Jaren - I hope it helps!!

Even if she died of natural causes, if she wasn't found for a time, wouldn't that make the news?

Probably not. Sadly, those cases aren't uncommon. But if LE investigated it as a crime, I'm sure there would have been media coverage, and I'm certain I would have received a real time alert. No doubt. But, if it were later ruled a homicide, maybe not.Sweetly1 definitely said murdered.
It's tough to tell from where I am.

I've read entirely too many posts this past week. Maybe I need a nap.
Have you heard of Kalisha Madden?
...In media eyes, not too newsworthy as they found out after running her story in early days then nothing since!
